Chapter 1203
The Day I Kissed An Older Man
âOkay, then,â said Jason. âYou can take off your mask in the car. You donât need to wear it anymore.â
Corinne closed her eyes as she rested. She was too lazy to move, so she said to him, âIâll take it off
after weâre back.â
Jason could see how tired she was, so he kept quiet and drove faster until they reached the
expressway.
Two hours later, they finally arrived at the villa.
Corinne was sleeping throughout the journey, but she did not feel comfortable at all. She had a bad
dream where Jeremy would not let her leave and insisted on taking her baby away.
In the end, Jason woke her up.
When she opened her eyes and saw Jasonâs face very close to hers, she instinctively pushed him
away and asked, âWhat are you doing?â
Jason smiled innocently. âWeâre home. You didnât respond when I called you several times, so I
decided to come closer and call you again.â
Corinne sat up straight and looked out the car window.
They had arrived. She had been living there for the past six months, but she did not consider that
home. She simply regarded it as temporary lodging.
âThank you for taking the time out of your busy schedule to send me back. Iâll head in now. You should
go back before itâs dark,â said Corinne politely in a somewhat distant manner.
Jason frowned. âYou can be serious, right? Driving for over two hours is pretty tiring, you know. Arenât
you going to let me rest a bit before I make the trip back?â
Corinne did not want him to go in, but she knew that such long-distance driving was undoubtedly very
tiring. In the end, she agreed and said, âFine. You may come in and have a rest. Iâm just worried that itâll
be dangerous for you to drive such a long way back once it gets dark later.âBooks Chapters Are Daily

Jason smiled. âNot bad! Thereâs some progress at last! Iâm glad youâre showing concern about my
safety!â
Corinne ignored him. She opened the car door and got off.
As soon as she got back to the villa, she drank a large glass of warm water to calm herself. Although
the scare from when she saw Jeremy had disappeared, the trauma of having him take the child away
from her still lingered in her mind. Even though it was only a dream, her mind was not in a good place.
Jason looked at her in distress and said, âDid that short meeting have such a big impact on you?â
Corinne glanced at Jason. âItâs not because of that at all. I had a nightmare while you were driving, so I
wanted to drink some water to calm myself.â
Jason looked at her intently. âWhat sort of nightmare? Tell me. Iâll help share the burden for you.â
Corinne shook her head. âItâs just a nightmare. If I canât even handle a nightmare, how can I ever
survive this ordeal?â
Jason was amused. âMakes sense. Anyway, you should take off the fake face! Weâre already back, and
you donât need to worry that someone else might see you. It looks weird!â
Corinne had forgotten that she was still wearing a fake face and immediately took it off. The material
was soft enough to feel like real skin, and her face was covered in a thin layer of sweat.
Jason handed her two tissues. âYou donât need to meet Jeremy anymore after today. Once youâve
given birth to your baby, Iâll find a way to change your identity and send you abroad without the
Holdensâ knowledge.â
Corinne looked at him gratefully. âThank you. If you need my help in the future, I promise Iâll do my best
to help you.â
Jason pursed his lips and said pointedly, âYou donât need to thank me all the time. Iâm only doing it out
of pure selfishness.â
âSelfishness?â Corinne was stunned for a moment. âWhat do you mean?â
