Chapter 971:
She then glanced at the manâs raised gun.
âLower your weapons, and Iâll hand over the box with the key. But it needs a password to open,â she continued. âAfter all, if thereâs an accidental shot, no one will get it.â
The tall man squinted, studying Allison closely.
âDonât try anything,â he warned.
âOf course not,â Allison replied with feigned innocence. âAs you can see, weâre unarmed, and itâs just the two of us. Surely, youâre not scared of that?â
The tall man sneered in response.
âThatâs true. Even if you tried to run, you wouldnât get far,â he said.
He quickly gave his men an order.
âLower your guns and let her bring the box.â
âUnderstood, sir,â one of the men responded.
After the incidents on the Burned Islands and in Fleeingland, many Mafia members had been killed, forcing them to purge their ranks and bring in new people.
The tall man was one of those new recruits. Though he was careful, he still didnât take women seriously.

Allison took slow, steady steps toward them.
As she got closer to the tall man, she reached into her pocket.
âDidnât your boss warn you to be careful around me?â she asked.
The man hesitated, recalling that Daniel had indeed warned him about her. But he didnât believe this woman could cause trouble with so many of them around.
He then ordered, âEnough talk, just hand it overââ
Before he could finish, Allison was already in front of him, moving faster than he could react.
A silver dagger gleamed as it sank into his neck. With a wet, squelching noise, blood sprayed out.
She quickly grabbed the gun from his waist.
âThis is where it ends for all of you,â she said coldly.
âShe killed the captain!â
âQuick, kill that woman!â
It wasnât until then that the mafia members realized that Allisonâs pocket didnât hold the key. Instead, it contained a finely crafted, razor-sharp dagger. But after the tall man gasped his last breath, Allison grabbed his gun and turned the tide, taking down several more.
She wasnât the only one, though. The man who had come with her, who had seemed ordinary at first, was just as merciless once the fight began.
âAllison, Iâll take care of the two in the southeast.â
