Chapter 32

"Where's Nayeon?" Chaeyoung asked when Y/N came into the living room.

"She's getting ready."

"You two were a bit loud last night." Chaeyoung smirked and Y/N's eyes widened.

"Don't worry I'm the only one who heard it."

"Don't smirk like that." Y/N warned.

"How can I not? This is the first time in ages you finally like someone." Chaeyoung cheered.

"Who said I like her?"

"It's okay you can deny it, but I know my gut feeling is right." She patted her cousin's back.

"If you tell this to anyone, I'll kill you Chaeyoung-ah." Y/N warned.

"Don't worry, your secret is safe with me." The younger girl winked.

"Aish, so annoying." Y/N sighed to herself. "You hook up with like 3 people a week, do you see me making fun of you?"

"No, because you're used to it. I'm not used to seeing you with someone. Besides I stopped doing that."

"You stopped doing that? Why?" Y/N questioned.

"You know why." Chaeyoung said weakly. Of course it's because of Mina. Ever since she started to fall for Mina, she stopped hooking up with people.

"Aah, you're that whipped for her, huh?" Now it's Y/N's turn to tease.

"Shut up before I kill you. I don't care if you're my unnie."

"Violent much?" Tzuyu joined the conversation.

"I learned it from the best." Chaeyoung stated referring to Tzuyu.

"You look happy, unnie. Something happened?" Tzuyu asked her sister.

"Not yet, but I feel like today will be a good day."

"Girls, let's have breakfast." Mrs. Chou called them to the dining room.

"I'll get Nayeon." Y/N said and went to get the girl.

After breakfast Y/N and Nayeon got ready to go to work. Y/N will be dropping Nayeon off at the ImTech building and will then proceed to her own company.

"Are you sure you'll be fine?" Y/N asked once again.

"Yes, Y/N. I'll be fine."

"Do you want me to come with you?"

"No, it'll be way worse if you come with me. You're in more danger than I am." Nayeon caressed the CEO's arm.

"Okay, call me immediately if something happens okay?"

"I will, Y/N-ah. Stop worrying. Thanks for the ride." Nayeon smiled and left the car. She went into the company and all eyes were on her. She basically went missing for the past few days, so yes they were surprised to see her. She went to her dad's office in fear and was hoping for the best.

"We still can't find her, dad. I don't get it, where is Chou Y/N hiding her?" Jin asked his dad.

"That girl is really a pain in the ass." The man sighed.

"Should we call the police or something? I mean it's been days, this is basically kidnapping."

"No, son. It'll make everything just worse." He shook his head and right at that moment Nayeon entered the office.

"You don't have to call the police. I'm here." She said and both her father and Jin were surprised.

"Where the fuck were you?" Jin held her arm tightly.

"I don't owe you an explanation." She tried to free herself from his grip but with no success.

"Let her go, Jin." His father demanded and he did as he was told.

"Finally decided to show up, huh? Care to tell me the reason why you disappeared?" Mr. Im asked in a serious tone.

"I knew you would blame me for something that I didn't do so I was scared."

"You liar. You knew that Y/N was going to do that." Jin interrupted.

"No, I really didn't and I'm sure you know it as well." Of course they know, or else Nayeon would be dead right now.

"You also know that it isn't true. I'm sure you've seen the reports and numbers. The project is making a lot of profit, no loss at all." She added.

"Do you think our shareholders believe that? They're convinced that it's failing and it's Chou Y/N's words against ours." He approached his daughter.

"How does it feel to be backstabbed by the one and only Chou Y/N?" Jin asked.

"Mr. Im! Mr. Im! I have bad news." His secretary entered the room.

"What is it?"

"Mr. Minatozaki sold all of his shares."

"What? That's not possible. To whom?" Mr. Im worried.

"To Chou Y/N, sir. She has all his shares." The secretary looked down. Nayeon smirked hearing this. They're surely going to freak out.

"What?? That can't be true, right? Why would he sell his shares to her?" Jin yelled.

"We don't know the reason, but he did sell them to her."

"Are you sure this information is correct?" Nayeon's father asked.

"Yes and it's not all, Mr. Im. She apparently also bought the shares that we put on the market."

"What? Didn't I tell you to look at the buyers before selling them?!" He asked his son.

"I did! They were all different names, it's just not possible." He shook his head. Nayeon loves this scene. Now they'll know not to mess with her or with Y/N.

Mr. Im started to get very angry and like always he hit his desk, showing his anger.

"I'm going to kill that girl."

"You knew this right? Your expression tells me you do." Jin asked Nayeon.

"Maybe." She chuckled but before she could even say anything further, her father held her harshly.

"You knew and didn't tell us?" He asked in a very scary tone.

"Yes. Why would I? This is all part of our plan." She answered and the man pushed her harshly making her fall on the floor. Normally Nayeon would keep quiet but she can't anymore. She just can't.

"What will you be gaining from this, huh? Can't you see that that woman is using you??" Jin yelled.

"You both think that I'm incapable of becoming the next CEO, right? Well, watch me. I will be ImTech's CEO sooner than you think and that with Chou Y/N's help."

"You bitch, listen to me." The man grabbed his daughter from the ground and held her face with a lot of strength making it hard for Nayeon to breath. "You will never become the CEO. I will not allow that. Even if I die, you have no freaking chance. Do you understand that? So you better stop whatever you're doing right now or else it'll be very bad." He warned. Nayeon used all her strength and managed to push her father off of her.

"Like I said before, I don't care. I will show you that I can become the CEO no matter what you say."

"You're trusting Chou Y/N a bit too much. How can you trust her more than your family?" Jin asked.

"Family? You call yourselves family?? Is this what family is like? Abusing each other and acting like we're enemies??" Nayeon started to get mad as well. She finally realized how toxic her family is when she saw Y/N interacting with her family. Y/N's family is full of love and they treat each other very well, while Nayeon's family has none of that at all.

"We never acted like your enemies. You're the one that's backstabbing us right now!" Jin yelled.

"You left me no choice! Do you think I wanted this?? I just wanted a fair chance but you never gave that to me! If I had lost fairly then I would've accepted it, but I never even got the chance so what other choice do I have, huh?" Nayeon stated and got slapped in the face by her father making her cheek sting from the pain.

"I don't want to see you here again. Don't you dare coming back here or home. You're not my daughter anymore." He stated which made Nayeon's tears fall.

"You never treated me like one anyways." She cried and left his office.

"FUCK!" Mr. Im yelled and hit whatever he could in his office.

"Dad, dad please stop." Jin pleaded.

"Listen to me. You're becoming the CEO no matter what. You can't let her take that position away from you. Do you understand that?"

"Yes, father."

"Unnie? Are you okay?" Jeongyeon asked when she saw Nayeon crying in the hallways. Nayeon didn't answer and proceeded to walk but Jeongyeon held her arm stopping her.

"What happened? Why is your cheek red? Did he hit you again?" Jeongyeon examined her face.

"Let me go, Jeongyeon." Nayeon freed herself from her grip.

"Please, I just want to make sure you're okay."

"I'm not! I'm not okay, can't you see?! Don't act like you fucking care because I know you don't." Nayeon cried.

"I do..."

"You don't! You fucking backstabbed me! I know you're working for Jin." Nayeon said.

"I-I'm sorry. I had no choice." The manager looked down.

"You did have a choice and you chose to betray me. You know you were my only friend. You always made me smile and made me feel good about myself. You were the only that I told my secrets to but you just decided to betray me. Just like everyone else."

"They gave me no choice, please believe me."

"People warned me about you. I saw the signs, but I kept ignoring it because I trusted you. Hell, I was wrong." Nayeon stated.

"I admit I betrayed you but do you think I'm the only one that's going to do that? Look what kind of situation you're in right now because of Chou Y/N."

"Don't talk about her."

"Why not, huh? She's using you, Nayeon-ssi. She's going to betray you just like I did. I didn't have a choice, but she has."

"I said don't fucking talk about her." Nayeon warned her. Why does her father, brother and Jeongyeon keep telling her that Y/N is using her? Do they want to make Y/N look bad? Whatever it is, Nayeon doesn't believe them.

"You'll see it yourself." Jeongyeon said and walked away. Nayeon doesn't know where to go right now. She can't go home and she can't stay here either. The only one that comes to her mind is Y/N, so she called Momo and asked her to give her a ride to Chou Holdings.

Nayeon walked into Chou Holdings trying to hide her face from everyone since she doesn't want people to notice that she cried. She went to Y/N's office immediately. Y/N told her secretaries that if Nayeon comes she can enter right away, so when they saw Nayeon they immediately let her in.

"Nayeon?" Y/N asked when Nayeon suddenly barged into her office.

"Y/N..." She said weakly. Y/N stood up and approached the woman. Nayeon looks very vulnerable right now.

"What happened?" The CEO caressed her cheek.

"I can't fucking do this anymore." She started to cry and Y/N pulled her into a hug. Nayeon kept crying and Y/N comforted her while she rested her chin on Nayeon's head. Y/N is a bit taller and has the perfect height for her to be hugging Nayeon like this.

"It's okay, it's okay. Let it all out." Y/N's heart breaks seeing Nayeon like this.

"Did he hit you again?" Y/N asked when she pulled away from the hug. She can see that Nayeon's cheek is very red.

"Nayeon-ah, did he?" Y/N repeated her question when she got no answer. This time Nayeon nodded.

"I'm going to kill that man." Y/N is so angry right now, that she wants to go to ImTech and break that man's neck.

"What happened?" Y/N asked.

"He found out about the shares. We had an argument and then he basically told me that I'm not his daughter anymore and that I shouldn't come back home. Y/N, I have nowhere to go now." Nayeon started to cry again.

"Hey, look at me." Y/N held her arms. "You have me. You'll stay with me, okay? I'm not letting you go anywhere." She kissed Nayeon's forehead.

"Excuse me, I need to have a phone call." Nayeon said while she was having dinner with Y/N's family. She doesn't need to have a phone call, she just doesn't want Y/N's family to see her like this.

"Is everything okay? You both look down." Chaeyoung noticed.

"She's not okay. Her asshole of a father threw her out. This time for real."

"That's your fault. You realize that right?" Tzuyu asked. If it weren't for Y/N's plan, Nayeon never would've gotten thrown out.

"I know. But it's better for her this way anyways. Both her father and brother are abusing her. I'm actually glad they threw her out."

"So she's going to stay with us?" Mr. Chou asked.

"For now, if that's okay with you. Later on we'll move to my apartment or something." That is at least if Nayeon still wants to be around her after she executes her plan.

"That's okay with us, Y/N. Don't worry about it." Her mother assured her. "You know you can share with us whatever is on your mind, right? I know you're having a hard time right now and we're here to listen to you."

"Yeah unnie, are you starting to have doubts or something?" Tzuyu asked.

"No, it's just a bit too much right now. Jihyo called me today, but I couldn't let myself answer her call. It's like I completely froze. I don't know how I can face her after this."

"Are you planning on telling her?" Her father asked.

"I don't know. She has the right to know and I want to tell her, but I don't think I can." Y/N sighed.

"It's okay Y/N unnie, take your time." Chaeyoung smiled weakly.

"That's not the only thing bothering you, is it?" Tzuyu can see that there's something else. "Maybe it's about Nayeon?" Y/N kept silent for like 30 seconds until she finally decided to speak up.

"It just breaks my heart to see her like this. How can someone treat their family members like this? You know when we were at the beach, she told me that she never went to one. Her parents never allowed her to have fun as a child. She grew up in such a messed up environment." Y/N explained weakly.

"You care for her, don't you?" Mr. Chou asked and Y/N just nodded.

"A lot. I care about her a lot. In fact I'm pretty sure I like her." Y/N confessed.

"W-what?? Did you just finally admit it?" Chaeyoung smiled.

"Then what's the problem, honey? Just tell her, it's obvious she likes you too." Mrs. Chou questioned.

"The problem is that she'll hate me once I destroy ImTech. It's killing me that I'm using her to get revenge."

"Then don't. Change your plan. Don't destroy the company. Just make Nayeon the CEO and leave it at that. Don't you think that that will be enough for revenge? You already said it yourself, they don't want Nayeon as the CEO."

"No. They killed my mom, Tzuyu. Even if Nayeon becomes the CEO, they can still get that position back. While if I destroy the company, everything will be gone." Y/N doesn't want to hurt Nayeon, but she needs to do this for her own, for Jihyo, for her mother and for Mr. Park.

"It's the first time you fell in love yet you're going to give it up for revenge?" Mr. Chou asked. Yes he wants the Im family to suffer as well, but above all of that he wants Y/N to be happy.

"I'm not going to give up on her. I'm going to take care of her till the very end and I will fight for her. It just sucks that I fell for the daughter of my mom's murderer." Y/N looked down and silence followed afterwards. No one knows what to say. The situation is pretty messed up right now. If Nayeon wasn't a member of the Im family, everything would've been much easier but life isn't easy and sometimes you fall in love with the most unexpected person, that being the daughter of her biggest enemy.
