Chapter 34

It's morning and Y/N already left for work after they had breakfast. In the meanwhile Nayeon is helping Mrs. Chou in the kitchen until she got a call. Her eyes widened upon seeing the caller. It's her mother.

"Excuse me, I gotta take this call." Nayeon smiled to Y/N's mother and went upstairs.

"Mom?"

"Nayeon-ah? Are you okay? Where are you? How are you?" The woman worried.

"I'm okay mom, don't worry about me.

Are you okay?"

"Yes, I'm sorry I didn't call earlier. Your dad and brother are keeping an eye on me. They don't want me to call you."

"How are you calling now? Isn't it risky?"

"Yes it is, but I wanted to hear your voice. I just needed to know you're okay. Please be careful, Nayeon-ah. He's really angry with you." The woman warned.

"I know mom. They're not giving you a hard time right?"

"No, don't worry." Nayeon can sense that her mother is lying. "Momo said that she's coming today to pick up your stuff. I packed everything you need, is there something particular you need?"

"No, thank you."

"I need to hang up now, I miss you Nayeon-ah. Please take care of yourself." The woman said and hung up the phone. Nayeon can tell that her mother is having a very hard time, she knows how her father is. Whenever he's angry he takes it all out on either his children or his wife, but now that Nayeon isn't around, he's probably taking it all out on Mrs. Im.

Nayeon is very worried about her and she knows it's risky to go home, but she badly needs to see her mother. So she called Momo and told her to pick her up first so that they can go together. Nayeon knows it's not going to end well, but she needs to make sure her mother is okay.

"Mrs. Chou, I'm going out for a bit."

"Oh, does Y/N know?" She questioned.

"Yeah, she knows." Nayeon lied. There's no way Y/N will let her go home, so it's best to not tell her.

"Alright, have fun!" The woman smiled and right at that moment Momo arrived.

"Hello, Mrs. Im." Momo smiled when Nayeon entered the car.

"Hello, Momo-yah."

"Are you okay?" Momo worried. She somewhat has an idea about what's happening lately.

"Yes, let's go home." And with that Momo drove to the Im mansion. The guards were surprised to see Nayeon but they let her in anyways since Mr. Im didn't tell them not to.

"Wait in the car, I'll be back." She told her assistant and went out of the car.

"Nayeon?" Her mother widened her eyes when she opened the door.

"Mom..." Nayeon said weakly and pulled her mom into a tight hug. They're both on the verge of tears right now.

"Why are you here? Please go away, they can't see you."

"I'm here to get my stuff. That should be allowed right?"

"Come in." Mrs. Im said and guided Nayeon inside.

"Here's everything you need." The woman handed her a suitcase.

"I need to go to my room."

"Nayeon-ah, please leave. They're going to hear you." her mother pleaded.

"I'll be fast." Nayeon said and went very carefully to her room without making herself visible. She managed to get into her room and looked for the money that she hid in her closet. Her dad has closed all her bank accounts meaning that Nayeon doesn't have any money right now, but luckily she has a lot of cash money. She predicted that something like this would happen so she always put some cash money aside. She took the money and put it in her bag and went back downstairs.

"Okay, I'm done."

"Don't come back here. At least you should live a normal life out of this hell." The woman caressed her daughter's arm.

"Don't say that. Once everything is settled I'll get you out of here too." She won't leave her mother behind like this.

"I'm afraid that's not possible." A voice interrupted them. They both turned around to see Mr. Im and Jin. Shit.

"You really have the guts to show up here, huh? I think dad told you to not come here." Jin chuckled.

"I'm just here to get my stuff, I'm leaving now." Nayeon was about to leave but her dad stopped her.

"Not so fast, Nayeon-ah. I heard you're staying with the Chou's. You replaced your family so fast, huh?"

"I'm just staying there until I figure things out. Don't think anything else and leave them alone. At least they're a caring family, unlike this one."

"So we're not a caring family?" Jin laughed. "Such an ungrateful bitch."

"Jin! Don't talk like that to your sister." His mother scolded him.

"Why? It's the truth. She's so ungrateful and for whatever reason she's freaking obsessed with Chou Y/N."

"I'm not obsessed with her." Nayeon denied.

"Nayeon-ah, stupid as always. You really think she's going to make you the CEO? There's no chance. She may be the largest shareholder right now, but everyone likes me. No one wants the CEO to change, especially not if I don't agree on it." Mr. Im laughed.

"It's such a shame that you can't fit into this family. I mean we could've been a perfect family if it weren't for you. You're the only one that doesn't like being here and also the only one that goes against their family."

"The only one huh? Is that why you're cheating?" Nayeon didn't want to bring this up but he's pushing her buttons.

"Cheating?" The man laughed. "What are you talking about?"

"I'm talking about your affair with Mrs. Minatozaki." Nayeon locked eyes with her mother and Mrs. Im just froze upon Nayeon's words.

"I don't know where the fuck you got that information from but it's not true, dad wouldn't cheat. Do you get that?!" Jin yelled as he approached Nayeon.

"How can you be so stupid, oppa? He's been having an affair for years. If you don't believe me, then just look at this." She grabbed the pictures from her bag and showed them to her brother.

"W-what, this isn't true, right?" He said looking at the pictures.

"Let me see." Mrs. Im grabbed the pictures from his hands and the moment she saw them she collapsed.

"Mom!" Both Nayeon and Jin immediately held her.

"How could you?" She cried as she looked at her husband.

"You fucking bitch." Mr. Im grabbed Nayeon harshly and slapped her in the face. He's really angry right now. Even if she knew, she should have kept it to herself. Mrs. Im never should have found out.

"How could you?" He was about to slap her again but Jin stopped her.

"You're the one that's guilty yet you're punishing her for your actions?" Jin said with teary eyes. He never goes against his dad, but he cares a lot about his mother. She's basically the only one he cares about.

"She deserved to get cheated on." He said and left the scene. Those 6 words really triggered the shit out of Nayeon. If she could kill him, she would.

"Mom, are you okay?" Nayeon hugged her mom.

"W-why didn't you tell me, Nayeon-ah?"

"I only found out two days ago. I'm sorry." Nayeon cried.

"How could he cheat with Sana's mother?" Anyone would expect this from him, but Mrs. Im is just too good of a person. She really believed all his lies. Every time he hit her, he would come back apologizing and saying that he loves her and Mrs. Im would really believe it.

"I'm so sorry." Nayeon hugged her tighter.

"Nayeon, you should go. He's going to freak out soon." Jin suggested.

"I can't leave mom like this."

"I'm here, he can't hurt her. Please leave before it gets worse"

"He's right, you should leave." Their mother added.

"How can I leave you like this? Who knows what he'll do to you."

"He can't harm her when I'm here." Jin assured.

"Is that why she's also getting abused?!" Nayeon yelled. "He's abusing her just like us, yet you're not doing anything! What kind of  brother are you? You should have been protecting us! Scratch me, you should have been protecting mom!" Nayeon hit his chest.

"W-what?" Jin is shocked. He didn't know that his mother was also being abused.

"He's hurting you?" He kneeled down and looked at his mother.

"Mom, please answer." He pleaded and the woman nodded.

"See your perfect dad, isn't that perfect after all." Nayeon's tears kept falling.

"Why did you never tell me, huh? WHY?!" He yelled but got no answer, his mother just kept crying.

"Mom, I'm going to get you out of here. Please just hold on, okay? I'm going to get you out of here."

"No, Nayeon-ah. I already knew he was cheating." She confessed.

"W-what? You knew?"

"I knew he was cheating, but I didn't know with who."

"It doesn't matter, he doesn't deserve you. You should get a divorce." Nayeon suggested.

"I don't want to, I still love him. If I were planning a divorce I already would have gotten one."

"Are you fucking serious? What more do you want?? For him to kill you? He's abusing you and your children and on top of that he's cheating and you're still saying that you love him?" Nayeon loves her mother, but the woman is so blinded by love that she's holding on to a toxic marriage.

"Nayeon, leave. If she doesn't want it then don't force her." Jin interrupted.

"You're both out of your minds." Nayeon wiped her tears and left the house.

"Ms. Im, is everything okay?" Momo asked when Nayeon got back in the car.

"Just drive, Momo."

"Ms. Chou, you may want to see this." Dahyun came into her office and showed her something on the tablet.

Shocking news: pictures of Mr. Im and Mrs. Minatozaki being intimate have been released. The two are suspected of having an affair.

"What? Who released these??" Y/N stood up.

"I have no idea, but the pictures are the same ones that we took."

"Fuck, fuck, fuck. Now Nayeon is going to think that I released them." Y/N worried. She didn't release them, yet she knows Nayeon will think that she did it. All the signs point to Y/N anyways.

"Can you take over? I need to go."

"Of course, Ms. Chou." Dahyun said and Y/N immediately left her office.

"Ah pick up, Nayeon, pick up." Y/N said as she called Nayeon, but it went straight to voicemail. She ran to her car and made her way home.

"Mom, where is Nayeon?"

"She left a while ago. She said she told you."

"No, she didn't." Y/N sighed. Where did she go to?

"Unnie, what's happening?" Tzuyu asked.

"I need to find, Nayeon." Y/N said and walked away.

"Wait, I'm coming too." Tzuyu followed her and the two went out. She first went to the Im mansion and of course the guards didn't let her in, but they did tell her that Nayeon came here today. Afterwards Y/N called Momo, but Momo didn't pick up either. Y/N and her sister looked around for two hours, but still no sign of Nayeon. So they went back home hoping that Nayeon will show up there.

"Y/N, please calm down. She'll be fine." Mr. Chou said.

"How can I be calm? She's nowhere to be found." Y/N held her head in frustration.

"I'm sure she'll come back, she has nowhere to go." Chaeyoung tried to calm her down.

"What if they did something to her? What if she's mad thinking that I released those pictures?" Y/N's family has never seen Y/N worry like this so they don't really know how to react.

"I can't wait here, I'm going." Y/N was about to go again but right when she turned around, the maid guided Nayeon to the living room.

"Thank God you're safe." Y/N hugged Nayeon tightly, but Nayeon didn't hug back. It's a huge relief that she's safe. After a few seconds Nayeon pushed Y/N away lightly.

"I swear I didn't release those pictures. Please believe me, I didn't rel..."

"I know." Nayeon mumbled but Y/N continued to talk.

"I really didn't do it, you have to..."

"Y/N! I know!" Nayeon yelled startling everyone. "I released them."

"W-what?" Y/N raised her eyebrows. "Why?"

"Isn't it what you wanted? Wasn't it in your plan? I did what you were going to do."

"You should have thought about it." Y/N said weakly. She doesn't want Nayeon to regret this.

"I did. It's time for him to go down."

"Let's talk upstairs." Y/N held Nayeon's arm and guided her upstairs.

"What happened? I know you went there. Did they do something to trigger you to do this?" Y/N questioned. Nayeon didn't answer, instead she broke down in tears. Y/N immediately hugged her, resting her chin on Nayeon's head.

"I fucking hate him." Nayeon cried in Y/N's embrace.

"I know, I know."

"Y/N please, take him down. I want him to pay." She said pulling away and Y/N nodded.

"Now can you tell me what happened?" The CEO caressed Nayeon's cheek and with that the two sat down and Nayeon told her everything.

"I can't believe she stayed with him knowing that he's a cheater."

"She really must love him a lot." Y/N sighed as she hugged Nayeon sideways.

"He's manipulated both my mom and Jin all their lives. He has both of them wrapped around his fingers."

"How come you didn't fall under his spell?" Y/N is curious.

"I don't know. I never believed him even as a child. I knew he was manipulative."

"I'll arrange a board meeting tomorrow. I'll convince them to change the CEO. When I vote for you, they will all vote for you. Then you'll become the CEO of ImTech."

"What will happen to him?" Nayeon questioned.

"I'm not sure. It depends. We'll have to wait and see." Y/N said and kissed Nayeon's forehead.

"As long as I'm alive no one can hurt you. I won't allow anyone to hurt you." Y/N looked into Nayeon's eyes and both of them leaned in for a kiss. The kiss was slow and full of love. They're both pretty much addicted to each other's lips.

"I love you, Nayeon-ah. I really do." Y/N said and she meant it. The way she worried today for her, made it clear to the CEO, that she's indeed in love with Nayeon.

"I love you, Y/N." Nayeon rested her forehead on Y/N's.

"Jin, come here!" Mr. Im yelled.

"What is it, dad?"

"She did this, didn't she? She fucking released the pictures!" He's furious right now. How could Nayeon do this?

"It's the same pictures that she showed us so I'm assuming she did it."

"Fuck! I'm pretty sure that Y/N is the one that found out. Nayeon is doing what Y/N tells her to do. Go and find out everything about the two. Any possible information that there is, I want it. Understand that?"

"Yes, father." He looked down.

"What's with the face, huh?" The man went closer to his son and lifted his chin up.

"Nothing."

"No, no, tell me. Are you sulking because of what you found out?" He laughed. "Get over it." He pushed him.

"I might not leave like Nayeon did, but that doesn't mean that I accept whatever you're doing. I told you to leave them alone. I told you to take me instead of them. Abuse me instead of them!" Jin yelled and the man laughed.

"You're pathetic. You're 28 and still can't protect your sister and mother from me. How is that my fault?"

"Please, just stop hurting them. Hurt me."

"Fine, if that's what you want." Mr. Im said and took out his belt.

"Get on the floor."

"W-what?" Jin asked.

"What? You seem surprised. Didn't you just tell me to hurt you instead of them? I'm really angry now, Seokjin. I need to hurt someone. I can't hurt Nayeon since she isn't here so that only leaves me with you and your mom. I'm guessing you'd prefer me hitting you instead of your mom, right?" He laughed and Jin got on the floor. Out of the three, Jin is the one that gets abused the most since he would always volunteer. He used to defend Nayeon a lot when they were kids but eventually he stopped because at one point he started hating Nayeon. He hated how she was able to stand up for herself, while he couldn't. He hated how Nayeon didn't fall under his spell, while he did. He just hates everything about her. And now he hates the fact that she saved herself from him, but he... He still can't.
