An Understated Dominance by Marina Vittori Chapter 1333
âMiracle doctor, are you surprised?â Eleanor asked with a smile.
âI saw you on the streets and thought you looked familiar. I canât believe itâs really you. We parted ways in a rush the last time. I didnât even get to thank you. Iâll have to treat you to a meal this time.
âItâs nothing, Ms. Welch. I just did what anyone should do.â Dustin nodded slightly. âMs. Welch, you ⦠know this guy?â Zion asked cautiously.
Eleanor slapped Zion across the face once more. She yelled at him, âOf course! This miracle doctor is my savior! How dare you touch him? Do you think I wonât kill you?â
âYour savior?â Zion was so shocked that his legs almost gave way. He had thought Dustin was only an ordinary citizen who could fight and had some medical skills. He didnât expect him to have the backing of the Welch familyâs heiress. He had made an unwise move.
âWhat are you still standing there for? Hurry up and apologize to him before I make your life miserable!â Eleanor glared at him.
Zion took it a step further. With a dull thud, he got down on his knees and knelt before Dustin. He smiled apologetically. âI-Iâm sorry, Mr. Rhys. I didnât know better. I hope youâll forgive me.â
âAlright, thatâs enough. Just leave with your men!â Eleanor was extremely upset.
âRight away, weâll be leaving right away.â Zion was humbled and escaped the place immediately.
âWait!â When Zion got to the stairs, Eleanor yelled for him. âWhen you get back, remember to tell that bastard Swanson that Iâll make him regret it one day!â
Zion forced a smile and nodded before leaving the place for good. Even though both families were wealthy, the Welchs were much more powerful than the Swansons. Even Ezra Swanson would show deference when faced with this willful young woman. What more a butler like him?
âYou arenât hurt, are you, miracle doctor?â Eleanor turned her attention back to Dustin and flashed a wide smile.
âIâm fine. Thankfully, you came right on time.â Dustin chuckled.
âI guess we were fated to meet. Letâs go, Iâll treat you to a meal!â Eleanor was about to drag Dustin down the stairs when Dustin suddenly spoke.
âMs. Welch, instead of a meal, I have something I need your help with.â
âOh? What is it?â Eleanor was curious. âI heard your family is in possession of a Dragon Panax. I wonder if that is true? Dustin asked.
âI think so.â Eleanor nodded thoughtfully.
âTo tell you the truth, I need the Dragon Panax to save a life. If possible, Iâd like to purchase it for a high price.â Dustin went straight to the point.
He had been thinking of ways to get the Welch familyâs Dragon Panax. He didnât expect an opportunity to present itself this fast.
âCome on, isnât it just a medicinal herb? Why would you need to pay for it? Iâll just give it to you as a gift!â Eleanor said without restraint.
âMs. Welch, Dragon Panax is extremely valuable. I canât just take it for free. I should greedy. pay for it.â Dustin wasnât âLook, you saved my life, and Iâm giving you a herb in exchange. Whatâs the big deal? Letâs go. Come home with me. Iâll give it to you right away!â Eleanor insisted and dragged Dustin into the car.
Seeing her enthusiasm, Dustin didnât want to refuse her. After about half an hour, their car stopped in front of her house. After they got off, Dustin followed Eleanor into the Welch family mansion.
The Welch familyâs mansion was massive and luxurious. Built in an affluent neighborhood in Oakvale, the mansion resembled a grand palace. Those unfamiliar with the place would easily get lost.
Dustin had just entered the garden when he saw a plump middle-aged man carefully instructing a group of maids in tending to the flowers and plants.
âMr. Yaxley, come here for a while.â
Eleanor waved at the man to get his attention.
