Halloween Shopping
Dealer's Girl
Madi POV:
It's been about 2 months living in Virginia. Lexa has become my best friend, I see her almost everyday. Today there's a Halloween party. Lizzie's hosting it at her house since her parents are going on a 2 week cruise.
"Okay, so I've got all the alcohol, decorations and my costume." Lizzie said as she, Liv and I walked to lunch.
"Oo, what are you being?" I asked.
"A clown. Like a sexy Pennywise." Lizzie smirked.
"What about you?" I asked Liv.
"Harley Quinn. The Suicide Squad one." Liv said. "What about you?"
"Just an angel." I shrugged.
"A sexy angel?" Lizzie asked.
"Sure." I nodded, I wasn't really sure what the difference would be but I just had a white dress, white heels, fake wings and a halo headband. "Oh, uh, is it okay if I bring someone?" I asked Lizzie as we neared our lunch table.
"Of course, the more the merrier." Lizzie nodded, sitting in her seat as the boys joined us.
"Yo, yo, yo, who's ready to partyyy!" Chase cheered, sitting beside Lizzie.
"Shush! You're gonna get us in trouble before the party even starts!" Lizzie shoved his chest.
I brought out my phone. I didn't tell Lexa about the party but I'm sure she would love to go...maybe.
Madi: Are you free tonight?
Lexa: I'm usually free every night
Madi: Do you wanna go to a party with me?
I waited for a response which was taking longer than usual.
Lexa: fine
Madi: Yay! So...will you dress up?
Lexa: as?
Madi: Well I'm being an angel...so maybe you can be a devil?
Lexa: are you implying that I'm the devil?
Madi: WHAT? No! I was just saying it would be cool unless you wanna be something else because that's totally fine!
Lexa: relax babe I was kidding I would be honored to be your devil
Madi: We can get your costume after school? I only have a half day.
Lexa: I'll meet you at the bus stop
I looked back up as everyone was talking about tonight.
"What are you being?" Jack asked me.
"An angel. You?" I asked back.
"Jason Voorhees." He answered.
"Cool." I smiled.
"An angel is perfect for you." Jack was looking at me in a way I didn't like.
The bell rang. Saved by the bell. I jumped up and walked to my last class.
Finally, once school was over I got on the bus. Of course Jack sat beside me.
"So, if you want I can pick you up tonight? My parents finally got my car fixed." Jack said.
"I'm good, but thank you." I said, I saw my stop approaching and stood. "See you tonight."
"Yeah, see ya." Jack said, seeing Lexa standing outside.
"Hey." Lexa said as the bus drove off.
"Hi." I smiled.
"I thought you weren't a party person." Lexa said as we began to walk.
"Well, I figured it's Halloween and I don't have anything to do. Plus, I would totally feel better if you were there." I said, not even realizing what I just implied.
"You would, huh?" She smirked and my cheeks went red. "So, you're being an angel and I'm the devil."
"I know it sounds stupid but-" I got cut off.
"I like it." She nodded. She likes it?
"If you want to be something else we can-" I continued.
"Nope, I like your choice." She said.
I fixed my backpack, which was digging into my shoulder.
"Here." She reached forward and grabbed the bag.
"Oh, you don't need to-" I stopped talking as she carried my bag. "Thanks."
"Damn, girl. You put your whole locker in here?" She joked.
"If it's too heavy I can hold it." She told me.
"Trust me, I can carry heavier things than this. We can drop it off at my place." She pointed to her apartment which was up ahead. After we put my bag in her apartment we took the bus to the mall.
"When's the last time you were at the mall?" I asked.
"Too long." She shook her head. We got inside and headed to the first clothing store. "I'm not wearing a dress." Lexa said as we passed the dresses.
"I didn't think you would. We can get you a red shirt?" I looked at her.
"Oh, you know me so well." She smirked. We got to the red shirts and she picked up a tight red top that goes around her neck. "This is fine."
"What about pants?" I asked.
"These." She walked over to a pair of black shorts. After paying for those, which I tried to buy for her but she denied, we headed to a costume store. She got a devil horn headband and trident.
As we left the mall I told her the details of the party. "It starts at eight. Will you be ready?"
"Yep." She nodded, we stood out front of my house. Lexa insisted she walk me home even after we arrived at her house to get my bag.
"I'll order an Uber and text you when I'm on the way." I said and she nodded. It was around two now.
"Alright, see ya, Mads." Lexa said, walking backwards.
"Text me when you get home." I called and after she gave me a wave I walked inside.
I got ready around seven-ish and put on my white dress white a pair of white heels. I did light makeup along with painting my nails white. A smile was on my face as I curled my hair and put the halo headband on. I looked at the clock and saw it was 7:45. I put on the wings and grabbed my small white handbag.
I ordered an Uber and it was here at exactly 7:58. I gave the driver Lexa's address before driving there. I texted her I was here and watched her leave the building.
My jaw dropped. She looked beautiful.
The red top was snug against her chest as the black shorts hugged her tight. The devil horns were sat above her curly dark red hair. She carried her trident and entered the car.
"Hey, angel." Lexa smiled at me.
"What?" My jaw dropped at the nickname but I soon remembered my costume. "Oh, right. Hey. Hi." I closed my eyes as I stuttered.
"Where to?" The driver asked. I gave him the address Lizzie gave me.
The drive was quiet until Lexa turned to me.
"You look great." She said.
"Thanks. Uh, so do you." I told her. Her smile brightened.
"Is this your second party since you moved?" Lexa tilted her head.
"Yep...and don't worry. I know how to get home this time." I teased.
"I wouldn't mind if you needed my help again." Lexa said. If I didn't know any better, I would say she was flirting with me. But I could be wrong. Maybe she's just being friendly.
I was shocked she went all out with her makeup. I could see her eyes tinted with a dark red. A black liner was noticeable but not too big. Her lashes were full and her lips were red. Her lips were so-
"Earth to Madi?" Lexa waved her hand in my face.
Did she just catch me staring at her lips?
"What?" I questioned, snapping out of my day dream.
"We're here." Lexa opened her door and got out.
"Oh." I said to myself. "Thank you." I told the driver before getting out of the car. Lexa shut the door after I got out and the driver drove away. I looked up at the house...correction, mansion. There was loud music playing and people dressed in all different costumes.
"You ready, angel?" Lexa looked at me.
"Yeah." I smiled, following her inside.
