Chapter 217
A Farewell After Being Reborn
Ian looked up at Calvin, who had already changed into swimming trunks and was now wearing
sunglasses. He strutted around like a peacock flaunting its feathers, drawing the admiring glances of
many girls.
âAre you done? If so, youâre free to go,â Ian said, dismissing him.
Unabashed, Calvin said, âSince Iâve come all this way, and itâs still early, itâd be a shame if I didnât soak
in this 5âstar natural hot spring.â
lan wasnât the least bit surprised by his shamelessness. Plus, he couldnât be bothered to deal with him.
He simply ordered, âStay away from me.â He found Calvinâs ostentatiousness embarrassing.
âWhereâs Mrs. Holcomb, Ian?â Calvin was unfazed by his attitude. He snickered. âI heard you guys
were recently seen canoodling in public. Is that true?â
The thought of Sageâs supple body and the way her cheeks flushed while she was pressed against him
reignited lanâs desire. He crossed his long legs and said, âThatâs none of your business.â
âYouâre so heartless, Ian. How could you prioritize hoes over bros?â Calvin lamented, âI was the one
who convinced Ms. Ford to bring Mrs. Holcomb here. Yet, youâre not even willing to share such a
joyous moment with me!â
âShut up,â Ian snapped, annoyed. He looked ahead and noticed Sage and Tiana getting out of the pool
and heading for the dining area. He couldnât help but stare at Sage as she walked away Her hair was
slightly damp, her curves were accentuated, and her fair skin was glowing under the sunlight. Sage
looked like a mermaid who had just emerged from the sea.
Ian had never found Sage particularly attractive in the past. Why did he suddenly think she looked so
much better now? He even felt uneasy when other menâs gazes lingered on her.
Calvin followed Ianâs gaze and spotted Sage and Tiana. The girls were both wrapped in towels and
laughing so hard that their eyes crinkled. âArenât you hungry, Ian? Donât you want to grab something to
eat?â he asked pointedly.
Ian looked up at him. âAre you hungry?â
Calvin was aware that Ian just couldnât bring himself to admit that he wanted to be near Sage, so he
nodded. âIâm starving. Would you mind grabbing a bite with me?â
Ian begrudgingly rose to his feet. âLetâs go.â
Calvin trotted over to Tiana and Sage and took off his sunglasses with a flourish. âHey, ladies!â âWhat
are you doing here, Calvin? I thought you said you were busy today,â Tiana greeted
him.
Calvin felt a little dejected. After all, he was a handsome guy with a killer body. He wondered why Tiana
was able to greet him so comfortably.
Sage, on the other hand, blushed and turned away when she noticed Ian. That was the kind of
reaction one would expect from a girl when she ran into a handsome guy.
Sage couldnât bring herself to look lan in the eye. He was wearing nothing but a pair of swimming
trunks and had a towel draped over his shoulders. He had broad shoulders and narrow hips. His
muscles were toned but not overly so.
Even though she had seen him shirtless before, the dim bedroom lighting made it difficult for her to get
a good look at him. Sage couldnât bring herself to look at him⦠especially his long, powerful legs and
the impressive bulge beneath his swimming trunks.
âJoin us, Mr. Holcomb!â Tiana said casually.
Even though Calvin was a little hurt, his senses were still keen. âMs. Ford, the grilled seafood over
there looks amazing. Letâs get some!â
Tiana got his drift. âSure. Sage, you should get some snacks over here with Mr. Holcomb.â
Sage hurriedly said, âIâll go with you guys!â
âNo, itâs alright. Weâve got this.â With that, Tiana and Calvin walked off, chatting away. Sage was at a
loss for words.
lan smiled when he noticed her ears turn red. âMrs. Holcomb, would you mind getting me something to
eat? After all, you know what I like.â
Sure enough, she raised her head and glared at him. âDo you not have hands? Why should I help
you?â
Ian was unfazed. He walked over to her and took her plate. âLet me help you, then.â
There were a lot of Holcomb Corporationâs employees in the dining area. Even though they greeted the
bickering couple respectfully, they kept sneaking glances at them.
Sage could feel their gazes on them. She assumed he was doing it on purpose. He clearly knew that
there were a lot of his employees around, and that was why he approached her and acted all
chivalrously.
Sage pushed him away. âI donât need your help. I can manage on my own.â Before she could withdraw
her hand, she heard him let out a muffled groan, and she saw his forehead crease.
