Chapter 492
The Almighty Dragon General
Jay could not do anything but obey his orders. He had to listen to James or heâd be a dead man. He
needed to use all of his resources to investigate this Doctor King and provide James with a detailed
report before nightfall.
After ending the call, James headed to Common Clinic.
May was now May Caden. Her identity was Jamesâs distant cousin. May sat on the chair with her
hands cupping her face, staring blankly into the distance. When James arrived, she quickly got up and
greeted him with a big smile, âHi, James!â
She looked more like a sweet neighbor girl and nothing like a cold blooded killer.
âHey.â James sat down beside her.
âHow are your injuries?â May smiled as she answered, âThese are nothing. Iâve been in rougher shape
during previous missions. I might be fully recovered in a few days.â

James nodded, âFocus on your recovery. From now on, the situation in Cansington is only going to get
messier. Iâm worried that our enemies will start getting antsy and attack my wife. Your mission will be to
protect her.â
James understood, that many people were scheming for his downfall since he resigned and went to
Cansington.
Right now, the Callahansâ public enemies were the Oceanic Commerce and the Five Provinces
Alliance. God knows how many more dangerous threats lurked out of sight. He needed to make
arrangements to ensure Theaâs safety. May was capable, but she was still only one of the SSS-level
killers in the Dark Castle.
He needed more experts like her on his side. He could not use the Black Dragon Army to protect Thea.
âMay, are you still in contact with the other killers in the Dark Castle?â
âWhat?â
May was perplexed. âJames, what do you mean? Do you still think Iâm connected to that organization? I
rebelled and left that place. My name is on their blacklist. How could I still be in touch with those
killers?â James waved his hand to dismiss her suspicions.
âIâm not suspecting you. I want to hire more killers, thatâs all.â
May sighed.
âI havenât gotten in touch with the Dark Castle killers, and I donât know what kinds of people those other
killers were. They might be office workers, lounge singers, or even construction workers.â
May drew a deep breath. She knew the Dark Castle was an intricate and complicated organization
âThere are only two types of killers in the Dark Castle.â
Intrigued, James prompted her.
âTell me more.â
May continued.
âThe first type are those who were trained by the Dark Castle. The organization searches for orphans
all over the world, to train them from a young age. They are left to compete and fight with others in the
same predicament as them for food and the ability to stay alive. Killers who were trained this way were
usually the most merciless.â
âThe second type is hired hitmen.â
âThese killers have unknown identities. They only appear when the Dark Castle needs them to. The
organization sends out missions for them to complete, and they will take a 20% commission.â
James nodded his head in comprehension. He asked May, âWhich type are you?â
âThe first type.â
May began recalling her past.
âEver since I could remember, everything I saw was always covered in blood. I was kept in a cage, and
was pitted against fierce dogs and wolvesâ¦â
May told him her lifeâs story.
It was tragic and cruel. She had wanted to leave the Dark Castle for a very long time, but she was
never able to muster the courage. It was because she was aware of the Dark Castleâs influence. Any
killer who wanted out was guaranteed a certain death.
James contemplated the situation. âSince the Dark Castle had launched a search for you, will the
organization members appear if you were present?â May looked at him as she felt fear creep in. âAre
you planning to use me as bait?â
âYes.â
James nodded. âI need more killers. Youâre an SSS-level killer from the Dark Castle. If you show up,
there will be more ÅSS-level killers after you. Once they show themselves, I donât plan on letting them
return.â
Deterinined, May nodded, âJust tell me whatever you need me to do, James.â
James said, âI just wanted to preface you that this is going to be dangerous. Right now, your focus is on
getting better. When you and Henry are both hale and healthy, we will discuss more on this mission.â
âUnderstoodâ May nodded. Jarnes left promptly after the discussion with May.
