Chapter 49

48. The Dilemma!

Dark Temptation!

Author's POV

Arabella was sleeping in her bed peacefully when kisses on her cheeks woke her up.

She blinked her eyes open and smiled when she saw Knight brothers.

"What are you doing here?"

She sat up and looked around surprised when she saw her room filled with balloons and decorations.

"Oh my god!"

She smiled at the surprised.

"Happy birthday!"

Both of them wished her.

"Thank you!"

She was still admiring the efforts.

"But there was no need to do all this..."

"Why? Special person needs special treatment."

Oliver grabbed her hand and guided her out of the bed.

She looked at them confused when they led her out of the room, not understanding why outside when her room is decorated.

Her eyes widened when everyone was waiting for her in the living room.

There was a big cake on the decorated table and she knows that the baker was Cami.

"Happy birthday!"

Everyone wished her.

Cami, Damian, Rose, Skyler, Rosetta, Noah, Garry and Julie was also there. She hugged her tightly.

"Happy eighteen, best friend!"

She was jumping excitedly

"Thank you for all this..."

She looked at brothers and they both smiled.

She cut the cake and turned to feed them but got confused whom to feed first because both of them were looking at her.

She paused for a moment and Skyler was looking at them amused. He never thought that Knight brothers would end up in this situation.

Arabella turned back to cake and grabbed another piece, everyone laughed when she fed both of them at once.

"She is smart."

Skyler whispered to Rosetta.

"Can handle both of them."

Rosetta shook her head with a sigh.

"They can never share anything and even if they do, they destroy it... I know them since childhood."

Arabella fed cake to everyone and finally she went to Rose who was leaning against the pillar silently.

Rose looked at the big cake piece and shook her head.

"I am cutting on sugar."

Arabella looked at the piece and pinched small amount.

"I cut it..."

She wasn't going to back off.

Rose opened her mouth and let her feed the cake, Arabella smiled when she ate.

"Hmm, she is stubborn too..."

Skyler smirked.

"It will be fun... And don't you think Rose is impressed with her?"

Rosetta frowned.

"Mom? I don't think so, she scolded her the other day for clumsiness."

Skyler was confident.

"No! Look at Rose. I know this look in her eyes. She only looks at someone like this when she knows that the person is doing right thing."

"So maybe it's possible but Arabella can't have both of them, they are not cooperative."

Rosetta looked at them worriedly.

"I don't know why but it feels like something bad is going to happen."

After celebration, Arabella sat on the swing in the garden. Looking at moon and thinking about the future.

"I am jealous of the moon. You seem to admire it more than me."

Oliver sat beside her.

She smiled at him.

"You don't have to..."

"Kitten, I need to ask you something."

His smile fell and her heartbeat increased.

"Wait!"

She hugged him tightly and he got confused but hugged her back like there is no tomorrow.

She took her time and then looked at him.

He caressed her cheek and kissed her head.

"I think you know what I am going to ask you..."

He released a heavy sigh.

"The decision might be difficult but I know you can do it..."

Her breathing quickened.

"I love you, Kitten... I love you the way I have never loved anything..."

She looked at him with glossy eyes.

"Sir!"

He smiled sadly.

"Call me Oliver, you have all the right."

"Oliver!"

She breathed out.

"It's ___"

He saw the dilemma on her face.

"Can I answer this question in the evening? I need time to clear out my thoughts."

"Off course!"

He got up and kissed her head again.

"I'll respect whatever decision you make but remember one thing, Kitten... Choosing both is not an option."

Her eyes turned glossy when he said that.

"Got it, Oliver."

He patted her cheek with sad smile and walked away. Arabella could feel the ball of emotions rolling in her stomach.

She got up and walked back and forth.

"Dove!"

She stopped and turned around when Arthur called her.

"Chief!"

She ran to his arms.

Arthur hugged her tightly.

"I am not your Chief, it's Arthur for you..."

She broke the hug and looked at him.

"Are you here to put me in dilemma too?"

Her throat tightened.

"Why are you guys making me stand in tough place?"

He cupped her face.

"Trust me, we both are breaking every second from inside... But we have to go through this. I have never loved anything the way I love you, Dove... You have captured my soul and I am not going to share this divine feeling with anyone. Never!..."

"Arthur!"

She closed her eyes in pain.

"You have to choose one, my love... Two swords cannot stay in one scabbard."

He kissed her head.

"I'll wait for your decision... And I know you will make the best one."

Arabella stood there with lump in her throat when he walked away. Her heart was heavy with emotions, sinking her chest with the dilemma.

She closed her eyes and stood there, trying to hold her tears back.

"It's okay to cry when you can't control it..."

She opened her eyes when she heard Rose.

"I did too."

"They say that two swords cannot stay in one scabbard, is it really that easy to compare the situation like this."

She questioned.

"I can't control these emotions, why it's so difficult?"

Rose froze when Arabella placed head on her chest, Arabella didn't hug her but placing head on there gave her a bit of security. Rose hesitated but caressed her back as her tears drenched her shirt.

She didn't say anything, just kept caressing her back.

Arabella cried her heart out.

"You were right... I ruined it."

She broke the hug and looked at Rose.

Rose sighed, not knowing what to say.

"What is your decision now?"

Arabella looked at her defeated when she asked that.
