Chapter 584
Trading My Ex for His Uncle
Nyla was surprised to see Regina apologizing.
âMrs. Conway, if youâre truly sincere, you should have Kayden apologize to Mason, not me,â Nyla remarked.
Regina quickly replied, âOf course! When are you and Mr.
Sumner free? Weâd like to invite you to dinner so Kayden can apologize to Mason in front of us parents. That way, heâll learn his lesson.â
âNo need for dinner. As long as Kayden apologizes to Mason, thatâs enough,â Nyla said.
âMs. Kinsey, are you still unwilling to forgive me?â Regina asked.
Seeing Reginaâs helplessness, Nyla guessed she was worried about Damon holding a grudge against Noah at work.
âMrs. Conway, I donât have much contact with Mr. Sumner. If you really want to treat him to dinner, thatâs fine. Just make sure Kayden apologizes, and I wonât say anything bad about your husband to Mr. Sumner,â Nyla replied.
Hearing this, Regina let out a sigh of relief. Just as she was about to respond, Nyla turned and got into her car, driving away.
Watching the car disappear, Regina frowned and hesitated before dialing Noahâs number.
âHey, honey, Nyla doesnât want to have dinner with us. She said as long as Kayden apologizes to her son, thatâs enough,â she informed him.
At a villa on the outskirts of Meristate, Damon parked his car and walked up to the door, ringing the bell.
Soon, he heard footsteps approaching, and the door opened to reveal a scruffyâlooking man.
Damonâs brow furrowed involuntarily. âClark?â
Behind the door, Clark stood disheveled, with an unkempt beard and hair. His loose clothes hung off him as though he were homeless.
Upon seeing Damon, hatred and anger flickered in Clarkâs eyes. âDamon, what are you doing here?!â
Damon felt a wave of displeasure. It had been years since they last met, and Clark hadnât even addressed him as âUncleâ. How rude. But, remembering âI came to ask about my relationship with Nyla Kinsey,â he stated.
âNyla Kinsey?â Clarkâs beard twitched as he coldly replied. âAre you talking about Nyla Jayston?â
âYes, she used to be called Nyla Jayston. Sheâs your exâwife⦠My memoryâs a bit hazy, and I canât find any information about our past, so-â Damon began, but Clark abruptly cut him off.
âIn the past? What do you mean? Sheâs not dead?!â Clarkâs voice was sharp with disbelief.
Damon was startled by the intensity in Clarkâs eyes. âYes, sheâs alive and doing quite well. Whatâs it to you?
Not only was she doing well, but she had also secretly given birth to his child. If it werenât for this unexpected discovery, he wouldnât have even known he had a son.
Suddenly, Clark grabbed his arm, his eyes wide with shock. âWhere is she now? Sheâs really not dead?â
âYeah,â Damon replied with a frown, his gaze growing colder. âI came to ask you about my past with her, not for you to question me.â
âHahaha! Sheâs not dead! Sheâs alive!â Clark exclaimed as he released Damonâs arm.
Nearly dancing with excitement, he rushed upstairs and completely ignored Damon, who was still standing at the door.
Damonâs expression darkened. Was Clark losing his mind? And who wouldnât groom themselves at all?
He pulled out his phone and contacted Luca, speaking coldly. âNotify Clarkâs parents and tell them Iâm at the entrance of his villa.â
