'Til Fate Brings us Again
☆Faith☆ (A Series Of Poems)
When I think of you, I think of destiny
How east coast and west coast came to mix
The humidity we both ended up drawn to
We both had better options, yet still we chose this
Maybe intuition called us both forward
Maybe fate brought us to the same room
And maybe your heart began to open up to me
Because you felt the pull of gravity too
And in those hour-long conversations
With the end of the year hovering overhead
Maybe you saw our interactions evolving
Maybe the care I had for you finally began to spread
So in the aftermath of a forlorn farewell
Upon observing my sketches and the words of an unrelenting love
Maybe you feel but a sliver of reciprocation
The underlying emotions of missing out on a shooting star
Maybe sometimes you think of me
Maybe sometimes you think you want to text me
But most of the time, you don't feel much at all
But if fate brought us both to that cramped dorm room
If the divine energy of that night made me feel like we would connect
If the school matched us up, having us join events together as scholars
If the rose quartz crystals pointed me to your side
Then I trust fate will bring us back together come the September sun
And I hope I gain the foresight to love you just as much as I love to run
And if the gentle breezes of life carry me away from your direction
Forever know I wanted you to be my first kiss
That I dream of harmony and you're the first image that emerges
You're someone I'll never forget
I know I'll come to spot you in a crowd come someday
Perhaps mistake me for a stranger, a random Ms.
But internally you'll know I seem somewhat familiar
My dear dill pickle, you restored flames on an already faltering candle wick
