Chapter 29

The next morning Nayeon woke up and saw Y/N sleeping next to her. Seeing Y/N brought a smile on her face. The CEO looks absolutely stunning even when sleeping.

"Y/N... Wake up." She shook the girl's shoulders.

"Hmm, what time is it?" Y/N groaned.

"It's 8 am."

"It's still early." Y/N said and went back to sleep. The only reason why Nayeon woke her up is because Y/N told her last night that she needs to go back home early.

"If you say so." Nayeon smiled and buried her face on Y/N's chest. Y/N absolutely loved this action of hers and decided to cuddle Nayeon tightly.

"I could do this all day." Y/N informed.

"Me too." Nayeon snuggled closer to her.

"Unfortunately, I need to go home now." Y/N sighed.

"When will you come back? Or when can I come back?"

"I'm not sure, I'll let you know. For now just stay here and if you need anything tell my driver, okay?" Y/N caressed Nayeon's hair. They cuddled for like 10 more minutes until Y/N decided that it's time for her to go.

"What are your plans for today?" Nayeon questioned.

"I'm going to meet up with some of your shareholders and I'm going to try to convince them to sell their shares to me. The first one on the list is Mr. Minatozaki since he has the most shares after your dad."

"Be careful, okay?" Nayeon adjusted Y/N's shirt.

"I will, Nayeon-ssi. Don't worry about me." Y/N kissed her forehead. "I need to go now. I'll call you later." And with that Y/N left the beach house and went back to Seoul.

The first thing she did was, just like how she told Nayeon, going to the company of the Minatozaki family.

"I'm here to see Mr. Minatozaki." She told his secretary.

"You can enter." The secretary told her and that's what she did.

"Welcome, Chou Y/N. It's been a while." He offered his hand for a hand shake which Y/N accepted.

"It really has been Mr. Minatozaki. How is your family doing?"

"They're doing great. How about yours? I haven't seen your dad ever since we came over for dinner." The man smiled and gestured for Y/N to sit.

"They're fine. Just the usual. Nothing new."

"So what brings you here? I know Chou Y/N wouldn't come to visit me without a reason."

"We're business partners, Mr. Minatozaki. It's natural for me to visit you." Y/N chuckled. "But you did guess it right. I'm here for something."

"I knew it. So what is it?"

"This." Y/N said simply and handed him some papers, which made him confused.

"What is this?" He asked as he looked through the papers.

"Where did you get this?" The man's tone changed into a very serious one.

"You know I always wondered how Sana managed to graduate from college. She never liked studying and from what I saw she barely studied anyways. I never would've thought that you bribed the professors to make her pass." She talked to the college and the professors and found out that Sana actually didn't pass. The papers that she handed Mr. Minatozaki were her real exam sheets and her real grades, which is proof that they bribed the professors into passing her.

"What do you want?"

"Not much. Just your shares in ImTech." Y/N stated and the man laughed.

"Why would I give them to you?"

"I'll pay for them of course. I'll even pay more than it's value. Buuuut, just imagine what would happen when this news comes out. You know Sana's life is over once this news comes out, right? I don't think you'd want that for your daughter."

"So you're threatening me?" The man raised his eyebrows.

"No, I wouldn't call it threatening. I'm just proposing a deal. Sell me all your shares in ImTech and I'll keep my mouth shut. I'll also make sure that this news never comes out. But if you don't agree then I'm afraid I won't be able to keep this to myself."

"I thought you and Sana were friends. She wouldn't be happy that you're planning on backstabbing her." He stated.

"I have no choice but to use her in this situation." Mrs. Minatozaki should consider herself lucky that Y/N didn't tell her husband about the affair that she's having with Mr. Im. Now that would've been a very good thing to threaten with but Y/N coulnd't bring herself to do it. She doesn't want to ruin Sana's family nor Nayeon's family, even though they're both toxic families.

"Why are you after ImTech's shares? Their stock prices are dropping." It doesn't make any sense to him.

"Exactly, so you don't need them anymore. They're only going to drop more, so you'll only lose money if you hold onto them but if you sell them to me, you'll have money and like I said I'll pay more than it's value."

"How can I trust you? How do I know that you'll keep your mouth shut?"

"Once you sell me the shares I'll destroy all the evidence. So even if people find out, they won't be able to prove it." Y/N informed and the man kept silent for a few minutes thinking about what to do.

"Fine, it's a deal then. But I want the evidence to be destroyed first. Then I'll sell you my shares." He stated. He doesn't want to go to jail for bribing professors and he also doesn't want Sana to live a difficult life because of that. Besides Y/N is right, he'll gain more from this if he sells them now, so that's what he decided to do.

"Of course, I'll keep my promise and destroy them." Y/N said and they continued to talk about the deal that they just closed.

"It's always nice doing business with you, Mr. Minatozaki. I'm glad we could have an agreement." Y/N finally stood up.

"Same goes to you, Ms. Chou." He smiled and with that Y/N left his office.

"What are you doing here?" Sana saw Y/N going out of her dad's office.

"I had a meeting with your dad."

"Why?" Sana furrowed her eyebrows. Yes, the two companies are business partners but Y/N has never come here before.

"We're business partners, Sana-ssi. Why are you so surprised?"

"You're planning something aren't you? I heard that Nayeon is nowhere to be found and rumors say that you're the one behind that."

Y/N chuckled upon hearing that. "What are you thinking? That I kidnapped her or something?"

"Well, I wouldn't be surprised." Sana said seriously.

"You know very well that I'm not like that. Nayeon left because she wanted to. She left for her safety."

"I see your mood changes entirely when I mention Nayeon. I noticed that the two of you got close, but I didn't think that Chou Y/N would actually let her in." Y/N lets no one in so yes it's a surprise that she and Nayeon got close.

"Whatever, Sana-ssi. I need to go now." Y/N ignored her statement and was about to walk away but Sana held her arm harshly stopping her from walking away.

"Nayeon can't have you. Do you understand that?" Sana glared intensely.

"Stop acting like a child. We were over a long time ago." Y/N pushed her away. She knows very well that Sana is only after her money and fortune. Sana doesn't like her that way yet she doesn't want anyone else to have Y/N. Especially not Nayeon.

Y/N spend all day talking to ImTech's shareholders and investors. She's doing very well right now. She noticed that a lot of people actually look up to her and that her name is quite big in this industry despite her being young.

After a long day she finally decided to go home.

"Tzuyu-yah. Where's everyone?" Y/N asked when she entered the living room but only Tzuyu was there.

"Chaeyoung is out and mom and dad are talking upstairs."

"Why didn't you go out?" The CEO questioned.

"You know very well that I don't like to go out."

"You should when you can." Y/N chuckled and messed up Tzuyu's hair which made Tzuyu hit her older sister with a pillow.

"You're talking as if you ever go out."

"You're right, I don't. I guess no one in this family likes to do social things." Y/N chuckled. Nor Tzuyu nor her parents like going out. The family is pretty antisocial.

"I'm going to mom and dad." Y/N smiled and left the living room. She went upstairs and heard voices coming from her parents' room. She was about to knock on the door but stopped once she heard her name.

"Mr. Minatozaki called me and told me that Y/N asked to sell his shares to her." Mr. Chou informed.

"Did he sell them?"

"Yes. I'm not sure how she managed to do that but he did. It isn't a small amount of shares that he has in ImTech. He has a lot and Y/N bought all of them." The man sighed.

"We need to stop her, honey. This is going too far." Mrs. Chou worried.

"How? There's no way Y/N will stop going after revenge, especially not when she finds out who her birth mother is." Her father stated and Y/N got confused. Birth mother?

"She can't find out. It'll make everything worse." The woman sighed and Y/N couldn't keep still anymore so she entered the room.

"What are you talking about?"

"Y-Y/N..." They both widened their eyes, hoping that Y/N didn't hear what they were talking about.

"Oh nothing, sweetie. We were just talking about what to do for Tzuyu's upcoming birthday." Mrs. Chou lied.

"I know you weren't talking about that. You said that I can't find out who my birth mother is." Y/N really hopes that she heard wrong.

"So you heard it?" Her father asked and Y/N nodded.

"Please tell me. What is it that I can't find out?"

"Y/N..."

"Please tell me!" She raised her voice. "You're my birth mother, right? You're the one that gave birth to me, not someone else, right?" She approached her mother, but the woman just kept quiet. Y/N can tell the answer by just looking at Mrs. Chou's teary eyes.

"Answer me, please." Y/N said weakly.

"I'm not, Y/N. I didn't give birth to you. I'm not your biological mother."

"W-what? You're joking, right? How is that even possible?" All her life she thought that Mrs. Chou was her biological mother, so this is quite shocking.

"I got married once before I married your mom. I had a child with that woman and that was you. However our marriage didn't work out, so I married your mom after I got divorced." Mr. Chou explained and Y/N's eyes are trembling.

"Then why did you never tell me about this? I can't believe this. You're not my real mother?" Y/N's tears finally fell.

"I-I'm sorry Y/N. Just know that I never treated you like someone else's, I always saw you like my own daughter and I still see you as my own daughter." The woman cried. Y/N and Mrs. Chou are very close. It's true that she always treated Y/N like her own daughter, the woman didn't see any difference between Y/N and Tzuyu. She always treated them the same.

"Your biological mother didn't want you to grow up with divorced parents so we hid it." Mr. Chou added.

"Who is she? Who's my birth mother? Do I know her?"

"You don't." He stated but Y/N can tell when people are lying and he's obviously lying.

"You're lying. Tell me who she is."

"It's..." Mrs. Chou started but got interrupted by Mr. Chou.

"Don't tell her." He shook his head.

"Please, tell me, please. Don't I deserve to know?" Y/N pleaded.

"It's Mrs. Park." The woman said as more tears fell. She's going to find out anyways, it's best to tell her now.

"Mrs. Park? Mrs. Park as in Jihyo's mother?" Y/N's heart fell hearing that name.

"Yes. She's your real mother, Y/N." Her father said. Y/N could feel the shivers down her spine. This can't be, right? It's just not possible.

Y/N stood there in silence for about a minute until she decided to run out of the room.

"Y/N!" Her mom yelled after her but Mr. Chou held her arm.

"Let her go. She needs some time to accept this."

"What if she does something? This is only going to make her want revenge even more!" The woman cried and Mr. Chou pulled her into a hug. He does regret not telling Y/N this, but it was what Mrs. Park wanted. She wanted Y/N to grow up thinking that Mrs. Chou was her real mother.

Y/N left her house and got into her car. She drove to somewhere where she can think in silence and that's the park. Y/N still can't believe this. How could they hide something like this from her? And why would they even do it?

She sat on a bench on the park and took out her phone. She opened her gallery and opened a picture of her with the Park family and broke down in tears. Luckily it's late and no one is at the park right now. Does this mean that Jihyo is her sister? Does this mean that she was the reason for the death of her own mother?

"I-I killed my mom..." She said weakly and cried even more. She started having flashbacks in her head from her moments with Mrs. Park. The woman cared about Y/N a lot and always helped her out with everything. Now Y/N gets why. She treated her the exact same like Jihyo and Y/N never questioned any of that because she just thought that that was how the woman was. She was caring towards everyone. This explains why they went there that day without telling Y/N. This explains why they wanted to save Y/N. Because she was her child...

"No, no. This is not true. I don't believe this. I'm not the cause of my birth mother's death. It can't be." Y/N stood up and went to her apartment. She can't go home right now. She can't face her parents when she's in a condition like this.
