Dylan abstained from alcohol, so he quickly finished his pasta.
Abel glanced at his watch; it was 7:30PM, so the trio navigated through the bustling crowd and reached the parking lot. However, they could hear a commotion as if a light was taking place, and it was happening. right where Abel had parked his car.
âWait here, guys,â Abel told Dylan and Alana. âTâll go over and check it out first.â
Dylan advised, âBe careful and donât get involved. Your car getting scratched is a minor issue, and your safety is more important!â
âThank you for the reminder, Mr. Carson. Abel smiled. âIâll keep that in mind.â
But what if he had to fight? Will he be able to handle three or five people?
When he reached his car, he witnessed two men fighting, though it seemed unrelated to his vehicle.
Abel was about to intervene and try to stop the fight when he suddenly recognized that one of the shirtless men fighting was Diesel.
How did he always end up in these situations?
The two men continued to fight while a glamorously dressed woman stood nearby in a tightâfitting sleeveless maxi dress and shouted, âStop fighting! This is so annoying!â
It appeared that the two men were fighting over her. Abel lit a cigarette and leaned against the front of his car, squinting as he observed the scene. Just then, Alana arrived.
âWhatâs happening with them?â Alana asked softly.
Abel waved his hand, signaling her not to ask too many questions. He then opened the back door of the car and told Alana, âStay in the car!â
Alana understood Abelâs intentionâhe was concerned that she might accidentally get hurt if she remained in the midst of the fight. A strong sense of security filled Alanaâs heart as she obediently sat in the car. She suddenly understood why Abel always protected Emmeline so meticulously, and her heart felt both bitter and resentful.
After a few rounds of fighting, Diesel gained the upper hand, and the other man covered his face and lay on the ground.
Diesel spat and pointed at the man on the ground, cursing. âYou donât have the guts, so donât bother me! Your girlfriend is just a promiscuous woman who has set her eyes on me. What can you do about it? Iâm wealthier and stronger than you, so if you donât accept it, tough luck! If you dare, get up and fight me again!â
The man on the ground struggled to stand up and attempted to charge at Diesel, but the glamorously dressed woman tightly embraced him around the waist and pleaded, âThatâs enough! Stop fighting, and letâs go home together!â
The man broke free from the womanâs bare arms and slapped her twice loudly. âSophia, you deceitful woman! You lied to me about working overtime at the office while you were actually fooling around with this scoundrel! You didnât expect me to come here, did you? I caught you with your lover, didnât I?â
Sophia covered her face and angrily retorted, âYouâre no better! I must have been blind when I got together with you! You can neglect your family and not care about them, but Iâm not allowed to have some fun?â
Filled with anger and shame, the man lunged forward to hit her again, but Abel grabbed his arm.
âThatâs enough; sheâs just a woman!â
The man turned around aggressively. âWho are you?â
Abel turned his head. âWell, the car owner. A scratch will cost about one or two thousand!â
The man muttered something under his breath and shook off Abelâs hand, but then Abel said, âThat guy ran away.â
Only then did the man notice that Diesel had vanished into the crowd, and the man spat out a mouthful of blood and pointed fiercely at Sophia. Just you wait. Iâll make you regret it!â
Sophia sat down on the ground. Abel was about to call Dylan to get in the car, but when he turned around, he couldnât find Dylan.
Where did he go?
Abel took out his phone and dialed Dylanâs number. âWhere are you, Mr. Carson?â
âSorry,â Dylan said. âI saw them fighting and using foul language, so I hid somewhere. Iâm wandering around here, but I canât find my way back. Can you help me?â
Abel chuckled, âWhere are you? Tell me about the buildings around you.â
Dylan looked around. Thereâs a beautiful house.
Abel replied. âStay there and donât move. Iâll come find you.â
After ending the call, Abel briskly walked toward the beautiful house while Alana exited the car and approached Sophia, who was sitting in front of it. âBoth of them have left. You should get up!â
Sophia quickly stood up and looked at Alana. âWhat is your relationship with Emmeline?â
