Livianaâs POV
Luis Grey was the one who plotted against my father.
Luis Grey is the reason why my father was captured.
Luis Grey is the reason why my mother is not around.
Luis Grey almost killed me.
Luis Grey couldâve killed my son inside of me back then.
Luis Grey killed my mateâs mother.
âYou fcking monster!â I growled as I reached Luis Grey.
I held him by the neck while my hands were on fire.
His eyes widened in shock and fear as he looked at me.
My hand burned his skin as he screamed in pain.
âLiviana!â Rainer shouted and rushed to my side.
He pulled me off of Luis Grey by the waist.
âAHHHHH! Let me go!â I screamed.
My body was burning up and my hands remained lit up.
Then, the ground suddenly shook beneath our feet and a strong wind circulated around the room.
âLiviana!â Rainer said again.
He forcibly made me face him.
My chest heaved up and down in anger.
Rainer held me by the waist with one arm and the other held me face.
âLook at meâ he said.
I couldnât focus.
âLivianaâ he called again.
I was close to losing it.
âHeyâ Rainer called softly as he lightly tapped my face.
I looked at him.
Rainer gave me a small smile.
âBreatheâ he said softly.
I gulped as I took a deep calming breath.
âThatâs it. Breatheâ he said looking into my eyes.
I took deep calming breaths and I was able to focus on my energy again.
The fire in my hand dissipated and my eyes turned back to its normal blue.
âGood girlâ he said and brushed his thumb on my cheek with a smile.
I sighed as I placed my forehead on Rainerâs chest.
I closed my eyes.
I need to keep my feelings intact.
Ghad.
I raised my head again and realized the situation as Rainer let me go.
Everyone from Lunar looked at me in shock and fear while my men remained still.
Then, my eyes met with Luanâs.
He was being restrained by 6 of my men.
He looked at me wide eyed.
Thatâs when I realized that he just found out who I actually was.
I gulped.
âLivianaâ he muttered and tried to go to me but my men stopped him.
He struggled to get out of their hold.
âLiviana!â he shouted as he tried to get out from my men.
I bit my lower l*p as I looked away.
âLet me go! Liviana!â he shouted.
âLiviana! Pleaseâ he said and I looked at him again.
I saw as his eyes watered as he struggled to go to me.
My heart ached for him.
I clenched my fists as I turned my back on Luan.
âLiviana!â he screamed again.
I felt like crying.
He was so close yet so far.
I wanted to hold him but couldnât.
I feared that Iâd hurt him.
I feared that Iâll lose control over again.
My emotions were all over the place and I didnât want to go near Luan because my emotions are easily triggered in this situation.
My jaw clenched as my eyes returned to its bright gold.
I glanced at the direction of Luis Grey.
He had a burn on his neck that was slowly healing while my men restrained him.
âLetâs have a duelâ I said.
âA fight to the deathâ I added.
Luis Grey looked at me as he gulped and his jaw clenched.
I moved my hands and water came out of nowhere and went to his burned neck healing him.
âLet him goâ I told my men.
They did as they were told.
Luis Grey touched his neck and his eyes widened when he realized that his burn completely healed.
âA duel in our human formâ I said.
Luis Grey smirked at me.
âArenât you being too confident? Or is it because you know you can use whatever tricks that you have against meâ he said and pointed at me.
I raised a brow at him.
âI wouldnât waste my energy in using my abilities in a mere duel with you. I can take you down with my eyes closedâ I said.
Luis Grey chuckled.
âHow can a mere she-wolf go against me and win?â he said smugly.
I chuckled in disbelief.
âYou irk meâ I said.
âYouâre all wordsâ I added.
Luis Grey frowned at me.
Then, he made his way towards me.
My men remained cautious of him as they eyed him.
They were ready to make their move to protect if ever something happened.
As soon as Luis Grey was close enough, I glanced at my men.
âMove back and form a circleâ I told them.
My men did as they were told.
As soon as they were out of the way, a circle of fire was made around us in the middle.
âA battle to the death. No one from out of the circle can stop us until someone is either dead or barely aliveâ I said.
A smile formed on Luis Greyâs lips.
âAnd how can you assure me that none of your men will get in the way?â he said.
I glanced at my men.
âIâm sure theyâll enjoy the show so they wouldnât bother getting involvedâ I said with a shrug.
Luis Grey furrowed his brows at me.
I eyed him.
We started to circle each other.
âLiviana!â I heard Luanâs voice.
I couldnât turn to look at him while I was basically aiming to kill his father in front of him.
What was I doing?
This wasnât part of the plan.
Still, I feel like I needed to do this.
Suddenly, Luis Grey started to attack me.
I easily dodged him.
He executed his attacks one after another.
He wasnât as strong as I thought.
He really was all words.
Tsk.
Luis Grey growled at me in anger when he couldnât land a single attack on me.
âArenât you trying to hard?â I said and faked a yawn.
Luis Grey glared at me.
âMy turnâ I said.
My feet quickly moved and before he knew it, I was behind him.
I locked his neck in my arms as I chocked him.
Luis Grey tried to pry my arms away from him as he struggled to breathe.
He failed.
âHow embarrassing it must be to you to be strangled by âa mere she-wolfâ like myselfâ I mocked and let him go with a push.
Luis Grey gasped for air as he held his neck.
I circled him.
âDo you know how much I want to kill you right now?â I said.
He looked up to me and gave me a look.
I stopped in front of him.
âI know what you did. I know everything you did, you bastrdâ I said in gritted teeth.
âI know that youâre the reason why I lost my parentsâ I started.
I clenched my fists.
âI know that you kept my fathers in captivity so you can keep the throne for yourselfâ I continued.
My heart was beating rapidly in anger.
âI know that you killed your own wife, your sonâs mother to hide everything that you were doingâ I added.
My jaw clenched.
âAnd you tried to kill me when you found out who I actually was. Even when you knew that I was your sonâs mateâ I said.
I bit my lower l*p.
âBut you failedâ I said as I raised my head high as a smirk graced my lips.
Luis Grey looked at me with jaw clenched and furrowed brows.
âDid you think it would be that easy to kill me?â I said as I stepped closer to him.
âDid you think that youâd be able to get rid of me as easily like you did with your wife and my mother?â I said and I aggressively pulled Luis Grey by the collar and held him by the neck.
âDid you think Iâd give up that easily?â I said tightening my grip and lifting him up.
Luos Grey held my wrist as he struggled at my hold.
âYou shouldâve at least made sure that I was actually deadâ I said.
I watch as the color from his face faded as he ran out of oxygen.
âYou shouldâve made sure that I wouldnât come backâ I said.
As soon as he stopped struggling, I let him go and threw him.
âI decided that Iâm not going to kill you right now. Iâm going to make you suffer longerâ I said.
âYou donât deserve an easy deathâ I added and turned around to get out of the circle.
But thenâ¦
âLiviana!â
It was as if everything turned into slow motion.
I turned and saw a familiar back and a shocked expression on Luis Greyâs face.
Then, the smell of b***d hit my nose.
Someone pulled me away and I watched as Luis Grey fell to the ground in one knee as he bled.
I looked at the man whose back was facing me.
âLuanâ¦â I muttered.
It was Luan.
He was holding a bloody sword.
âWhy did you do it?â I heard him say.
I couldnât see his face.
But I could hear the pain in his voice.
âWhy?â he said again.
Luis Grey fell on his side.
Luan fell on his knees and I heard his quiet sobs.
No.
Luan.
