Chapter 120
I Am The Luna
I Am The Luna by Moonlight Muse Chapter 120
A Stance
SEBASTIAN.
My eyes flash and Iâm fucking done with their twisted blackmail. I turn in a flash with blazing eyes, my
hands slipping into their pockets where I know both men keep their guns. Cocking the trigger, I tilt my
head.
âIâm done listening to your fucking blackmail, the both of you. Keep at it and I wonât hold back from
blowing your fucking heads off. Iâm here, and I know exactly how much you fucking need me. Keep
antagonising me and I will not hesitate to kill either of you,â I say coldly. 2
Iâve had enough of their fucking games, but I also know how much value I fucking hold to them.
Thereâs a glimmer of surprise in Gerardâs eyes and even unease in Lawrenceâs.
âSebastian⦠we just wanted to make sure that you are-â Lawrence begins. Heâs angry, but I really donât
give a fuck.
âAre we fucking clear?â I growl, my anger rippling through the halls.
âAre you forgetting who is in charge, Sebastian?â Lawrence says, his eyes cold.
âLast I checked⦠itâs no longer you,â I say, turning both guns on him and pulling the trigger just as
Gerard shouts out. Blood splatters everywhere from the close impact of the bullet as his brains spill out
of his head and his body falls to the ground â dead. 19
The sound of the bullets ringing in the hall as I empty body guns, pouring my rage into those shots.
Gerard drops to his knees, visibly pale as he realises thereâs nothing he can do.
âCongratulations, youâre in charge now,â I say coldly.
âSebastian that was-â
âI hope you learn that I am not going to let anyone fuck me over. I accepted your condition to join on
one single fucking term and that was that Sia will be healed. Iâm warning you, I will ruin you all if
anything happens to her!â I snarl, my eyes blazing as I glare at him. Heâs exuding his aura, but it is
nothing compared to mine and even he fucking knows that.
âSebastianâ¦â
As much as I want to fucking behead him, too, I need that antidoteâ¦
âAnd itâs only right that the Kingsâ hold the title of leader considering there are three of us here and only
one Toussaint,â I say, holding his gun out to him.
He takes it slowly, a frown on his face, but I know his hunger for power will overpower any doubts he
has.
âThat was a reckless move, Sebastianâ¦â he sighs heavily.
âI donât really care. One more time that Iâm questioned on my fucking intentions, Iâm done. I donât care
about this entire fucking war, or who is on what side. Iâve made that clear. All I want is for my daughter
to be healed. Blackmail me one more time and you will end up just like him.â I say quietly, my threat
unmasked, backed with a promise he knows I will keep.
He forces a smirk, and though heâs trying to look relaxed, heâs anything but that.
I knew Lawrence was the mastermind behind them, and taking him out would ultimately make this
easier for me, tooâ¦
âSpoken like a true King. You are indeed mine.â
Gerard smirks as he stands up and wipes his hands on his pants.
Not that I fucking want to be.
âGlad weâre on the same page⦠now that antidote,â I say, my eyes cold. /
âI will give it to you as promised, but how do you plan to deliver it? And to whom?â Gerard asks quietly.
I frown, âI havenât thought so far. Especially since I donât want anyone to know⦠perhaps I could sneak
in. Thereâs got to be a way in where they wonât see me.â
âIt would be risky.â He replies, looking down at Lawrenceâs dead body.
âIs there a way that you might know?â
âThereâs one, but the chances are they have discovered it since Agathaâs truth has been revealed.â
âSo, she knows a way in or out?â I ask, masking the anger that is bubbling inside of me. Her betrayal is
something that is still fucking with my mind.
âYes, that is correct⦠an entrance right into the King mansion itself, but it is a risk. Iâm sure theyâve
figured it out or will soon. Do you also think you can still access the safe house as Zaia seems to have
shut you out from all âsecurity access, correct?â
Good pointâ¦
âIâll find a way once Iâm there,â I say, âBut you do understand this is risky, donât you?
That you have just killed one of our leaders and that will cause unrest amongst our people,â Gerard
says just as Zade and Gaultier come into view.
They both look at Lawrenceâs body on the floor as Zade snarls, running over to him.
âAnd you trust him?! Look what heâs fucking done!â he shouts, looking at Gerard.
Gaultier is observing me intently but remains silent.
âSilence Zade. We have to do what is right for Lawrenceâs vision and itâs better our people donât learn of
this. Not before the war.
Gerard sighs, âIt is a messâ¦â
âA mess? Itâs fucking betrayal?! You are siding with him because he is a fucking King!â
âLawrence is-was a very important person in our team! I am not siding with anyone Zade! Killing him
comes with repercussions and that is a price that Sebastian will pay!â Gerard warns.
If you are all fucking alive for that.
âI will wait for it.â Zade spits.
âThen we make our move the day you give your daughter the antidote. You will sneak in, administer the
antidote and then join us to destroy the triquetraâ¦â Gerard says, his eyes now on me.
âI want to be the one to handle my sister
because I donât think Sebastian can do that,â Zade says, his good eye filled with hatred as he glares at
me. Gaultier puts a hand on his shoulder, but Zade shrugs it off.
âI think thatâs fairâ¦â Gerard agrees. âI think itâs time we move the plans forward. We wonât wait for Zaia
to come to us, we will go to her.â
Fuck, thatâs not what I wanted. I wanted to make sure Sia was alright before I even turned on themâ¦
âI think thatâs a good idea. After all, we no longer have surveillance on the territory, but we know the
place inside outâ¦â Gaultier says, cracking his knuckles.
âItâs time to make those bitches pay.â Zade spits, glaring at me. If it was up to him, heâd happily kill me
too and the feeling is fucking mutual.
âThen it sounds like a plan, letâs end this. Iâm looking forward to reclaiming my pack.â I say, not that I
deserve it in any fucking way, but Iâve pushed them enough.
âThen letâs tell our members that Lawrence is dead⦠and move the plan forward for tomorrow night.
Sebastian, I will hand you the antidoteâ¦
but as you can understand with everything that has happened, I will need to take precautions.â
âOf course,â I reply. I wasnât expecting anything else.
âGood⦠you will be under surveillance the entire time that you go into the pack and administer the
antidote. Is that fair?â
âAbsolutely,â I say. âBesides, you have that poison mist set up around the pack.â
He frowns. âThose were added to the camera devicesâ¦â He mutters, my heart skips a beat, and he
looks at me sharply.
âFuck. Wonât that affect our battle plans?â I ask, trying to cover the excitement and relief Iâm feeling.
âNo, we will be fine.â He replies, but I also know I canât just rely on his word, that poison might still be
out thereâ¦
âI still want to know how they learned the location of every fucking camera.â Gaultier remarks, his voice
sinister, and I can feel his eyes on me, but I ignore him.
All I need to do is make sure my angel livesâ¦
The three exchange looks and once again I know Iâm being left out, but it doesnât matter. They donât
realise that the Scarlet Beast is not someone they can take on. She might be a woman, she might not
be a seasoned fighter like the three of us, but she is more than that.
So much fucking more.
Now all I need to do is make sure that the antidote is in fact real. I turn to Gerard, looking him dead in
the eye.
âThen letâs see that antidote and get this plan into action.â
The night and the following day passes quickly, yet at the same time extremely slowlyâ¦
The antidote is now finally in my grasp, but at the same time, it is time for warâ¦
Plans for the attack are discussed and I will be given the map to the entrance to the pack grounds, too.
I just hope I manage to mind link either Zaia or Dad. I needed to warn themâ¦
Dad might be my best bet as Zaia seems to have blocked me out, but is he completely trustworthy?
From what I can tell, he is not part of the Sable.
âHere.â
I look at the vial that Gerard passes to me.
âIs this it?â I ask.
âThereâs enough in there to heal five people. Sia was given a poison consisting of a special type of
wolfsbane, ashbane, lead, omega blood and a sprinkle of Moon Dust, which is lethal to all who
consume it. It damages and weakens the bodyâs organs and they will end up failing. She is strong. I
guess itâs the powerful blood that made her or by now most would have died.â He says.
So that was what it was made ofâ¦
âMoon Dust?â I ask, frowning.
âYes.â
âYou were looking for that. I thought Moon Dust onlyâ¦â I trail off, realisation striking me and I look up at
him sharply. âWere you planning to somehow poison the opposition with it?â
Gerard smirks. âSomething like that. It was why Lawrence wanted it back⦠however, we are not sure
where it is despite looking for it. We would have added it to the gases around the pack, but
it doesnât matter. We will win without it.â
âSo that was why⦠but he said it was a small sack. How many men could that have killed?â
âOh, hundreds. This poison given to Sia contained only a pinch, and that poison made a dozen bottles
but Zaia⦠it seems she has some kind of immunity to Moon Dust or the child in the womb who was
injected would have died instantly and the second would have been extremely sick.â
Sheâs the saviour of my kidsâ¦
âZaia is powerful, and that is something I donât want any of you to underestimate.â Gerard continues as
we leave the vault walking down the hall towards the underground arena where their men are
assembled. He looks at both Zade and Gaultier as if wanting them to remember that.
âSheâs a woman. How powerful can she be?â
Zade sneers.
âStronger than you.â Gerard counters.
âThen does that mean the Goddess is backing her and not us?â Gaultier asks quietly.
Gerard frowns. âWhether she is or not, Zaia has chosen the wrong side. Kill her.â
âUnderstood, and that is something I will do willingly,â Zade says, not an ounce of emotion in his voice.
Their words only make the hatred I feel for them grow stronger. These were the people who
ripped me and my family apart. From the very start, they tried to drive a wedge between us, and they
succeededâ¦
I stare down at the bottle. âWhy? Why was she given that poison to start with, before she was even
born⦠what was your incentive?â I ask Gerard. That was a question I have always wondered yet never
asked.
âOh, well⦠to use as something against Zaia⦠or yourself, I hope you understand that it was
necessary for our noble cause.â
His words are smooth but thereâs a change in Gaultierâs heart rate.
What are they keeping from me?
âIn a not so very noble manner. My rule stands for this war. Children and the unarmed who are not part
of the oppositionâs combat force are not to be touched.â I say, pocketing the vial.
âWe will try, Sebastian, but remember, this is war.â Gerard reminds me as we head into the lift and go
down.
I nod. âIndeed, it is.â
The lift comes to a stop and the four of us step out and I find myself staring at hundreds and hundreds
of men, fully covered and masked with guns in hand. The manpower they possess is far greater than I
had ever imagined, making my stomach twist.
âSurprised?â Gerardâs sinister whisper comes.
âImpressed,â I reply smoothly.
âAnd this is why we will win. Real werewolves from every corner of the world. Gathered and trained for
years.â
Fuckâ¦
âLetâs cleanse the world of the disbelievers!â
Gerard calls now, turning away from me.
âFor the Sable!â Gaultier says, holding his fist out. Zade instantly holds his out and I follow suit,
touching mine against theirs. The moment we do, a dark blue shimmering triangle forms. above us,
power zipping through every inch of my body as my eyes blaze.
âLetâs do this,â I whisper, but even that rings loud in the darkness.
Itâs timeâ¦
Weâre coming, Zaia⦠I know you got this⦠Iâll be thereâ¦
Soon.
