I Love You More Cade by Coral Hume ( Nydia and Jackson) Chapter 39
I Love You More, Cade by Coral Hume ( Nydia and Jackson)
Chapter 39
Nydia thought Orsonâs reaction was a bit off, so she curiously asked, âGrandpa, do you know them?â
Dara came out of the kitchen at this moment, smiling as she said, âSir, Madam, the dishes are almost ready. You can call Mr. Cade now.â
Nydia was taken aback. âWasnât the food supposed to be for me to improve my health? Why does Cade have a share in it?â she wondered.
âNydia, call Cade and tell him to come home for dinner,â Orson said with a smile to Nydia.
Nydia clenched her fist, feeling reluctant.
They had such a big conflict in the morning, and she immediately called him for dinner in the evening. That was just weird.
With Cadeâs temper, he probably wouldnât even pick up the phone.
But Orson was staring at her, leaving her no choice but to call Cade.
Nydia mustered up the courage and gave Cade a call.
As expected, Cade didnât pick up the phone.
With relief, Nydia said, âGrandpa, he may be busy. How about we eat first?â
Orson already had a rough idea in his mind. He said in a deep voice, âSend him a message on WhatsApp. Just tell him Iâm here.â With that, he commanded Dara, âKeep cooking.â
âYes, sir.â Dara turned and went into the kitchen.
Nydia furrowed her brows and opened WhatsApp.
Twenty minutes later, Cade showed up at the living room door.
Nydia sneered, thinking Orson was indeed influential enough to bring back the busy Cade.
âGrandpa,â Cade called out, looking at Nydia, only to see her completely ignore him and focus entirely on playing chess with Orson.
Orson nodded. Seeing the snow on Cadeâs shoulder, he said to Nydia, âGo shake off the snow on his clothes.â
Knowing that Orson wanted to improve their relationship, Nydia was unhappy about it but still stood up and walked over to Cade. She grabbed his coat, pretended to shake it several

times, and then threw it onto the coat rack.
Cadeâs face darkened, his hands unbuttoning the cuffs of his shirt, his dark eyes locked tightly onto the woman in front of him.
They were so close that Nydia couldnât ignore his gaze even if she wanted to.
âWhat are you looking at?â she casually asked.
Cade sneered, âWhat did you give Grandpa to make him come all the way over here and personally call me back?â
Nydia was left speechless, thinking she shouldnât have hoped for any nice words from Cade.
âItâs something that youâll never get in your whole life.â Nydia rolled her eyes at Cade and walked away.
With a humph, Cade followed along.
Seeing the couple chatting with each other for a while, Orson felt content. He smiled and leaned back, saying, âDonât just focus on work all the time. Pay attention to your life as well. Only when youâre in a good mood will the baby come quickly.â
âNo wonder heâs here to deliver some food. So itâs all for the greatâgrandson. Nydia felt helpless, but then she heard Cade calmly say, âYouâre right, Grandpa.â
Nydia was totally shocked at his acting.
Orson didnât expect Cade to answer so quickly. He was stunned for a moment before. bursting into laughter. âAlright, alright. With your words, I can finally feel relieved.â
âif I were you, I wouldnât feel relieved so quickly,â said Nydia inwardly.
Dara cooked a table of delicious food.
Nydia finally felt hungry. Especially when looking at the creamy clam chowder, she was almost drooling.
She was just about to get some when she heard Orson say, âCade, help Nydia.â
Nydia froze in place, giving Cade a sidelong glance.
âHe serving me food? Never in a million years! Based on the extent of his disgust toward me, he will definitely pretend not to hear it or give me a look, saying that I should do it on my own. Forget it. Eating is such a wonderful thing. I should be happy and enjoy it. Donât bring bad luck upon myself, she thought.

Nydia smiled and said to Orson, âItâs okay, Grandpa. I can handle it myself.â
She hadnât even finished speaking when Cade suddenly stood up and took the bowl from her
hands.
While Nydia was astonished and Orson nodded approvingly, Cade served a full bowl of clam chowder to Nydia.
âHe must be crazy or just really good at acting. When did he start pleasing Orson so much?â Nydia was totally bewildered and couldnât taste anything in the clam chowder at all.
Orson continued to give Cade a look, telling him to serve Nydia more dishes.
Cade stared at Nydiaâs full plate, furrowing his eyebrows impatiently, but still served her a plate of fish, saying, âEat more. Donât starve yourself.â
Watching his impatient movements and disgruntled expression, Nydia turned her head. slightly toward him and whispered, âCanât act anymore, can you?â
âAinât this the effect you want?â Cade sneered through gritted teeth.
âThen I want more fish.â Nydiaâs eyes twinkled mischievously. âHave a little patience. Grandpa is watching.â
âBe sensitive,â retorted Cade.
âNot cooperating? Watch this,â said Nydia inwardly.
She sat up straight and pouted, âI want to eat fish, but I canât reach it.â
Orson immediately called for Cade, âCade, Nydia wants to eat fish, didnât you hear?â
The tendons on Cadeâs handback stood out from anger. He knew that it was never a good thing when this woman called for Grandpa.
âYou have good hands. Do it yourself.â Cade wasnât planning on spoiling her anymore.
âCome on! Itâs you being twoâfaced and acting all loveyâdovey at first. I didnât ask you to do it,â thought Nydia.
Before Nydia could speak, Orson first voiced his displeasure, âCade, Nydia just returned from a business trip, and it was very tiring. I heard it was even a wasted trip. As her boss and husband, you should be the one to care for her and comfort her the most.â
Nydiaâs slightly cold smile returned to her previous indifference. âIâll just do it myself. Thanks for your concern, Grandpa
Chapter 39
Cade could feel her change. A hint of unknown meaning flashed in the depths of his eyes
âGood kid, youâre so considerate. Cade is somewhat laidâback; donât lower yourself to his level. Orson spared no effort in praising Nydia in front of Cade, also making excuses for Cadeâs indifference.
Chewing fish, Nydia didnât say anything, thinking putting two people who didnât love each other together was giving Orson a headache.
âYour house looks so deserted without even a servant around. I bet you hardly get a decent meal. So, I brought Dara here today. She will be taking care of you from now on. Is that okay?â Orson said, then he glanced at Dara.
Dara immediately understood. She hurried forward and bowed. âMr. Cade, Mrs. Nydia, just let me know if you need anything in the future.â
Cade was sitting there in silence, not showing much emotion
Nydia nodded slightly and said. âOkayâ
She knew what Orson meant by arranging for Dara to be here, not only could she not refuse. but she should be happy about it.
However, she couldnât get happy.
She was always seen as a scheming woman in Cadeâs eyes, and today. Orson himself came knocking on the door. In Cadeâs eyes, she was already up to something fishy, and now with Dara being involved by Orson. Cade was even more convinced that this whole string of events falling into place was all part of her scheme.
Nydia casually glanced at Cade and saw the sarcasm in his eyes as she expected
