Chapter 175
Spoiled by the President
Her man dangerously squinted his eyes.
âDear, the atmosphere is great, why wonât we do something that we love?â
âWhat? W-What love? Whatâs the thing?â
âYou really have no idea?â
âI-I have no idea...â
âIâll tell you now.â
âHEY! GIDEON LEITH!â
...
On the second day, Nell woke up with regret.
If she knew this would happen, she would not follow him all the way to the mountain peak!
Fortunately, she got something out of it. Her legs were sore and she could no longer walk down the mountain, so Gideon shouldered the task of carrying her down to the mountain foot.
The day was not as cold as the night. The sea breeze was blowing on their way down, causing the air to taste a little salty.
Nell leaned on her manâs back and due to the lack of sleep, she was not as energetic.
Gideon saw her dispirited look and said with a smile, âDonât close your eyes so fast. Itâs cold up here, you might catch a cold if you sleep now.â
Nell meekly grunted as a reply.
After they came down from the mountain, Gideon put her down on her feet and they walked back along the beach.
Since they had booked the air ticket to return to Jincheng that afternoon, right after Nell returned to the manor, she started packing up so that they could leave in the afternoon.
Gideon saw how busy she was with the packing and he could not bear looking at her running around. He grabbed her hand and dragged her to the couch.
âCalm down, take a break. Iâll bring you out for lunch later.â
Nell frowned.
âI thought you said our flight is at 2:00 p.m.? If I donât start packing now, what if we canât make it to the airport?â
âNo, we wonât be late. If we are really late, Iâll just call Nancy for help.â
Gideon did not even ask for her opinion, he put a coat on for her and brought her out of the manor while holding her hands.
âWhere are we going?â
âYou will know when we arrive.â
A little further away from the manor was a high-class restaurant, which was the only fine dining restaurant in town.
A few days ago, the two of them unintentionally avoided this restaurant because they were here to experience being a commoner, a local. If they ate and lived like how they used to in Jincheng, this trip would lose its meaning.
However, Gideon brought her into the restaurant today.
The moment they got in, they heard a cheerful cry, âMommy!â
Nell was shocked.
At the next second, she saw the pink little dumpling charging at her like a gale.
âMommy! I missed you!â
Lizzy hugged Nell tightly and nuzzled up against her thighs, looking all cheerful and attached.
Nell widened her eyes in shock.
âLizzy? Why are you here?â
A little further away, the old madam walked out with a slightly guilty look.
âAhem. Nelly, we meet again.â
âOld Madam Quinton? You are here too?â
Nell was stunned. The old madam awkwardly smiled and nodded. âYeah, I brought Lizzy here for a little vacation, I did not expect to meet you guys here. What a coincidence!â
Nell was speechless.
She turned around to Gideon and saw her man averted her gaze. He was looking at almost everything except for her eyes as if he was not part of what happened.
Nell could not help but furrowed her brows.
âThis is... a little strange. This is a little too coincidental. I understand if we ran into each twice back at Jincheng but here? In a secluded little town?â
Despite her suspicions, Nell did not express her feelings, she politely greeted the old madam.
âYeah, I think it was fate that led us to meet. You guys are having lunch here as well?â
âYeah! Yeah! Uh... You guys havenât eaten lunch right? Why donât you join us? I can also thank you for helping us before,â Old Madam Quinton said after an awkward smile.
Nell nervously said, âItâs really nothing, you donât need to thank me for that.â
âOf course I do! Itâs rare to find girls with a kind heart nowadays. Besides, you are beautiful and attentive, anyone would easily fall for you, am I right, Mr. Leith?â
Gideon looked a little gloomy at her question.
Nell thought he did not like having lunch with company, so she subtly pulled his sleeve and signaled him to stop it.
Her man suddenly looked stiff. He grunted softly and hugged her in his arms.
âI donât need you to tell me how good my wife is.â
Old Madam Quinton was speechless.
Nell glared at him. She said softly with gnashing teeth, âCan you be more respectful when you talk to your elder?â
Gideon was speechless this time.
Old Madam Quinton quickly smiled to save them from the awkwardness.
âItâs fine. Young people tend to be a little grumpy, I understand.â
Despite saying so, she glared at Gideon for a few moments.
The glare made Gideonâs heart ache.
Since Old Madam Quinton insisted and was passionate about it, Nell followed her into the room and it was then she saw another elder sitting there.
Compared to the energetic Old Madam Quinton, the old man looked weaker and paler, he was also in the wheelchair, it was not difficult for people to know that he had some health issues.
Old Madam Quinton introduced him to Nell, âHeâs my husband, you can just call him Grandpa Leith.â
Nell was shocked.
âLeith?â
The old madamâs smile froze for a moment. She quickly forced herself to calm down and awkwardly said, âUh... Yeah! What a coincidence! Haha...â
Nell nodded. âYeah, what a coincidence.â
She subtly turned to Gideon and saw his gloomy face and furrowed brows. The man was not even looking at the old couple, as though he was having problems of his own.
Nell suddenly realized something. She chuckled and turned around to the old man. She greeted him politely, âHi Grandpa Leith.â
âHmmm, good, good. Have a seat. You must be hungry after a tiring night. Look at you, you are so thin, have more food! Make yourself comfortable!â
Gideon was petrified at the words of the old man.
Nell was rather generous at the comments, she smiled and nodded, âThank you for your concern, Grandpa Leith.â
Old Madam Quinton immediately pinched Old Master Leith by the waist.
Old Master Leith did not know what happened, he looked at her with a confused look, âHey? Why are you pinching me?â
Old Madam Quinton was speechless.
All she could do was awkwardly smile and say, âItâs... nothing! Come, letâs eat!â

The chefâs cooking was amazing, all the dishes were beautifully prepared and it was alluring and mouth-watering to look at.
Old Madam Quinton was passionately hospitable. Nell made herself comfortable and joined them for lunch.
Lunch ended in a peaceful and warm atmosphere.
After lunch, Old Madam Quinton asked them to bring her to the manor that they were staying at.
Nell looked at the time and realized there was still some time before boarding, so she agreed and brought the three of them to the manor for a visit.
Lizzy stayed close to Nell as if she was glued to her, she did not want to leave Nellâs side.
Nell was fond of Lizzyâs company, she somehow felt close to this little girl. She carried her to the garden in the backyard and taught her how to braid a flower headdress.
