Chapter 95

“Sure.” Alice was going to see Keith anyway. First, she wanted to thank him for saving her seven years

ago. Second, she wanted to figure out if he was the same man who slept with her back then.

“How does afternoon sound? Give me a location and I’ll pick you up.” Keith smiled, finally not nervous

anymore. A successful date opens up an opportunity to ask for her hand in marriage.

“No. Just give me the location and I’ll get a ride there,” said Alice. She didn’t want to make it too much

of a hassle. Going back and forth was a waste of time.

Keith wasn’t much of a romantic, so the moment Alice made that proposal, he did as he was told. Alice

checked the time and calculated the distance between her and the places she wanted to go. In the end,

she decided to meet up with Keith first. She wanted to figure out if Keith was the father of her son, and

that was important. Apollo might seem nonchalant about his father, but she knew he yearned for one in

his life.

When Alice arrived at the club, Keith was already waiting for her outside.

He stood tall under the sun, unlike most people his age. He wasn’t scrolling through his phone either.

He was just standing at the club’s entrance. When he saw Alice, he quickly approached her.

The club belonged to Chris, and he happened to come here to settle something today. Just when he

was about to go back home, he saw Alice going into a room with Keith. Why are they together? What’s

going on? No matter what the reason was for Ethan to marry Alice, she still was his wife, and Chris

must find out why she was seeing another man.

Hence, Chris went to his office and asked someone to play the surveillance footage of the room Keith

and Alice were in. Every room in this club had a surveillance camera inside, but they were seldom

used. This was one of the exceptions. Chris watched Alice and Keith as they chatted happily, and then

he called Ethan. “Guess who I saw?” Chris didn’t wait for an answer. Ethan wouldn’t say anything

anyway. He continued, “It’s Alice. That’s not the point, though. I saw her going into a room with Keith in

my club.”

Ethan was about to go downstairs, but he paused when he heard Chris. He remembered that Alice

gave Keith her number at Royal the other day and said she would speak with him soon. She actually

did that?

Alice took out a gift and handed it to Keith. “Here. Thank you for all the help you’ve given me.”

“What?” Keith paused for a moment, delight filling his eyes. In most cases, it was the men who gave

women gifts. This is our first date, and she already bought a gift for me? I don’t have anything for her,

though.

Chris was watching everything, and he blurted, “Whoa, she got him a gift.”

The call was still ongoing, so Ethan heard that, and he narrowed his eyes. “What kind of gift?”

Keith was opening the gift, and Chris saw what was inside.

Chris was shocked and amazed at the same time. “Whoa, holy cow. It’s…”

Sh*t. Ethan’s still listening. Chris then heaved a sigh and calmed himself down. “It’s a thumb ring. I

know that ring. It was the one that showed up at the Woland Group’s auction two years ago. It was

made with a particular type of jade, and it is said that Woland Group hired an expert to design it. I love

it. Someone wanted to buy it off with nine million dollars, but Woland Group didn’t sell. I can’t believe

she’s giving it to Keith. Who is he to her anyway, and why did she give him such an expensive gift?”

Ethan felt demoralized hearing that. She’s married to me, and it’s been a while now, but she has never

given me any presents. So why did she give Keith one? And it’s obviously a valuable one too. They

didn’t sell it even for nine million, so it must mean Alice has kept it for herself. And now she’s giving it to

Keith? What is she doing?

Keith was surprised by the ring as well. “Thank you, Alice. I love it.”

Chris pursed his lips. Duh. Anyone would love something like that, including me.

Keith held the ring up and slid it onto his thumb, the love in his eyes flaring brighter. “I’d like to marry

you, Alice. Will you marry me?” Keith looked at Alice solemnly. When he saw her seven years ago, he

already had the thought of marrying her, and now he didn’t want to let that chance go.

Chris spewed his tea out and coughed violently. He couldn’t believe what he was hearing. He wants to

marry her? But why? She’s stupid and foolish, and she insisted on marrying Bruce. She even gave

Bruce her company. Why on earth does Keith like her? Ethan only married her because of Caroline, so

what’s Keith’s reason? He seems serious too.

It took Chris a while to calm down, and then he told this piece of shocking news to Ethan. “Ethan, Keith

just proposed to Alice.” Yeah, Ethan only married her because of Caroline, but even if she’s not worthy

of him, she’s still his wife. Ethan needs to know this.

Ethan gripped his phone tighter and stopped walking. He narrowed his eyes, a dangerous glint flashing

within them. “Are you sure?”

“Yes. I’m watching them right now through the surveillance camera, and I’m sure that’s what he said,

but I bet she’ll refuse him. She is still your wife at the moment.” Chris wasn’t worried about this. He

thought Alice wouldn’t say yes, no matter what. She is a married woman after all.
