"Are you stalking me?" the girl asked in such a voice that wasn't harmful

Her voice filling the entire cafe when they pushed through the speakers that were still connected to the microphone

Unphased by any of it all, Ember controlled herself from being flushed from embarrassment

Especially since all eyes were on the girl, they turned to face her since the singer's eyes focused on her

"Now why would you think that?" Ember smirked

"So you're not denying it?"

"I never agreed to it either sweetheart" Ember raised a brow

"OooooOoo" the few people in the cafe cooed causing the singer to giggle

"I guess I'll never find out" She said

"Or you could if you just came over here" Ember smirked, raising her brow

A few customers widened their eyes as they looked back and forth between the two girls, awaiting the singer's response

"You really think you're so smooth" The singer chuckled

"I might be, come find out" Ember shot back making the blonde tilt her head back in laughter

"Oh man, you're something else" Gabrielle shook her head smiling

But the second she glanced back at the brunette, she flashed a smile. A smile so gently and soft that it was enough to match a warm hug from a lover after a hard day away from each other. And her eyes, God her eyes matched the earthy brown when the honey sun pressed down onto it. They stared into green orbs, those that resembled the green leaves that fell onto those earthy coloured eyes, making the perfect circle of nature. Green grows until it falls to brown, over and over again

"So... Are you going to accept my offer?" Ember questioned

All heads snapped back towards the singer, curious to know what her reply was

But with all eyes on her, the blonde didn't glance at anyone else. Her attention was just full on the brunette who leaned back in her chair with a teasing smirk on her face

A small pink blush seemed to make its way onto Gabrielle's cheeks as she chuckled softly

"Chocolate" she said

"Chocolate?" Ember questioned

"I don't like dark coffee, I prefer my taste to be... Hmm, sweet" Gabrielle said as she started to tear down her mic set up

Ember's eyes widened for a second when she realized that the girl had accepted

"Yesss" a few screams filled the cafe, showing their excitement

Ember didn't hesitate to dash over towards the counter, getting ready to mark down the girl's order

But someone had already beat her to the punch

"It's on us" the barrister chuckled softly, handing the brunette two hot cups of chocolate

It was obvious that everyone inside that room was interested in their stories and excited for where it was leading

"Thanks" Ember laughed, taking the two cups and heading back over towards the booth by the window

Her eyes couldn't help but fall over the girl's body, the blonde slung her guitar strap over her chest, leaving her bright wooden guitar to rest on her back. Her fingers passed through her short blonde hair, flipping it over to the side as she glanced into the direction of Ember

The brunette had to contain her smile when their eyes met again. Something inside her started, as if it was a kick start to her heart that had been placed in the corner for so long, collecting dust

Her gears were turning and it was all because of the blonde who gave her a simple smile

"Hi" Ember whispered as the girl slipped into the booth

"Hi" the blonde giggled

"Let me just start off by saying I'm really, really sorry about yesterday. I didn't mean to come off too forward, or anything for that matter"

"That's okay, I thought it was... Interesting" The blonde said

"All I can ask for is a clean start, if that's okay?" Ember questioned

"Will you still hit on me?" The singer asked

"I.... I can't not flirt with you" Ember said

"And why's that?"

"Because I'm trying to make you my future" Ember said lowly

"What was that?" The blonde asked

"Oh, nothing" Ember chuckled

"What's your name?" she asked

"Ember"

"Hi, I'm Gabrielle" The blonde said, extending her hand towards the brunette

Ember said a brow but accepted her hand either way. Yet at the slight touch of her skin, there was a small tingle that rose through her body. Ember furrowed her brows at the small shocking sensation travelling up her body but she ignored it

"So does this mean I'm forgiven?" she asked

"We'll see" Gabrielle smiled

There was just something about the way she looked that morning that made Ember fall yet into another trance

Alluringly, she would blink her eyes from time to time, allowing her eyelashes to flutter like the wings of a butterfly. My god, her eyes were simply spellbinding

Her left eye was a rapturous shade of hazel-auburn. Each one held a coruscate gleam that enhanced their beauty

The woman looked up from her morning cup of coffee. She had a warm sunburn colour hair and pale white skin which made her beautiful pink lips stand out. Her cheeks were always stained pink and she was dressed in a pair of black skinny jeans and a grey band shirt

"So where are you from?"

"Right around here actually, my parents grew up just right outside the park so I call it my second home"

"You go to the park often now?"

"Everyday actually, I haven't seen you there before" she said

"That's... Because... I never leave my apartment" Ember chuckled

"Apartment. You work?"

"College student actually"

"Oh really, what's your major?"

"....I have a feeling you won't like it" Ember chuckled

"Oh come on, I'm sure it's nothing bad. Unless it's business... Then ew" Gabrielle playfully rolled her eyes

Ember narrowed her eyes as she tried to fight her burning blush on her face

"Oh my God. Seriously!"

"Yess, I'm sorry but I do business" Ember chuckled

"I truly did not expect that" The blonde said, bringing her cup to her lips

"Why's that?"

"There's just.. Something about you, it doesn't give off 'I wanna be an accountant working for middle aged men who smoke Cuban cigars' for a living"

"That.... Was oddly specific, are you okay?" Ember snickered

"Yes I am. Sorry" the girl chuckled

"I just... My parents used to study business at my age, they worked themselves down to the bone until they burned out. But they were proud,  proud of never giving up. So now, they expect me to follow behind because apparently they're supposed to run my life" Gabrielle rolled her eyes

"Take it you don't have a good relationship with your parents?"

"It's... rocky sometimes. I just, wish they saw me for me and not what they want me to become. They need to get over it, I'm not that tiny baby they held in their arms. They gave me a name, they didn't give me an occupation to follow behind. It's not what I want to be"

"And what do you want to be?"

"Is it not obvious?" Gabrielle chuckled

"I like to sing"

"And you're really good at it I might add"

"Thank you" the blonde giggled

"I'm serious, I can't explain it yet but... You're really talented, I've only heard you twice but you captured me into a trance each time"

"Really?" The girl asked with a small smile on her face

"Yes ma'am" Ember chuckled, leaning back into her seat

"So tell me about yourself?"

"Well... There's not much to know actually" Ember mumbled

She knew damn well she couldn't tell the girl what her history was

"Oh really?"

"Yes"

"The girl that continues to hit on me and is bold enough to part a crowd just to make it clear that she wants something, doesn't have an interesting history?" Gabrielle asked

"As I said, you put me in a trance. Maybe it was your voice that brought out that confidence in me"

"I doubt it"

"Oh don't be sorry sure sweetheart" Ember said, bringing her cup to her lips

Her narrowed eyes pierced into golden orbs, watching as a small blush crept onto the blonde's cheek at the harmless pet name

"Come on, tell me something"

"Well I moved in a few months ago, I'm still adjusting to this busy side of the city since I grew up near to lake side near the park"

"How's that going for you?"

"It's... Been hectic" Ember chuckled

"Why get an apartment near the busy streets if you're a business major?"

"I.... I never thought of it like that actually"

"I guess you just wanted a change of scenery that you hadn't thought it through huh?" Gabrielle chuckled

"Yes, exactly. How did yo-"

"Take it from me, I've been there" The girl said

"My parents studied science non stop until they becane surgeons, I understand that pressure you felt to live up to their expectations. Only problem now is, you broke that chain while I.... "

"While you on the other hand fall in line and focus on business because you want to at least make enough money for yourself that would make them think you're stable and they would leave you alone for even a little bit" Gabrielle finished the girl's sentence

"Fucking. Yes. Oh my God" Ember chuckled

"I guess you and I are more alike than I thought" Gabrielle said

Something about the way the girl's eyes wondered over Ember's made her lungs tighten. Gabrielle's golden crust eyes slowly wondered over her own, greeting the saturated green orbs with a warm smile on her lips, her eyes then travelled lower to somewhere that made Ember's heart start to grow in her chest

Golden eyes landed on Ember's lips for a few seconds, admiring every curve, every dip, the way they were flushed pink and slightly more plump on the bottom

Gabrielle sunk her teeth into her bottom lip as she inhaled sharply, turning her eyes away to look at anything other than Ember

"I think... I'm going to be late" Gabrielle mumbled, sliding her way out of the booth

Words still hadn't even registered into Ember's brain as yet until she saw the girl move

"Wait, what?" She asked

"I have a meeting to go to in ten minutes, I'm sorry" She mumbled, hooking her guitar strap

"Wha-" Ember moved fast, sliding out of her booth and trying to get as close as possible as she could to the girl

"Wait a minute"

"Yes?" Gabrielle asked, turning on her heels to face the girl

"Can I get your number then?" Ember asked

Sure it was a simple conversation, but it was one that Ember seemed to enjoy more than she hoped for. She tried her best to resist flirting but there was just something about that blonde girl that she couldn't get away from

Like a craving to know her

"you'll have to try harder than that" Gabrielle chuckled, spinning back around to head out towards the door

"Let me atleast get your last name!" she yelled

The singer stopped in her tracks, the back of her head shook slightly but Ember know the girl was smiling and shaking her head

One more glance was given as Gabrielle looked back again, her golden eyes matching earthy ones

"Maybe next time"
