"Tell me, is this dress better than
the last one?" i asked Draco who is boredly sitting on the chair looking at me as i spin my dress around.
"Drac, come on help me out here." I complained as i continue to look at my self at the mirror, searching for some ugly spots and angles to fix right away.
"You look dashing Mademoiselle," he simply said and looked out the window.
"You literally said that for the last 5 dresses. Are you joking or not?" I threw my bow at him.
"But mademoiselle i ran out of words, besides you look good at anything you wear. Heph wouldn't care much about it anyway." He said.
I don't know if that was supposed to be a compliment or what.
"Fine never mind. This is the best so far." I said as i do a last twirl with my cream dress, the color matches my skin tone so much.
"Here don't forget the necklace and the mask. You have to hide your identity remember?" Draco reminded me.
He stood up and went behind me to fix the mask on my face and place the necklace around my neck.
"You look beautiful. I'd be watching you two but don't worry if you start smooching I'll look away. It's not like i want some live action. Anyways have fun and.. try not to give in with your.. you know what." He patted my shoulder and led me downstairs.
"Drac, I'm nervous." I whispered but he just shrugged.
"Wow you really did change your clothes, i see. You really shouldn't have, it's a simple picnic after all." Heph approached making me blush.
I looked at Drac to show my blush. He acted like he wanted to puke before leaning in to whisper something.
"I dont know if i say this enough but please don't forget that we're in an ancient time so try not to raise your hopes up."
"Your such a boomer. I know what I'm doing okay?" I raised both my thumbs to show that i am indeed okay.
"Yeah, sure you are." He rolled his eyes. He patted Heph's shoulder before waking away.
"Uh is he okay?" Heph asked.
I raised my shoulders and lead the way to the door. I did my best to look glamorous as i walk but was just interupted by a soldier rushing to talk to Heph.
"Sire, this is urgent.." the soldier did his best to catch his breath as he reports.
I made faces and crossed my arms. What now?
I looked at Hephaestion who remained stoic while listening to the soldier who's whispering whatever he is talking about.
Like hello? I'm not an enemy okay?
"Heph-" i called. He raised his right hand to stop me and brought his attention to the soldier.
I gritted my teeth and walked out the door.
"Urgh!" I shouted my frustration and leaned on the pillar, waiting for Hephaestion.
"Margaux I'm sorry but i have to go." Heph tapped my shoulders.
"Okay." I looked away with a heavy heart. I was looking forward for this.
Heph nodded and kissed my forehead before going to the side where 2 horses bieng attended by slaves.
"Drac can you accompany me for a while. I'm disappointed." I talked to the air.
Minutes later Draco sat besides me with a basket of fruits.
I sighed and took the basket from his. I stuffed my mouth with grapes while looking at the beautiful scenery.
"Yow know dish oish hardsh-der jan longdishtansh relashionshis," i spoke with my mouth full.
"How come? You two aren't even together." Draco commented pulling the basket back. He took an apple and took a big bite from it.
Me on the other hand forcefully swallowed the grapes in before talking my shoes off my foot. I raised my shoes up midair and slapped it to Draco.
Draco was cought off guard, throwing the basket to ran away from me.
He ran towards the stables, purposely to lead me towards the mud.
Argh!
"Draco!" I shouted balancing myself while putting back my shoes on. I didn't hesitate to ran over the mud to catch up.
Draco panicked when he saw me continue running. I heard a faint curse coming from him as he tries hard to get a horse.
"Sayonara!" He shouted after successfully pulling the horse out splashing the mud over my dress.
"Drac!" I looked unbelievably on my messed up dress.
"Oh, it's on. It's really on." I said in a psychotic sound. I ran towards the servant who has his mouth open due to our severely childish actions.
I waved my hand to wake him from reality while my other hand pulled the necklace out from my chest.
"Is that horse ready? I have to catch up with that irritating human bieng." I smiled looking creepy.
The slave looked down and gave me the horse.
"Thanks," i smiled widely.
I climbed the horse up and position myself on top.
"Hi-yah!"
I kicked the horse and turned it down hill. The horse run fast through the thin air that i couldn't help but to feel this moment. I took a moment and smiled- contented as pictures of happy memories flash on my mind.
I know that nothing last forever, but i hope this feeling.. this feeling of freedom and no worries would..
I bit my lips and looked straight ahead just in time to stop the horse at the gate of the village.
"Now if I'm a dumb guy, roaming around these houses on a horse, where would i go and hide?" I spoke to myself looking and checking each dark corner of the streets.
"Not here.. definitely not here either," i whispered while walking pass through each houses dark walls.
"Draco!" I took a deep breath before yelling his name.
I pursed my lips while galloping around the village.
"Draco!" I shouted once again but the whole place seems to have no signs of him.
If he's not here.. he might be on the camp. I might see Heph too so, i think I'm going.
I pulled my horse on the other way, down towards the wide path towards the camp.
"Draco! Yohooo!" I shouted as soon as i arrived at the entrance.
Hmm..
"Hey you there!" I shouted at a passing soldier.
I made sure to bring out my necklace from Heph before jumping down the horse. I carressed the horses mane before pulling it to walk beside me.
"Yes," he asked.
"Did you see Draco anywhere?" I asked.
"I did.. not just here ma'am. I'm sure that i saw him head towards the far East." He explained pointing at the path we passed through upon arriving here.
"There? As in.. you mean there?" I asked.
He's fast.
"Yes," he confirmed.
"Are you certain?" I asked still doubting.
"Yes ma'am." He repeated before walking pass me.
"That guy.. seriously, is he allergic to my shoes? They smell fine." I sighed and looked at the horse eye to eye.
"Hey horsey. Help me catch up to that bad guy okay?" I said while carresing it's mane.
I ran my hands on my body while walking to its side. I hold on his body to support my weight as i push myself up the obedient horse.
"Good boy! Or girl." I patted it's shoulders before moving forward. I passed through Heph's tent but it's curtain is closed so i didn't bother to drop by.
I'll do my best to become understanding.
"Hi-yah!" I shouted and galloped towards the end. Running the horse as fast as i could.
As i reach farther from the village a figure of a man popped up.
"Draco!" I smirked and run my horse faster.
Wait why does he have companions? I asked myself as i come nearer and nearer to Draco's figure.
Wait a minute.. that's not Draco!
I immediately pulled the rope and stop my horse at once. Oh no who are these people?
I took a deep breath and slowly turned my horse around.
"Stop!" I'm doomed.
I gulped and stopped. Lord please help me.
I closed my eyes and waited for them to approach while also calling Drac using my mind.
'Drac please come and help me. I don't want to die here!'
Oh no, oh goodness! I panicked in my mind, still shutting my eyes tightly.
'Neigh!'
My heart almost jumped out of my ribcage when i heard a large stomp on the ground and walked closely to my direction.
I bit my lips and held my breath.
"My, my, my, look who we have here." A deep baritone voice vibrated on my ears.
I never felt this kind of fear since the time where i met Heph. Only difference is that this guys voice hits different that Heph's.
"Open your eyes, sweetheart." The guy sexily said in a low voice.
With all my courage i opened my eyes and let go of my breath.
"H-hi, w-who are y-you?" I tremebled at his gaze.
The guy is smirking while looking at me straight in my eyes. He has perfectly shaped body and curly hair.
Could this be him?
"Margaux.. long time no see, agápi mou." He smiled.
"Uh.. hi? Hello? How.. do you do?" I awkwardly spoke and look away.
"Miss me?" He asked walking nearer.
"Woah stop right there!" I panicked and pulled my horse back.
He did stop and tilted his head, still looking at me with a wide smirk.
"I beg your pardon.. Really! But uh, who the heck are you?" I asked.
With that he laughed and walked closer. He pulled the rope to stop me from moving and held out his hands.
I just stared at his hands, refusing to hold him. This guy's aura screams danger.. the same danger i feel whenever I'm around Heph.
"Hmm," the guy hummed and looked at his fellow soldiers.
"Go, inform my brother that I'm here.. and that i found what he's hiding." He pulled his hands back and looked at the three soldiers before us.
"Yes sire!" The three shouted at the same time before heading out straight towards the village.
"It's been two years, right? Agápi?" He said folding his arms, smiling at me.
Agapi?
"Ha ha. I'm sorry to burst your bubble curly head boy but uhm..
how do i say this?
I- I am not Agapi- Agapi Mou... but if she was here I'm pretty sure she'll be happy to see you too.. again." I said as i calculate my words.
I'm not trying to be dumb here but i feel like bieng one without any slight bit of effort.
"Very funny love. Anyways why don't we head back the camp. I'm excited to know how you came along with Heph." He smiled before pulling his horse closer.
He climbed the horse expertly then looked at me.
I gulped a couple of times after realizing what he wants. I took a deep breath and accepted his out stretched arms, pulling me up his horse.
Mama Mia help me.
He was rough, unlike Heph who always guides me, making sure that I'm alright. He even forcefully pulled my hands to wrap around his waist for my support.
Draco, I'll never forgive you if this guy turns out to be the baddie.
"Hold on tight, agápi." He whispered before whipping the rope to the horse.
Poor horse.
I sighed in disappointment when the horse let out a loud niegh.
Bastardo.
While fixing my hair, I looked back at my horse who is all alone, looking at our decending figures.
"Hey, the horse. We can't just leave em' alone there." I protested while patting his back.
The guy just chuckled and hit the horse harder to increase our speed.
"Snobby Jerk." I whispered, holding on his waist tighter.
'Neigh!'
"Woah!" I shouted and gripped on the guys shoulders tightly.
"What is wrong with you!?" I shouted and punched him.
"A-Alexander.. Brother." I heard a familiar voice, lighting up my gloomy face.
"Heph!" I shouted gleefully, jumping down the guys horse then towards him.
I looked up at Heph and sweetly smiled at him, he returned my sweet smile with an awesome chuckle before extending his arms to pull me up.
I gladly accepted his hands and voluntarily wrapped my arms around his waist.
His oily, but I'll manage.
"Hephaestion, brother. I thought that we agreed on sharing her." The guy started the conversation.
Sharing me? Excuse me?
"Who is he?" I whispered behind Hephs ear.
"Alexander," he whispered back before sitting straight.
"I'm sorry brother, this won't happen again." He said in a much deeper voice.
Wow, now that's a voice! But wait, did he just say that this guy is Alexander? As in Alexander the Great?
Oh my! He is handsome!
"I'll let this pass, since I'm sure that you also missed her. It's been 4 years since the last time we saw her." He said in a light voice.
4 years? We? He mentioned that it was 2 years ago? Could he be lying?
