Against all odds - Minsung [✔]
"Jisung, you're here!" He smiled, embracing him. There was the same faint burning sensation on Jisung's wrist like yesterday, but he ignored it.
"I have a lot in my mind right now and I was happy when you texted me. Hanging out with you would probably help me clear my mind for a while," he explained, seeing Hyunjin glance at him with raised eyebrows.
"Same here! My day wasn't that great either, but now that you are here..." he smirked, pulling Jisung closer to his side.
Jisung shuddered, but tried to play it cool. "Uh, yeah... Where are we exactly going and what did you want to tell me?"
"I won't tell you. It's a surprise," he grinned. Jisung thought that it was quite weird for the both of them to be hanging out in an eerie place like this, especially because he didn't know where they were going.
The only reason why he trusted Hyunjin was because the two of them were friends. Looking over his shoulder, he saw that the street was empty, nobody was around in this area since people stuck to the popular shopping streets.
Something in his mind told him that this was not good. Maybe he should turn around and leave Hyunjin. Nobody knew where he was and if something ever happened to him, who could help him?
His conflicted gaze came to rest on Hyunjin. The burning of his mark was unsettling him since it steadily worsened, and he found himself questioning his decision of coming here.
He should have listened to Minho, but it was a little too late for second thoughts. They suddenly turned into a dark and narrower alleyway, and that was when he became more cautious.
He didn't want to be here any longer. He wanted to go back home. When Hyunjin had invited him on a hangout, he hadn't expected him to lead him in some random shady alley.
"Hyunjin?" he asked, and Hyunjin studied him for a moment before a grin appeared on his lips. "What is it, Jisung?"
"I want to go back," he said and immediately took a step back, intending to get the hell out of there. "I... I just remembered that I have some important matters to take care of."
Hyunjin's eyes narrowed and he was quick to corner Jisung against the wall of a building. His back hit the solid wall, and he glanced at Hyunjin in disbelief.
"You want to go back now? Well, that's a little too soon," he replied. His hand found Jisung's wrist, encasing it in his hold and pressing it up to the wall. The burning on his wrist became unbearable, reminding him of Minho's words.
This burning sensation served as a warning, telling him that he was in grave danger. He was petrified when he saw the kindness in Hyunjin's gaze fade away. Suddenly, it was filled with hatred and he knew that it had been a terrible mistake to come here.
"Hyunjin? What's going on?"
"You're bonded to a demon, Jisung," he hissed and glared at him with loathing. "At first, I wasn't sure, but when I saw your mark, I knew that I had to take action."
"If I get rid of you, then I'll kill two birds with one stone. It's usually a pain in the ass to fight a demon head-on."
Jisung scoffed at him, "What are you?! A demon hunter?" He said in a sarcastic tone, and he went pale when he heard Hyunjin's response.
"Took you long enough to figure it out. I despise people who establish bonds with demons; they are disgusting filth. You should be ashamed of yourself," he snarled, tightening his grip on Jisung's wrists.
