"Does that guy in front of me also have a divine connection? Interesting! If that's the case, let's see what you've got!"

Thresmund suddenly felt a surge of confidence. He threw the question he had about how he had gotten pulled into the barrier to the back of his mind, focusing instead on the familiar divine energy he sensed within Clint.

However, he was mistaken. The divine connection he felt was merely a mark that Howl had placed on Clint.

Of course, Thresmund had seen Clint before. Years ago, he had accompanied Harkin to look for Clint at the mountain gate. However, being blinded by power now, he could not recall having met Clint-especially since he had changed so much.

Thresmund channeled his celestial energy into a punch he threw at Clint.

In response, Clint immediately activated his Sun and Moon Sovereign power to counter it. The clash of their energies caused cracks to appear throughout the barrier.

Clint quickly repaired the barrier, then used a space-time rift to move Thresmund

far away.

Awaiting him there was a high-pressure wind sphere.

The wind sphere expanded. In the next instant, Anox extracted earth and fire elements from his fan and directed them into the fierce wind.

In just a split second, Thresmund found himself enveloped in solid earthen tiles.

He struggled against them and managed to break free. Just as he did, however, Clint charged at him once more.

Not backing down, Thresmund manifested a giant serpent from his arm, which bit down on Clint's arm.

Clint channeled the demon fox's power in him and struck Thresmund with his tail.

Thresmund extended his serpent and retreated swiftly. At this moment, Clint used a space-time rift to flash behind Thresmund, causing the snake latching onto him to twist into two.

Reacting quickly, Thresmund fired a volley of sharp spikes behind him. Clint then released a swirling white mist that corroded the spikes.

Thresmund hurriedly spun around and used the true energy inside him to disperse the white mist. Just as he managed to clear it, a wind sphere appeared beside him.

A fierce gale swept through, and Anox summoned water and lightning. After a powerful barrage, Thresmund found himself suspended in mid-air, gasping for breath.

"How are these two coordinating so effectively? They're formidable! No, the main problem is the one who created the barrier. I have to find a way out of this barrier first," Thresmund muttered.

In the meantime, Clint was assessing Thresmund and noted he had reached the peak of his true energy. If they continued to deplete his energy like before, it would not be long before he was finished.

Just then, a massive black vortex appeared above the barrier.

Clint realized Thresmund was trying to break the barrier and that he had to act quickly to stop Thresmund.

"Kid! Hurry, stop him!"

"Got it!"

The two attacked Thresmund at an incredible speed. However, to their surprise, he did not even try to defend himself. Instead, he simply continued to gather his power.

"What..."

The massive vortex descended, and in an instant, the barrier collapsed.

They returned to the real world. Clint spat out a mouthful of blood, feeling the backlash from the shattered barrier. Beside him, Anox was out cold.

Clint surveyed the surroundings, panic rising within him.

"This is bad! I thought he wouldn't be able to absorb any more power when the red barrier broke... I didn't expect this..."
