Sixty five
Little bites, alpha(to be taken down for editing)
âYes I amâ I lied despite my banging headache.
âYou do not look fine Raina. Are you sure you are ok?â Lucy said not convinced with my lie.
âA little headache, Iâll be fineâ I lied again. It didnât seem like I was going to fine anytime soon.
âOKâ She finally agreed with me.
âTake care of yourself Rainaâ Jack said as he left with Lucy. Ri stood up not saying anything. It hurt me but what would I say to her again? It was obvious she had some kind of grudge against me that she was not ready to let go of.
âBe careful Ahriman or else you might just dig up your own graveâ Ri whispered in my ear before she left. Her calling me Ahriman wasnât what scared me but the fact that her voice sounded exactly like Abigailâs. Still unable to get over the shock I watched her as she walked away like she did not just call me Ahriman. How the hell does she know?
âDid she say something hurtful?â Lucian asked. I nodded, no.
âShe did not. I need to talk to Henriettaâ I told him standing up immediately.
âAre you sure you both are fine?â He held unto my hands stopping me from moving.
âYes we are fine Lucian. Leave my hand alone pleaseâ I yanked my hands away and made my way to Henriettaâs room.
I knocked on the door a few times before she decided to acknowledge the sound on her door. I chose not to let that get to me as I waited patiently for five minutes before I actually heard her walk towards the door to open it.
âRi, what did you mean when you said Ahriman the other timeâ Not until after I said that did I realize how stupid that sounded. I did not even say a small hi but at this point that wasnât really what I wanted. The look on confusion her face made this confrontation more embarrassing.
âWhat are you talking about Raina?â She asked pulling me inside her room as she locked the door.
âDo you know what Ahriman is?â I decided to change the tactics instead.
âNo, should I know what it means?â Her questioned annoyed me.
âStop playing with me HENRIETTA!â I screamed at her furiously. She suddenly started bursting into laughter. Although this angered me further I was a little relieved that she was just playing with me.
âYou are so easy to piss offâ She said laughing. It did not seat right with me that she joked with me with that name. Why did she pick me to play with. Something isnât adding up?
âBefore you think too deep, I just wanted to scare you although you seemed more anxious than scared. Ahriman is the name of the goddess of chaos and I definitely did not expect you to know she existed. Why would I not know when I am SHE.
âDonât play with something that serious pleaseâ I told her sincerely.
âIâm sorry if I got you scared but I hope you now know that we are cool. I just wasnât myself for a whileâ
âItâs ok but Ri,â I called.
âHmmâ She hummed in response.
âhave you met Abigail?â I asked because why her voice sounded like hers was still not explained. Before Ri could respond I heard Abigailâs voice in the background.
âQuit questioning my messenger for she does not know of thisâ
âYou know what forget it. See you during lunchâ I hurriedly said. So I was basically conversing with Abigail and Henrietta has no idea what is going on?! What the hell is going on.
âBe careful of what you say Ahrimanâ
âLeave me alone!â I screamed. Abigail laughed.
âYou canât tell what the correct act to take is Ahrimanâ Abigail continued to taunt me as I rolled on the floor in tears just wanting her voice to leave me.
âRaina. Raina, Rainâ I heard Lucian call my name. I looked up and sighed in relief when his frame got close to me.
âBE CAREFUL AHRIMANâ Abigail yelled before my head became clear and I could finally focus on my surroundings and Lucian kneeling in front of me holding me against him.
âWhat is going on with you Raina?â I moved my head left to right.
âPlease talk to me, youâre really scaring me. With the war ahead of us I want to be sure I can protect you at all timesâ Lucian begged.
âTake her to the room Lucianâ Lucy said. I looked up to see Lucy and some other strange faces all staring at me, pity in their eyes
Lucian lifted me up the ground, kissed my sweaty forehead before heading for the room upstairs. Tired from all the mind games, screaming and crying my eyes closed slowly. I felt Lucian drop me on the soft mattress then him sitting beside me running his hands through my hair.
âI wish you would trust meâ I heard him say and it broke my heart that he does not see how much I trust him but I wasnât ready for that conversation yet so I pretended like I did not hear him until I could not.

I stood up with a very loud scream only to meet with everyone at the dining table staring at me with look of concern on each of their faces. I started breathing heavily. Was that a dream? I though I just had a vision then a weird encounter with Abigail. What the hell is going on with me. What the hell is running through my head?
âWhat happened Raina?â Lucian asked. I nodded, no, lying about what just happened to me.
âDonâtâ lie to me Raina. You were screaming before you even woke up. What is wrong?â He asked again but this time his question was more grounded leaving me with no option but to answer his question.
âI saw something and then I told you guys I think I have a sister and we all concluded that it was not possible and then weirdly I found myself at the scene again but this time I had an encounter with Abigail again warning me to be careful. I begged her to leave me the hell alone but she wouldnât then she started messing with my head only for me to fall to the ground in tears. You came along to carry me to the room to rest and here I am not sure what just happenedâ I explained to all of them. They all had perplexed look on their faces leaving me confused of the whole situation.
âWhat is going Lucy?â Lucian faced Lucy who has an irritated expression on her face.
âWhy would I know?â She asked definitely angry. He sighed and then spoke up after a minute.
âI already apologizedâ He said. Hmm. Theyâve been talking while all these was happening. I just hope he was apologizing for how he talked to them earlier because that was so unlike him.
âI do not also understand what is going on. I think we just need to start the journey to starting the whole war as soon as we can because the longer we wait the more danger we are putting Raina inâ She explained.
âWe should start as soon as we can but first we need to be prepared so letâs say a week?â Lucian suggested.
âA week?!â Henrietta exclaimed.
âWhatâs the issue Ri?â I asked her. She nodded, no.
âNothing. I do not just think that we are prepared for the BLEHEIM yet. Canât you all see that this is us walking to death willingly?â
âI understand your fear but we have to do this, Raina is in danger if we stall this any longer than a weekâ Jack said.
âNot like you are going to listen to me anywaysâ She sighed.
âItâs not that way Henrietta_â Lucy started but Ri stopped her.
âNo, No, No. I get it. A week it is guysâ
âWe should meet your parents during lunch so we can make the final decisions before the BLEHEIMâ I suggested. Everybody agreed with me so we left to our separate rooms to rest before lunch where we have to make a very important decision.
As soon as we got to our room Lucian pulled me into in arms and whispered,
âWe need to talkâ
âIf itâs about speaking up to you before breakfast I wonâtâ I warned him.
âNot about that but now that you mentioned it I think we should talk about it tooâ
âI already told you, I do not want to talk about itâ I groaned.
âI did not like how you spoke to meâ He continued.
âAnd I also did not appreciate how you spoke to me too. I am your partner, the Luna and I get to make important decisions too no just to watch you make all the decisions without talking to me firstâ I argued.
âI am sorry you thought I was being rudeâ
âNot sorry for how you spoke to me?â I asked. He sighed.
âI am sorry for how I spoke to you ok? You are my Luna and I shouldnât have disrespected you that wayâ He apologized.
âAnd I am sorry I spoke to you that way. I was out of line but I just wanted to pass my message acrossâ I apologized also.
âForgivenâ He said with a smile on his face.
âForgiven?â I asked, hope in my heart he was not going to hold on to this for a long time.
âYes of course. I couldnât be mad at you even if I wanted to beâ He said leaving me having a huge smile on my face.
âIt didnât seem like it earlier. I was really scared when your wolf made an appearance. I didnât even realize thatâ
âI am truly sorry about that. I didnât mean for it to happenâ He apologized yet gain.
âEnough apologizes, what is it that you wanted to talk to me about?â I asked. He pulled me to the bed side and made me sit before he did the same thing.
âI want to introduce you to the packâ I stared at him in shock.
âWhy?â Not exactly what I would have said but I was too shocked to even think straight.
âYou are my Luna and everyone here need to know you and meet their wonderful Luna officiallyâ
âAre you sure?â I asked not very sure he really wanted me to be introduced to the pack officially.
âOf course Raina. You are really amazing and I want them to see that tooâ He went further
âOkâ I finally agreed.
âThank youâ His face widened as he pulled me closer to him by my shoulders hugging me tightly.
âIs there anything Iâm supposed to know about being Luna beforehand?â I questioned.
âJust be you. They will all love youâ He encouraged.
âAnd when is this big introduction happening?â I asked excitedly.
âWhen we are about leaving and I have to give the pack a brief of what is going onâ He replied.
The idea that he only wanted them to meet me because he had to introduce me for the journey found its way to me heart. He didnât have to lie about how amazing of a person I was because he wanted to introduce me. He could have just told them without telling anything.
âNope. We should rest before we have to meet your parentsâ I lied letting myself fall flat in the bed.
âLunch is ready Rainaâ I grumbled as I opened my eyes.
âI need to sleep Lucyâ I said into my pillow. Lucy pulled me up.
âWe have a meeting, rememberâ This was enough to get me wide awake.
âHave you been crying?â She inquired as soon as I stood up to face her with a frown on my face.
âNoâ I lied walking quickly to the bathroom to wash my face and rinse my mouth with water.
âYou are like a sister to me Raina and I wish you would just let yourself be happyâ She said.
âI am trying Lucy. I really amâ I told her truthfully.
âThatâs good. I hate seeing you this wayâ She confessed.
âDid you have a sister?â I asked on our way out of the room after I applied moisturizer on my face.
âNo. My aunty and uncle did not have children of their ownâ She answered me.
âAunty and Uncle?â I asked because she told me her parents were killed.
âYes, I usually call them my parents because they raised meâ
âWelcomeâ Lucianâs mumâs voice disrupted out talk so we just stopped and looked up to greet her.
âNow we have to talk about the journey you are about to startâ His father said.
âYesâ Jack agreed.
âFirst, you have to introduce your mate like we discussed earlier, then we will have to go to figure out where to start lookingâ The former alpha said.
âI figured that outâ The former Luna said not giving me to even think about the fact that Lucian asked me not because he thought about it but because his father told him to.
âWhat did you figure out mum?â Ri asked.
âOne of the pieces will be with her because she is the messenger, the ones for the dragons will be in the dominant dragon pack which is the only one I think we have then we have to figure out which witch coven has more ancestral heritageâ She broke it down for us all. We all agreed to this and decided that we have to start the journey in a week.
The meeting was cut short because lunch came and we were all hungry but at least we already have the answers we need for the journey ahead of us.
âExcuse meâ I announced leaving the room before anybody could object.
