The food was not the determining factor of love. An individual who truly loved and cared would find
anything the partner did charming.
Lost in cooking, Bella did not realize Justin sneaking up behind her.
âAh!â
She exclaimed as Justin pulled her into his arms, enveloping her in his musky scent.
âYou canât sit still, can you? I havenât been gone for long, girl. Why arenât you resting?â
His arms locking around her waist longingly pained her.
Still, she did not say anything about it. Instead, she put her right hand over his tensed hand and gave
him a gentle pat as he held her.
His heavy heaving lingered along the wisps of her hair and her ne stirring a moist and tickling
sensation.
She shuddered and caught a whiff of tobacco. She frowned. âHuh Did you smoke?â
âIâm sorry, Bella. I couldnât help myself.â
Justinâs voice was hoarse with guilt. He rested his chin on her shoulder, snuggling up to her. âIt wonât
happen again.â
âIs something on your mind?â Sensing his crestfallen mood, Bella was alarmed.
âNo.â
âDid Chairman Salvador give you trouble at work today?â
Nothing went past the womanâs eye.
Justin curled his lips wryly. âI need to check later whether you planted a bug on me.â
âHmph! Yeah, I did. Here.â
Bella turned around and cheekily poked his chest. âWas it about Shannon?â
âI held a corporate meeting today to relieve Shannon of all her duties. Gregory wasnât having it. He still
wants to save Shannon.â
Justin spoke nonchalantly and tucked her stray hair behind her ear. But donât worry, I wonât let him get
away with it. Shannon must die.â
âHeâs not trying to protect Shannon. At the end of the day, heâs trying to protect himself. God knows
what the public will say about hir nothing ends well for every woman he was with.â Bella spoke her
mind.
âI know. The best thing about my dad is that heâs selfish.â
Upset, Justin sighed dejectedly. He felt like his family problem was extended to her. âBut donât worry.
When we get married, we wonât stay at Tideview Manor. Weâll move out.â
Get married?
Bellaâs heart raced, and she blushed.
âIf you want to spend more time with your family, Iâll live with you in Hatchbay. If youâre worried about
Grandpa, we can buy a property in Crescent Bay. Itâll be easy to get together.â Justinâs eyes sparkled
as he envisioned their future together.
âGrandpa called me two days ago. He asked how I was doing and said that he had enough of Savrow
because of how manipulative people are. Heâs thinking about living in Hatchbay with me.â Bellaâs
lashes fluttered, and her voice was soft.
âYouâre the boss.â
Justin kissed her lips.
They locked lips, and their breaths mingled.
A while later, Bella left his lips breathlessly, her face flushing. âIt will be hard for you to go to work and
back if we live in Hatchbay. The daily transit will take 4 hours.â
âI can just take the chopper. Since lan canât pilot that, I can do it. Thatâs not important, though. All I want
is for you to always be hap
Nothing mattered more than her happiness.
Bellaâs eyes welled up. She was touched by his words.
However, she got the feeling that something was still bothering him.
