Chapter 853:
âTechnically, itâs owned by Mayor Onett,â he added with a calm tone.
âMy friends ran into some trouble over there,â she said firmly.
Allison didnât take her eyes off the vessel as she spoke. âI need your help getting them off that cruise ship and onto the Galaxy.â
Her words hung in the air, making the assistants in the room shift uncomfortably.
âMr. Vargas, isnât that the cruise ship hosting Mayor Onett tomorrow?â
Kylo nodded slightly. âYes, and weâre only docked here because of the mayorâs approval.â
âGetting involved tonight could upset a lot of powerful people, including the mayor. Itâs a dangerous move,â another assistant warned.
They had a valid point, and Allison didnât try to argue. âIf youâre not going to help, thatâs fine,â she said. âIâll consider your promise void.â
Kylo gave a soft laugh. âMs. Clarke, it looks like youâre in a bit of a bind,â he remarked, eyeing her with interest. âBut Iâm a man of my word. Iâll keep my promise.â
The others in the room exchanged uneasy looks but stayed quiet. No one dared challenge Kyloâs decisions.
âCan you reach your friends now?â Kylo asked.

âI can.â
âGood,â he said.
Kylo reached for a remote on his desk and pressed a button. A soft beep followed, and a stone wall slid open, revealing a glass window that gave a view of the deck below. The scene was buzzing with life â guests clustered around the gambling tables, while others partied by the pool. Everyone was caught up in the excitement.
But Allisonâs attention was focused beyond the deck, on the outline of Immortality Pharmaceuticalsâ cruise ship. From where she stood on the Galaxy, she had a perfect view of the smaller vessel.
âI can hide your friends here,â Kylo said, âbut theyâll have to board the cruise ship themselves.â
âWhat do you mean?â Allison asked, confused.
âI canât risk revealing my position,â Kylo explained. âIâll send a dozen men to help. But Iâll also have a team stationed underwater as backup.â His voice was steady, and his smile courteous, but the threat in his words was clear â violence seemed inevitable.
Allison glanced out the window and gave a small nod. âAlright, thank you, Mr. Vargas.â
While Kylo gave instructions to his men, Allison dialed Kellanâs number.
âIâve spoken with Mr. Vargas. Head straight to the Galaxy,â she said, quickly updating him on the situation.
