Chapter 69

68. The Worthy One!

Dark Temptation!

Author's POV

"He is an asshole..."

Julie exclaimed.

"I don't know what's wrong with him. He bully me everytime and calls me ugly, he always try to dominate me specially when I talk to men... So annoying!"

Arabella nodded in understanding.

"Specially when you talk to other men, seriously annoying."

Her eyebrows raised amused.

"But you are beautiful."

"I know, right!"

She shrugged and sulked.

"I even changed my dressing style... I look classy now... I shouldn't pay attention to the man who looks like a potato anyway... I mean hot potato but who cares, right?"

Arabella nodded.

"Absolutely!"

"Whatever, let's have a breakfast."

She grabbed her hand and went to the dining table. Julie was still bubbly girl and Arabella was stern and boss girl. Their pair looked like deer is walking with lioness.

Julie looked at Arabella as she started eating silently without any silly talking or childish behaviour.

"You now have the aura of Don, like Chief and Sir... My god! Am I having a little crush on you?"

Arabella looked at her amused.

"I don't like green colour and I am straight."

Julie scowled.

"That hot potato says the same thing about green colour... You morally grey people are so mean... Anyways, forget about it. First tell me did you really had sex with Chief or it's just a rumour?"

Arabella stopped eating and looked at her plate for a while.

"It's true!"

Julie gasped.

"Oh my god! Wow. It means everything is fine between you two."

"No!"

Arabella resumed her eating.

Julie's smile fell.

"No? Does that mean he used you?"

She felt disgusted.

"How can he do that?"

"I am his slave now, Julie... He can do anything he wants with me. My life is devoted to him until he is paying Rancho."

Arabella replied.

Julie shook her head furiously.

"This is disgusting. Seriously!"

She got up.

"You are a human and they can't treat you like an auctioned object."

"I am auctioned!"

Arabella smiled bitterly.

"I can't with this___"

She took a deep breath to control her outburst.

"Please, excuse me."

Arabella watched her storming away and sighed.

She was almost done eating when one by one other members joined the breakfast table.

"So April, I heard you are getting engaged next week... Congratulations!"

Ombre purposely talked about it because Arabella was there.

"Yes, I am so happy and excited..."

April wrapped her hand around Oliver's arm and grinned.

Arabella's eyes paused where she was holding Oliver and then glared at Oliver. He almost gulped when he looked that deadly look in her eye, it looked like she will kill April at any moment.

Oliver removed April's hand from his arm.

"I am eating..."

Arabella lowered her eyes when he removed her hand and got up to leave but Ombre grabbed her hand.

"Arabella, where are you going? I have ordered a cake to congratulate you. After all you have won the lengendary bike, sorry I mean you have got it as a legacy but still it's yours so we have to celebrate it."

Arabella removed her hand from her wrist.

"I don't like cakes."

She started walking away.

"Sure! But you like taking someone's achievement as a pass on."

Ombre mocked and Lilly came in at the same time.

"Excuse me! We all know that she deserves it and Rose ma'am knows who is worthy so take your jealous ass somewhere else."

Julie snapped at her.

Noah placed his juice glass down and looked at Julie curiously.

"Can I have some popcorns instead?"

He whispered to Garry.

"What?"

Garry frowned at him.

"It's fun to watch girls fighting... See, Knight brothers are also enjoying."

Noah chuckled and Garry looked at them with raised eyebrows, they were actually watching them curiously. Men will be men!

"I am jealous!?"

Ombre scoffed.

"Please! You don't even know what I can do and Rose ma'am choose me in the whole agency which shows my worth. I am not someone who has trapped people in emotional connection which goes on and off with convenience, taking things by emotional blackmailing is not my style. And I haven't failed any mission till now unlike someone else."

"As much as I know, you were Arabella's student."

Julie mocked.

"Junior! I was a junior, not student. And hierarchy doesn't decide someone's skills."

She replied arrogantly.

"Right! I agree with Ombre."

Rosetta entered and everyone looked at her.

"Hierarchy doesn't decide someone's skills."

"Exactly!"

Ombre agreed.

"Then have a match."

Rosetta suggested.

"You fight with Arabella, defeat her and prove that you are better than her..."

Ombre got up.

"I am ready."

She was confident that she will win because Arabella was injured and also because she has never fought with Arabella directly.

Arthur shook his head.

"Match won't be fair. She is injured. I can't allow this."

"It's a little injury, Arthur... It's not a big deal."

Rosetta shrugged.

"One fighter should always be ready for the fight... What do you say, Arabella?"

"I agree, ma'am."

Arabella replied calmly.

Arthur frowned at Rosetta, not knowing what she wanted to do but he was confident that Arabella will win and it's not hard for her to take Ombre down but still he was worried about her injury.

"Let's go out, guys... Let's do it now!"

Rosetta announced.

When everyone was walking out Arthur pulled Rosetta back.

"What are you trying to do?"

Rosetta smirked.

"Ombre is disrespecting my mother's decision... I just want to see her bloody face covered in dust... Chill bro! Arabella defeated me, Ombre is nothing more than annoying mosquito for her."

They walked out towards the ground. Girls were already in front of each other. The Match started and Ombre took the advantage very smartly. She attacked Arabella's injury first.

The injury was still fresh and Arabella was still recovering from the drug effects, Ombre's attack hit the exact spot and she groaned in pain making everyone's heart stop beating for a moment.

"Stop!"

Oliver yelled as his heart skipped a beat.
