Liviana’s POV

“You okay, love” Luan asked softly as he reached out to hold my hand.

I gave him a small smile.

“Of course” I said and he kissed my hand making me smile.

We’re currently on our way home.

Fortunately, the breakfast meet up was canceled due to the King’s sudden schedule.

Luckily for me, I don’t have to see him again for the mean time.

I snuggled into Luan’s chest and napped the rest of the ride.

After a while, we reached the pack house and Luan woke me up with k****s on my face.

I chuckled as I pushed his face away from mine.

“You guys should just get a room or something” Abe complained again.

I laughed while Luan just ignored him.

Luan and I got out of the car and got our stuff while the Haymes siblings went back to their place.

We intertwined our hands as we walked inside of the pack house.

“Livi!” Ellie squealed as she ran up to me.

I let go of Luan’s hand as I caught Ellie in my arms and spun her around.

Ellie giggled as she hugged me.

“I missed you” Ellie said sweetly. I smiled.

“I missed you more, little one” I said as I booped the tip of her nose with mine.

Ellie gave me a k**s on the cheek as she hugged me by the neck.

“What about me?” Luan said and we turned to look at him.

Ellie giggled as she leaned forward to him and gave him a k**s on the cheek.

“Thanks, Ellie” Luan smile and slightly pinched her cheeks.

Theresa came out of the kitchen and saw us.

“You guys are back” she said as she approached us with a smile.

“Have you guys ate yet?” Theresa asked and we nodded.

“I’ll go and prepare something for the both of you before you go up ang rest” Theresa said we nodded.

“Thank you” I said and Theresa smiled as she went back to the kitchen.

We sat down the living room with Ellie playing on my lap.

Then, Edmond came in.

He turned to look at us and bowed his head.

“You’re back” he said.

“How’s the pack?” I asked.

“The pack is just as you left it, Alpha” he told me. I nodded.

“Good” I said.

“By the way, where’s my uncle? I need to talk to him about something” I asked.

“I’m not sure, Alpha. He left really early in the morning today. He said he needed to do something important” Edmond said.

My brows furrowed curiously.

“Do you know where he went?” I asked.

Edmond shook his head.

“He didn’t tell me. He just said he’d be leaving and would probably come back in the afternoon since he was expecting you to come back just then” he told me.

I sighed and nodded.

Edmond left againand Theresa came with our food.

“What were you going to talk about with your uncle?” Luan asked curiously.

“Just some pack stuff. I’m planning on improving and changing training and I wanted him to help Alex with it” I lied.

That wasn’t the main reason.

Luan nodded.

“Why are you suddenly changing your pack members’ training?” he asked again.

“I want them to be prepared for anything and everything. We’ve recently been targeted by so many people and I don’t want them to be in danger”I told him

It wasn’t exactly a lie.

I did want to prepare my people for anything and everything that might happen.

“Well, your pack is the strongest in the territory after all. And it keeps growing and improving as you lead them” Luan said proudly.

I chuckled.

He sounded like a proud parent than a proud boyfriend.

We finished up eating and gave back Ellie to her mom.

Then, we went upstairs and fixed our stuff before cuddling into bed together.

Traveling was extremely exhausting.

It’s exactly why I don’t go anywhere far from the pack house.

“How are you feeling?” Luan suddenly asked as he caressed my hair.

“I’m okay for now. But until you actually tell me what happened, I won’t feel at ease” I told him.

Luan sighed.

“I love you and I’d trust you with anything and everything including my own life. But I don’t want you to get involved with something that involves my father. He’s… more than just wha meets the eye” he said.

My brows furrowed.

Does that mean that Luan knows what his father has done? Or atleast what he’s done in the past?

“Anyway, I was thinking about it. What do you want to name our first child if it was a boy?” be changed the topic.

I lifted my head up as I looked at him wide eyed.

“What?” he asked innocently.

I squinted my eyes at him.

“I mean we have to think of a name for the little one, don’t we?” he said.

I stared at him baffled.

“How are you even so sure that we’ll have a child so soon?” I said with my brows furrowed in disbelief.

“Well, we’ve done it twice without protection. Do you think we’ll have twins?” he asked.

My jaw almost dropped to the floor.

We’ve done it twice without protection.

We’ve done it TWICE WITHOUT PROTECTION.

It was sinking into me now.

How could I forget? AGAIN.

How can I not have thought of protection?

My libido was off the the roof last night.

But how was I able to forget something so important?

“If it’s a boy, don’t you think Luan Jr. would be cute?” Luan voiced out.

I looked at him baffled.

“You….you jerk! How can you let us do it without protection again?! What if I really do get pregnant?! Do you want me to walk around school with a big stomach?! Do you expect me to stop going to school?! Are you crazy?! How can you talk about this like it’s so easy?! Are you the one who’s going to carry the child?! Are you the one who’s going to give birth?! How am I supposed to fight off rogues with a bulging stomach?! How am I supposed to train with a living being inside of me?!” I ranted as I hit Luan on the chest.

Luan burst out laughing as he held and stopped my arms.

I glared at him.

“Calm down, baby. You sound like I ruined your life” Luan chuckled as he pulled me to his chest and hugged me.

“You b*st*rd. Do you even realize how complicated it is to have a child right now with everything that’s happening?” I said with a frown.

“Of course. But don’t you remember? Babies are blessings” he said and I looked at him in displeasure.

Luan chuckled as he caressed my head and planted a kisa on my forehead.

“Don’t worry. It’s not like I’m not here for you, right? Whatever happens, I’m here with you. Always” he assured me.

I sighed as I snuggled into him and we laid down in bed again.

We both ended up falling asleep.

I don’t know how long we slept but I was the first one to wake up.

I carefully pulled away from Luan while he was sleeping and got out of bed.

I went to the bathroom and washed my face then headed towards the door.

As soon as I opened it, I saw my uncle.

“Hey” he greeted with a smile and pulled me into a hug.

I hugged him back.

Then, he started to check me uo and down and front and back.

I chuckled.

“I’m fine, uncle. I’m completely unharmed” I said with a chuckle.

Dante sighed in relief.

“But we do need to talk about something” I said seriously.

Dante’s eyebrow furrowed curiously.

I motioned him to follow me to my office.

We went inside my office and I shut the door.

“Sit down” I said and pointed at my swivel chair.

Dante looked at me with an eyebrow raised.

“What’s with the serious expression? Did something happen?” he asked.

I sighed.

“Yes. Now, sit down” I demanded.

Dante sighed and sat down my swivel chair.

I put both my hands on the table as I stood in front of my uncle.

“I have a few questions and I want you to answer me honestly. I want a short and exact answer. You can explain to me later but for now, answer my question clearly” I said.

Dante looked at me curiously.

I took a deep breath.

“My fathers are alive, correct?” I started.

Dante nodded.

“Yes. The last time I saw them, they were” he answered.

I nodded.

“Do you know who captured them?” I asked again.

Dante froze and his jaw clenched.

“I’m not sure. I have a clue but I haven’t confirmed it yet” he said with a sigh.

I nodded in understanding.

I bit my lower l*p as I took another deep breath.

“Is it King Luis Grey?” I asked.

Dante looked at me in shock.

“H-how did you…” he stuttered.

I looked down on the table as I closed my eyes tightly.

So it really is him.

“Liviana, how did you know that?” Dante asked as he stood up and went beside me.

“I saw them” I said as I looked at Dante.

“I saw Pa and King Kale, my biological father. They were inside the palace. They were secretly hidden in an underground dungeon” I said as my knees weakened but I gripped on the table tightly.

“Inside the palace?” he asked with brows furrowed.

I nodded.

“That means they moved them” he stated and I looked at him confused.

“When I went to see them, I was almost caught. Maybe they moved them to somewhere more secure” he explained.

That’s probably why he couldn’t confirm if it was King Luis yet.

But now that they’re really in the palace premises, it’s impossible that he doesn’t have anything to do with this.

“Did anyone see you?” Dante asked worried.

I shook my head.

“Only Pa and King Kale did. The other guards they….they forgot” I said.

Dante looked at me confused.

“The moon goddess helped me” I said as I raised my hand.

Then, Dante stood their in silence.

“It really is King Luis Grey” I said as I clenched my fists.
