Chapter 161
Chasing My Pregnant Wife
If Rosalie had known everything earlier and that he had never cut ties with Cynthia, she wouldnât
have married him in the first place.
Both of them fell into silence.
Later, Rosalie spoke again.
âIâve already got the resident register. You must have heard from Caleb, right?â
Theodore grunted. âHow did you get it?â
âGrandma called me over and had a talk with me. It turns out she
knew we were going to divorce a long time ago. She heard the
conversation we had on my birthday night, and she also knew Cynthia
had come back.â
Theodore frowned. âHow did Grandma react?â
âWhy, are you worried sheâll be upset?â
âGrandmaâs old and not in good health,â he said.
âIs she? I donât think you see it that way.â
âWhat do you mean?â
There was annoyance in his eyes.
âNothing much. Maybe you still blame Grandma for forcing you to marry me, and not letting you be
with Cynthia.â
Rosalie didnât believe Theodore had no resentment towards Rebecca
at all.
Theodore forced a smile, and said, âSheâs still my grandmother.â
âYes, Theo, sheâs your Grandma. If leave someday, please take care of her. Visit her often, make
her happy, and say things she loves to
hear.â
Rosalieâs voice choked up, tears glistening in her eyes.
âWhere are you going?â Theodoreâs brows furrowed tighter, his eyes. filled with worry.
âWeâre getting divorced. After that, I wonât be your wife anymore, nor will I be Mrs. Spencer. Where I
go is my freedom, and you have no right to ask anymore.â
Actually, Rosalie didnât know where she was going. Wherever it was, she didnât need to feel so sad
anymore.
Theodore stared at her in silence. He opened his mouth as if to say something, but in the end, he
said nothing.
Rosalie continued, âGrandma voluntarily gave me the resident register and agreed to our divorce.
We donât have to rush anymore, and we donât have to sneak around. You should rest in the hospital
for a few
days.â
Theodore fell silent. After a long time, he said, âRose, I want to ask you a question. Tell me the
truth.â
âWhat is it?â
âWhatâs your relationship with Sebastian?â
Rosalie was silent for a while, then she said, âWeâre friends. Why are you asking about him?â
Theodore didnât respond. Instead, he asked again, âYou said you met him for the first time when you
were getting your degree certificate, and in a short time, you became good friends with him. Isnât
that too quick?â
âWhatâs wrong with that? Havenât you heard of the saying that a friend.
in need is a friend indeed?â
âOh, so you and he became true friends because of that?â
Then, did that mean there was no rapport between husband and wife?
âTheo, weâre ending this. Whatever relationship I have with Sebastian has nothing to do with you.â
Theodore smirked. âThat might not be true.
Rosalie frowned, sensing something malicious in Theodoreâs words.â What do you mean?â
âNothing much.â
Seeing his indifferent demeanor, Rosalie regretted her actions. Why
did she come running here with such eagerness?
She stood up from her chair, and said, âIâm leaving.â
Just as she reached the door, Theodore stopped her, âWait.â
Rosalie turned back. âIs there anything else?â
âYouâre just leaving me here like this?â
âDo you need me to call Cynthia?â
Rosalie had already taken out her phone and dialed Cynthiaâs number. Before Theodore could
speak, she said, âHey, Cynthia, Theoâs in the hospital.â
After finishing the call, Rosalie hung up.
Theodoreâs face darkened. âWho told you to call her?â
âShouldnât I call her? Sheâs your darling. Seeing her might make you
feel better soon.â
With a sarcastic remark, Rosalie turned and left the ward. Theodore clenched his fists, the coldness
in his eyes growing stronger.
