24. Jealous!
Dark Temptation!
Author's POV
"You can take only one name. Not both!"
Garry said. They wanted to come to the conclusion but she was saying either both or none which wasn't helping.
Arabella closed her mouth, she was confused and was struggling to think straight. If she takes Arthur's name then Oliver will be mad at her and if she takes Oliver's name then Arthur will get mad.
"I don't know!"
She was shaking in nervousness. Her face was red and she was sweating. Breathing was uneven and it wasn't looking good.
"It's okay, you don't have to answer."
Oliver and Arthur said in unison and looked at each other with hateful glare. When it comes to the girl, both had same thought.
"Relax and go inside."
Oliver assured her.
She quickly ran away, leaving the tension as it is.
"Guys, you can't fight like this... We have to come to the solution."
Noah suggested.
"It will ruin your relationship. You have a beautiful family."
He was making sense.
"He is right, I don't want to fight with my brother."
Oliver turned towards Arthur.
"Neither do I, So back off."
Arthur mocked.
"I can say the same, Arthur. Don't fucking test me, I am not fucking around with this girl."
Oliver warned.
"I met her first, she is mine. Why do you have to fuck it up?"
"It doesn't matter if you want her or not. The question is, does she wants you."
Arthur questioned pointedly.
"Exactly!"
Noah interrupted.
"This applies to both of you... Guys, we need to see whom she wants."
"Be precise!"
Garry was annoyed.
"She is seventeen and you guys can't do anything until she turns eighteen, means you can't even date her... We have time to get her answer. You guys can keep treating her the way you do and when she turns eighteen, ask her whom she wants."
Noah explained.
"I agree. But till then you have to be careful. Guys, she is innocent and if she learns about it then she might get scared of the situation and none of us wants that."
Garry said.
"You can't tell her about the situation."
Arthur nodded.
"I agree."
He was confident that he can win her heart before Oliver.
"Fine, let's do it."
Oliver was also not backing up.
Noah and Garry sighed in relief when brothers walked away.
"We need keep eyes on them, Noah... If Rose found out about it then we all will be dead."
Garry rubbed his face frustrated.
"Do you think Arthur is serious?"
Noah asked.
"Damn serious, bro... What about Oliver, he change his girlfriends frequently."
Garry was hopeful that Oliver might give up.
"Not this time, bro... Not this time. We are in trouble."
Noah shook his head.
"I am scared. Just make sure that they don't kill each other."
Arabella was sitting in the kitchen alone, Cami was not there.
She looked up and grew tensed when Oliver entered and sat beside her.
"Kitten, you don't have to do this job... I'll give you all the money you need."
He didn't like her working so hard.
Arabella became sad.
"Sir, I want to do it... Not just for money but for my self esteem... I don't like charity, I was not always an orphan."
She mumbled.
Oliver rubbed his forehead and sighed, he has understood that she loves her job for some reason.
"It's not a charity."
He couldn't understand how to explain it to her. He can't tell her the truth.
"Why do you want to destroy her self esteem, Oliver..."
Arthur was leaning against the door with smirk.
"She wants to earn money with hardwork..."
Oliver glared at him, he knew that Arthur will interrupt.
"She is young for the job."
He cursed silently when Arthur sat on other side of Arabella.
The jealousy was igniting between the brothers.
She was sitting between them and they were huge. It felt like she is a tiny butterfly between two mountains, there presence was intimidating.
This is the first time she has got the chance to look at them closely, they both looked the same. Same face and even body was same. It's just eyes which tells the difference.
"Let's ask her... You want to do the job. Aren't you, Dove?"
He gently kissed her hand and she froze.
Oliver gritted so hard that his jaw almost broke but he couldn't do anything.
"Yes"
She nodded and looked at Oliver.
"Please!"
Oliver smiled at her and pulled her hand away from Arthur's hold.
"If you are happy then I am okay with it... Do whatever makes you happy."
"Thank you!"
She smiled.
He smiled widened his smile and he caressed her head.
"It's late, go back now."
She nodded and got up.
"Bye!"
"Go and sit inside the car... I'll drop you as 'always'..."
Arthur smirked at Oliver.
"Chief, I'll manage. You don't have to bother yourself everyday."
She replied hesitantly. She didn't want to sit in his car after that incident.
"It's dark. How are you going to go alone. Be a good girl, go!"
He got up and Oliver's blood was boiling from inside.
Arabella nodded helplessly and went out.
"You are pissing me off..."
Oliver gritted as he got up.
"This is just a beginning... You will see how comfortable she is with me."
Arthur mocked.
"Sweet dreams!"
Arthur grabbed his car keys and went out to his car. Arabella was waiting for him there.
He opened the door and noticed something weird, he checked and realised that tires are punctured.
"Oliver!"
He gritted.
"Ohh, your car is punctured?"
Oliver was leaning against the door frame.
"You should be careful. Roads here are rough... But what are you going to do now?"
He mocked.
Arabella looked at him, he was leaning by the door frame. Still shirtless and crossing his hands over his chest. Mocking smirk spreading across his face. She turned her face towards Arthur who was looking pissed.
Arthur's blood was boiling now.
"You__"
He clenched his fist and stepped towards Oliver who was prepared for the attack.
Garry rushed in between at the same time.
"It's okay, Arabella I'll drop you... I am going to the market for some work. I'll drop you on the way. And Arthur, I'll bring mechanic too.. Right now, she needs to go back safe."
Arthur didn't do anything in front of her.
"Fine. Go with him."
"Okay!"
She nodded.
Garry started the car and she looked at him.
"Is there any problem, Garry?"
She asked.
"Problem, as in?"
He chuckled nervously.
"Means, the environment looks stressed whenever they come in front of each other..."
She did noticed it.
"Nothing, they sometimes fight like every other siblings do. Nothing big... You just stay normal around them. No need to pay attention to the tension between them. It's their problem. You just focus on yourself and do whatever your mind says."
He assured.
"There is your friend. Good night!"
Arabella saw Julie and opened the door.
"Thank you for the advice and dropping me... Garry, can you do one more thing for me?"
He looked at her curiously.
"Yes?"
"I don't like sitting inside the car, I don't know why. I don't like the smell in it. It suffocates me and since that night, I don't feel comfortable travelling in a car. I can walk here. Can you tell them not to force me. I am scared that they both might get offend."
She requested.
"What smell?"
He frowned.
"Something weird. Sour and like medicines."
She made disgusted face.
Garry understood that her nose is sensitive to the smell of drugs which they sometimes carry in the car.
"I got it. Don't worry, I'll talk to both of them."
She smiled and thanked him.
Garry went back and brothers were still daggering each other with piercing gaze in the lawn.
"Guys, we need to make some rules... Not for you two but for the sake of that innocent girl."
He declared and both of them frowned at him.
