Chapter 1141:

Fabian’s interest was clearly piqued. “‘Do go on.’”

Allison exchanged a quick glance with Kellan before continuing her explanation.

“‘Charisma Company aims to create something akin to the Aröme Tower in Ontdale, but we’re currently short on talented perfumers to bring it to life.’”

Her true aim, of course, was far more personal — to uncover clues about her mother’s disappearance.

She continued after a brief pause, “‘That’s precisely why we’re hoping to collaborate with Dibya Group to train a team of world-class perfumers.’”

“‘That does sound intriguing.’” Fabian’s interest was immediately captivated. “‘Even as the owner of the Aröme Tower, I’ve observed that the more gifted a perfumer is, the more reluctant they are to share their craft.’”

Fabian locked his gaze firmly on hers. “‘Ms. Clarke, if your goal is to nurture top-tier perfumers, does that mean you’re prepared to share your own formulas?’”

Allison wasn’t fazed by the question in the slightest.

“‘Formulas are nothing more than the end product. I firmly believe in teaching them the art of crafting their own formulas,’” she responded with unwavering calm. “‘My goal is to shape them into the finest perfumers in the industry.’”

“‘I’ll give it some serious thought.’” Fabian gave an intrigued nod. “‘I’ll provide you with an answer once the meeting concludes.’”

He cast a glance at his secretary, who promptly began jotting notes in his notebook.

“‘Since tonight is a birthday banquet, let’s save the finer details for another time,’” Fabian remarked, lifting his glass in a toast to Allison. “‘But allow me to toast in advance to what I’m sure will be a successful partnership.’”

Allison lifted her glass and toasted, saying, “Here’s to a successful partnership.”

She felt comfortable and connected when she spoke with Fabian. He had a calm, wise presence that made him feel like a mentor.

The others watched in shock.

“Wait, did I hear that correctly? The deal is done!”

It was obvious that Kellan and Allison had locked down the investment partnership.

Actually, it wasn’t much of a shock.

Allison had made a strong impression on everyone. Any company would want to have someone as brilliant as her.

“That bitch, she really pulled it off,” Hoyt muttered. Standing nearby, he had heard every word. A wave of anger flooded his chest.

He had expected Kellan to focus on securing investments for the Lloyd Group. But now, it looked like Kellan was only out for himself!

As he thought this, Hoyt’s lips curled into a bitter sneer.

He shot a venomous glare at both Allison and Kellan.

“‘I’m curious to see how you’ll explain this to Dad when you get back!’” he spat.

The party soon grew livelier.

In a quiet spot, Colton, already drunk, sipped from a glass of strong whiskey. “Why does this stuff taste so bitter?” he muttered. With a bitter laugh, he tossed in some ice and drank it all in one go. It was clear to everyone that he was trying to drown his problems in alcohol.
