I Love You More Cade by Coral Hume ( Nydia and Jackson) Chapter 37
I Love You More, Cade by Coral Hume ( Nydia and Jackson)
Chapter 37
âHowâd it go? Is it done?â Josephine asked.
âSorry, Ms. Brooks. She ran away.â Joe lay in the hospital, his head wrapped in thick gauze. Nydia had hit him really hard last night. She smashed his head with a bottle and caused him to get twenty stitches.
Josephineâs face twisted in anger. âBut I gave you one million dollars, and is that how you handle things for me?â
Joe raised his hand and touched his head. He didnât dare to say that it was because he was gullible and didnât bring anyone with him that Nydia escaped. He only muttered, âAnyway, this is already the case. What can we do?â
âGive me my money back!â Josephine shrilled.
Joe was very angry, and upon hearing her say this, he immediately cursed, âAre you dreaming? Weâve done everything we should have done. Doesnât it cost anything to accompany you in the play? If you dare to clamor with me again, believe it or not, Iâll tell Cade everything.â With that, he hung up the phone directly.
Josephine was so angry that she threw her cell phone on the ground.
She had just joined the company. She grabbed the project because she thought if she could get the project, she could make a good start at Jackson Group and lay a solid foundation for herself to become a rightâhand man for Cade and even
to become Cadeâs wife in the future.
However, she underestimated the difficulty of mergers and acquisitions. Although Cade gave her most of the resources, she was unable to complete it.
In the end, the other party signed with another company.
Afraid that Cade would find out, Josephine kept it a secret. Until the day before yesterday when there was a copyright infringement incident, she had the bright idea to throw this tough issue to Nydia.
She even gave the other party one million dollars, requesting them to continue acting with her. She also told them how unpopular Nydia was in Jackson Group, implying that they could do anything they wanted to Nydia. She even promised to give them another 400 thousand dollars after everything was done.
However, Joe was just the second in command of that company, not the boss. Upon hearing Josephineâs tempting offer, he readily agreed without hesitation.
Now, things did not work out, and Josephine paid one million dollars for nothing. She, simply collapsed to the point of
madness.
She fiercely clenched her palms and stared out of the window sinisterly. She said with her teeth gritting, âNydia, youâre lucky this time. Letâs wait and see. Iâll definitely get it back!â
Nydia had not returned yet, and Bentley was very worried. He stood up again but was pulled back by Troy again.

Chapter 37
âWhat are you doing?â Bentleyâs tone took on a rare hint of annoyance this time.
Troy changed to a serious expression as well as he looked at him. âBentley, sheâs Cadeâs wife.â
âI know.â Bentley took a sip of water, his eyes fixed on the glass. âBut Cade doesnât love her.â
âDoes it matter?â Most marriages in rich and powerful families were tied to interests and were the exchange of interests, not to mention that Nydia was just from a failed rich and powerful family. In the eyes of people from the Jackson family, Nydia was just a âtoolâ that could help them gain a good reputation.
âOf course itâs matter, Bentley retorted to Troy almost immediately. âWe only live once, so of course we need to stay with the one we love to the end of our lives.â
Troy found his words childish and shook his head. âYou think a guy like Cade cares about that? If he does, he wouldnât have kept his relationship with Miss Brooks secret until now and let her be criticized.â
Josephine was being criticized? But she was enjoying it.
Bentley snorted softly, dismissing Troyâs statement even more. He used his long fingers to twirl the coffee cup, and after a while, he said, âTheyâll get divorced sooner or later. I can wait.â
Troy didnât know what to say in response and smiled. âGood luck then.â
Bentley was just about to say something more when he caught a glimpse of Nydia coming over. He smiled and asked softly, âAre you done with your work?â
âYes, Iâm sorry.â Nydia had a polite, decent smile on her face, but Bentley could see the smile was forced at a glance.
The waiter started serving the food.
Nydia had no appetite. She caught a cold, and her taste buds slightly malfunctioned, so she ate very little. Bentley didnât eat much either,
Looking at the two, Troy sighed inwardly once again.
Although Bentley seemed to be smiley and gentle toward everyone, few people could enter the hearts of people like him. Troy had known Bentley for so many years and had seen many women pursuing him, but in the end, they all failed. Troy once thought Bentley liked men, which scared him and made him nervous for a long time:
But from Bentleyâs attitude toward Nydia⦠Troyâs mind flashed with the arrogant Bentley. Perhaps, Bentley really had a
chance.
âNydia, how about going to my house after lunch? Troy initiated the invitation.
Bentley looked up at Nydia.
Nydia wasnât in the mood to socialize, so she politely declined. âThereâs still a lot going on at the office, so I have to get back now. Is next time okay? Iâll be sure to visit you first the next time Iâm in Mewarting City.â

âOkay.â Troy smiled and handed over a business card. âI really admire you. Hope we can meet soon.â
*Thanks.â With a smile, Nydia took the business card and stuffed it in her bag without looking at it.
Troy pulled out his cell phone. âLet me save your contact. When youâre done with your busy schedule, come to Mewarting City often. Iâll be your tour guide personally.â
âOkay,â said Nydia.
After Nydia saved Troyâs phone number, Troy suddenly turned his head to look at Bentley. âDid you add Nydia as a WhatsApp friend?â
Bentley gave him a grateful look and smiled. âNot yet.â
Nydia was helpless. Bentley had also done her such a great favor last night, so she couldnât say no. She said, âTell me your phone number and Iâll add you.â
Bentley calmly entered his phone number on Nydiaâs phone, smiling warmly and elegantly. âOkay.â
His outward calmness gave no indication of his inner snickering.
Troy, with a look of disgust, told Bentley with his eyes, âYouâre really good at acting.â
Bentley replied with his eyes, âOld men like you just donât understand.â
After lunch, Troy had something to do in the company, so he left first. Bentley sent Nydia back to the hotel.
Because Nydia didnât sleep well last night, she fell asleep not long after getting in the car.
She leaned quietly against the car window. Her face was tinted red from the sun. Her long eyelashes drooped, casting dense shadows in the sunlight. She was probably dreaming about something, and her eyelashes moved proudly every now
and then.
Bentley was lost in thought as he watched her, his lips filled with irresistible indulgence and tenderness.
He drove the car very slowly because he was afraid that a bump would wake her up.
Nydia slept for two hours. When she woke up, the sun was almost set.
She glanced out and the car was parked in front of the hotel..
She rubbed her sore neck and turned around to see Bentley resting with his hands on the steering wheel and his eyes half-
closed.
He had beautiful hands, very smoothâskinned and strong. Every part of his body looked sexy.
Nydia wondered in her mind what would he look like when he held a scalpel in his hands.
Bentley seemed to sense Nydiaâs gaze and turned his head to look at her, asking softly, âYouâre awake?â
Nydia sat up straight. âYes, how long was I asleep? Why didnât you wake me up?â
âWe just got here,â Bentley answered naturally. âThere was a bit of traffic on the way.â
Actually, the road was clear and theyâd been parked in front of the hotel for an hour and a half.
âOh, I see.â Nydia unbuckled the seatbelt. âThanks for the ride back.â
âMy pl
pleasure.â Bentley smiled. âIâll probably be out of the country for the near future, WhatsApp me if you need any help.â
âOkayâ Nydia got out of the car. After saying goodbye to him, she turned and walked into the hotel.
Bentley watched her figure disappear before leaving.
