Chapter 880:
With a swift motion, Allison pulled all the blinds down.
Before long, Lena walked in, her steps full of arrogance. âAlice, are you trying to steal something while Mr. Shaw is out?â she asked, not missing a beat. âWhy else would you suddenly close the blinds?â
Allison flashed a confident smile. âIâm just having some fun, Miss Perkins. Do you need something?â she asked casually.
Lena gave her a look of contempt. âThis is a lab, not a playground! Be serious,â she snapped.
Allison feigned innocence. âBut Verruckt said it was fine. If you donât believe me, you can ask him.â
âYou!â Lena was furious once again.
For a brief moment, she thought about calling Verruckt. But she knew today was different.
She didnât want to bother him over something so trivial.
Allison shrugged and lifted the blinds back up.
âAlright, I donât want to argue. Is this better?â she said.
gαâηÏνððsï¼Ã§Ð¾m takes you away
Lena smirked. âNow thatâs more like it!â
With that, she stormed off, her heels clicking sharply on the floor.
Allison watched Lena walk away, lost in thought for a moment.
Then, she silently reached out to Kellan.
âGet ready to move the test subject, Lilian, based on the location Amya gave you.â
âUnderstood,â Kellan answered. âBe careful.â
His voice held a note of trust, knowing that if Allison hadnât found a way to slip away unnoticed, she wouldnât have made such a request.
Everything would depend on what happened today.
Take You Home
Five minutes later, Allison headed down to the basement level one, where the cleaning supply room was located. She swapped her regular clothes for a snug, combat-ready outfit and crammed a lab coat into her backpack. âFinally, almost time to get off work,â she muttered, exaggerating her words while listening intently for any noises outside.
Her backpack wasnât just for show. It held the serum and the weapons she had carefully secured earlier.
With everything ready, Allison walked openly back to Verrucktâs office, making no effort to hide herself.
âLooks like Mr. Shaw still isnât back,â she commented as she pulled the blinds shut again.
Roughly ten minutes passed before Lena barged in once more, her eyes darting around as if she expected to catch Allison red-handed.
âAlice, what are you scheming now?â she demanded.
