Clarkâs head snapped to the side from the slap, yet he laughed aloud. âDad, youâre scared Grandpa will cut off your allowance if you upset him. But Iâm n Damonâs gaze hardened, his voice iceâcold as he addressed Cyrus, âWhat did Clark mean?â
Cyrus didnât have time for Clarkâs outbursts. He turned to Damon, his expression tense. âDamon, I donât know anything. Clark hasnât been right in the hea If Richard discovered they had leaked information about Damonâs hypnosis, they would be in serious troubleâ
heâd cut off their allowances, and that would be the end of them.
Damonâs face grew even colder. âCyrus, I think I can determine for myself whether heâs in his right mind.â
Cyrus sighed, his shoulders slumping in defeat. âDamon, stop asking. I really donât know anything.â
Damon sneered. âFine. If you wonât tell me, Iâll ask Dad myself!â
