Chapter 38

Y/N and Jihyo are on their way to ImTech right now. Mr. Im called Y/N and asked if he could meet her and of course Y/N said yes since she and Jihyo planned to go to ImTech anyways.

"If it isn't Chou Y/N and her half-sister." The man laughed once they entered.

"Hello, Mr. Im and Jin." Y/N glared at them.

"How about we all sit down?" Jin suggested and the four sat down.

"So how are you two?" Mr. Im asked.

"I'm sure there's a reason why you asked us to come here so how about you don't beat around the bush and just get to the point?" Y/N questioned.

"Impatient as always, Chou Y/N." Jin shook his head. "But we'll shrug it off for now since you're our largest shareholder."

"We wanted to talk to you about your shares. I need you to sell them back to us." The man stated and Y/N laughed.

"Why would I give them back to you? I mean I didn't steal them or get them for free. I paid for them and got them legally. I have no reason to give them back to you."

"Maybe this is a reason." He put an envelope on the table and Y/N and Jihyo glanced at each other before Y/N looked at it. Y/N looked at it and there she found the DNA report that shows that Jihyo is her half-sister.

"You think you can threaten me with this?" Y/N asked as she showed the report to Jihyo as well.

"I mean you wouldn't want that news to get out would you?" Jin asked.

"I thought you two were smart but I'm questioning that right now. First of all not a lot of people know who my mom is since she was basically never in the public eye anyway. My dad hasn't been in the public eye for two years either. Do you really think this news will affect my company?"

"Of course it would. You're not 100% related to the Chou family yet you're the CEO." Mr. Im reminded her.

"It doesn't matter who her mother is. Her father is the one that build the company and she is his daughter. As long as she is a Chou, people won't care especially since they barely even know who Mrs. Chou is anyways." Jihyo interrupted and Y/N nodded.

"Nice try but this won't affect my company at all." Y/N shook her head.

"Then why aren't you telling the world about this news?" Jin asked.

"Because they don't need to know. Why would I tell them my personal stuff? It's not like you told people that you were having an affair." Y/N smirked and Mr. Im got annoyed. He looked at Jin and the two knew that this isn't going to work so they had to come up with plan B.

"Okay, this news might not affect you. But this news surely will." Jin put another envelope on the table and Y/N sighed. They're really not going to give up? This time it was an envelope with pictures. Pictures of her and Nayeon kissing. Y/N's eyes widened when she saw the pictures. The two were always very careful, yet they still managed to take pictures of them.

"I can see from your reaction that this will affect your company." Mr. Im laughed.

"You're right it would. But more than my company it will affect yours. It will affect both our companies since she's your daughter. She's an Im as well. Do you think people will trust your family after this news comes out? You that's having an affair behind your wive's back and your daughter that's messing around with another female."

"You can release this if you want to, but just keep in mind that this will harm you more than it will harm us." Jihyo added.

"You may think of it that way but the meeting is in a few days, if this news comes out, Nayeon's chance of becoming the CEO will disappear. No shareholder will vote for her and you won't be able to persuade them since they'll see you as a disgusting human being." Jin chuckled. Y/N looked at Jihyo worriedly. They're right. If this news comes out before the meeting, then the entire plan will fail.

"There's no need to think Y/N, just sell me your shares." Mr. Im chuckled as well.

"What kind of father are you? You really want to ruin your daughter's life?" Y/N is disgusted by this man.

"She chose this herself. She shouldn't have backstabbed us. Besides a daughter who's into girls, is not my daughter. Your family might be accepting, but I'm not and never will be."

"I'm not even surprised. I mean you're a man that killed many people after all. I'm actually glad that she's not around you anymore." Y/N informed.

"I already warned you before, but since I feel bad for you I'll warn you one more time Y/N-ssi. Don't fucking mess with us or you'll end up like your birth mother." He laughed and Y/N tightened her fist. So did Jihyo.

"What did you just say?" Jihyo glared at him.

"Jihyo, don't mind him." Y/N tried to calm her down as she held her hand under the table. Jihyo is not someone that can stay calm like Y/N does.

"You'll regret saying that Mr. Im." Jihyo added.

"We'll see who'll regret things." Jin laughed.

"So what's your decision? Will you sell me the shares or will you ruin Nayeon's life and her wish of becoming a CEO?" Mr. Im asked.

"Can you give me some time to think about it? I'll come back to you before the meeting."

"You better do, Chou Y/N. And don't try to trick us. I promise to send you two to hell if you do." He warned and Y/N and Jihyo just stood up and left the office.

"I want to kill that man! You should have let me!" Jihyo yelled when they were walking back to the car.

"Jihyo, he's always like that. Just try to ignore it please."

"I fucking can't." Jihyo sighed in frustration.

"Did you put the mic somewhere in the office?" Y/N asked. While Y/N was talking to them Jihyo managed to hide a mic in the office so that they can eavesdrop on them.

"Of course I did." Jihyo smirked and the two got in the car. Jihyo opened her laptop and they listened to Jin and Mr. Im's conversation.

"Will we really release the pictures if she doesn't sell us the shares?" Jin asked.

"Yes." the man answered.

"What if she sells them and Nayeon becomes the CEO?"

"Then we'll release them after she becomes the CEO. No one is going to want her as a CEO when this news comes out, so then you'll chime in and take that position."

"They will release it no matter what." Jihyo sighed as she listened to them.

"We'll have to come up with something, Jihyo. Those pictures can't come out."

"So you're saying that even if they vote for Nayeon, she won't become the CEO?" Seokjin asked.

"Exactly. For now we just need the shares back. Chou Y/N is not going to leave us alone. She's a strong competitor. After all we killed her biological mother." Mr. Im laughed and Jin joined.

"D-did he just admit?" Y/N asked. They were not expecting it to hear this so soon.

"He fucking did. Do you know what this means? We have him admitting to his crime on tape. We have proof, unnie." Jihyo smiled with her big eyes.

"This isn't enough though. Let's go back to the company. Dahyun told me that she managed to fix my phone. If we can find the text message as well, we'll be one step further." Y/N suggested and the two drove back to the company. In the meanwhile Jihyo kept listening to Jin and Mr. Im talking and she basically knows everything that they're planning against Y/N. The two admit that Mr. Im is a very smart man and he can destroy Chou Y/N if he wants to, but unfortunately for him Y/N is always one step ahead of him.

"Dahyun-ah, follow me." Y/N demanded when they finally came to the Chou Holdings building.

"Yes, Ms. Chou." Dahyun obeyed and followed Y/N and Jihyo into Y/N's office.

"Did you manage to get everything on my phone?"

"I couldn't turn it on, but I put everything that's on it in this usb stick." Dahyun gave her an usb stick and Y/N immediately put it on her computer.

"Fuck why are there so many text messages?" Y/N asked herself once she saw everything.

"Just look at the last ones." Jihyo suggested.

"They're not in chronological order." Y/N sighed. This will take some time.

"Can you tell me what you're looking for? I can help you." Dahyun asked.

"It's a message from an unknown number asking to meet somewhere." Y/N informed and gave Dahyun some space to search for it.

"That's it! That's the one!" Y/N sighed in relief when she saw the message.

"Dahyun-ah, do you think you can identify the sender?"

"It's possible if the number was registered." Y/N shook her head upon hearing that. They wouldn't be that dumb to register the number right?

"Let me see." Dahyun furrowed her eyebrows and was doing all kind of stuff that Y/N doesn't understand. Dahyun is very good at these kind of stuff. She can hack into any system and she's helped Y/N a lot with that.

"The only thing I can find is a name. The name is Im Seokjin." Dahyun informed and Y/N and Jihyo smiled looking at each other. The three spend the next two hours planning on what to do.

"We have him admitting it on tape, he also threatened us on tape. We have Jin's name as the sender of the text message. The only thing that's left to do is to convince the guy in prison to tell the truth." Jihyo stated.

"Well, that's the hardest one."

"But you can do it, unnie. I know you can convince him."

"I hope so, Jihyo-yah. And I already told you that you don't have to call me unnie if you don't want to." Y/N reminded her.

"And I already said that I want to. It's not making me uncomfortable, don't worry." Jihyo assured her.

"Okay, I should go to prison. We don't have much time left and I'm guessing that that guy won't agree immediately." Y/N said standing up.

"Wait, put this mic and earphone on you. That way we can communicate." Jihyo gave her a mic and earphone and Y/N nodded before leaving.

"Hi, I'm here to see Park Jimin. Can I meet him?" Y/N asked when she got into prison.

"Visiting hours are over. Sorry." The man said.

"Maybe this will change your mind." Y/N slid some money towards him. The guy looked at it and nodded before taking the money.

"Follow me." The guy said and Y/N did as she was told. "Sit here." He gestured to a chair.

"Park Jimin! You have a visitor!"

"Visitor? No one visits me."

"Just shut up and don't make your visitor wait." The guard said and Jimin finally came.

"Who are you?" He asked as he sat down in front of Y/N.

"I'm Chou Y/N. Does it ring a bell?" He thought about it for 10 seconds and he finally recognised her.

"What do you want? Why are you here?"

"I'm here to get you out. I know you're not guilty. I know you didn't kill them."

"What are you talking about? I did kill them."

"You don't have to lie to me. I already know the truth. I know everything, so how about you don't make it hard and just listen?" Y/N questioned but Jimin didn't answer.

"You can get out of here, Jimin-ssi. I'm pretty sure you know me well. You know what I'm capable of and you know that I could get you out of here but you'll have to do as I say in order for you to get out."

"There's no way I can get out of here, Y/N-ssi. I was screwed over and didn't have a choice but to plead guilty."

"Exactly but now you have me. It's time for the real killers to go to prison, not you. You're innocent and don't deserve to be here."

"What are you planning?" He asked and Y/N told him her plan.

"They'll kill me if I admit that they did it. I can't do this. I can't risk my life." He shook his head.

"I already said that I will protect you. They can't do anything to you once you get out of here. I'll provide you money, a place to stay and everything. Just please help me out."

"Look, I'm used to living here. I've been here for 7 years now. My family never even visited me once. I have no reason to go out. The world out there is scarier then it is here. I have nothing there."

"You will have. I'll give you everything. Besides don't you think your family would forgive you if they know that you're actually innocent?"

"Maybe." He sighed. Y/N can see that this guy is a good-hearted one, that's why he ended up here, because he fell into their trap.

"Your time is done. you need to leave." The guard informed her.

"Please, think about it. I'll come back tomorrow." She said and left the prison.

"Oh, Chaeng-ie come in." Mina smiled when she saw Chaeyoung in front of her door.

"I missed you." Chaeyoung kissed Mina's cheek once she got in.

"I missed you too."

"Mina, who's the..." Nayeon stopped mid-sentence when she saw Chaeyoung.

"Nayeon unnie? What are you doing here?"

"I-I'm staying here." Nayeon answered. She told Y/N that she would stay with Momo but she doesn't want Y/N to find her so she came to Mina instead.

"Oww, does Y/N unnie know?" She asked.

"No, and please don't tell her."

"I won't, don't worry."

"Let's go to the living room." Mina suggested and the three went to the living room.

"Did Y/N unnie try to call you?" Chaeyoung asked and Nayeon shook her head.

"Yah, I don't get what her problem is! She didn't even try to call you??" Mina stated in frustration.

"You know I wasn't happy with you getting close to Y/N unnie at first, but now I actually want you guys back together." Chaeyoung informed.

"That's the thing, Chaeyoung-ah. In her eyes we were never together. She was just playing with me."

"She wasn't. She really wasn't. She loves you but she's scared of love, that's why she's acting like this."

"C'mon unnie, you've been sulking for days now, just call her if you want to." Mina said.

"No way I'm doing that. She doesn't want me around her, why would I call her?" Nayeon isn't that desperate.

"Look, I was like Y/N at first when I started to like Chaeyoung. However Chaeyoung kept fighting for me and finally made me see that she's the one that makes me happy. I'm sure Y/N will realize it too, but that's only if you fight for her."

"I can't. I just can't." Nayeon shook her head. She doesn't want to get hurt. Everyone hurt her in the past and even though she loves Y/N, she doesn't want to go through it again.

"Let's go to the bar." Chaeyoung suddenly said and Mina looked at her with furrowed eyebrows. Chaeyoung gestured her to just follow along. Mina knows that Chaeyoung is planning something.

"Yes, we should go. The three of us." Mina added.

"I don't want to. I don't feel well." Nayeon informed.

"C'mon unnie, you can't keep sulking like this." Mina pushed her arm lightly. "It'll be good to take your mind off of it for a bit."

"Yeah, besides we'll just go to the Chou bar. No one can see us there."

"What if Y/N is there?" Nayeon worried.

"She never goes there. Like never."

"But..."

"No buts, go get ready. We're going out, that's the end of it." Mina stated and Nayeon had no choice but to get ready. She doesn't feel like going but Mina's right, she needs to take her mind off of it at least for a little bit.

"What are you planning?" Mina asked her lover when Nayeon left to get ready. Chaeyoung just smirked and grabbed her phone to call someone.

"Y/N unnie?"

"Yes, Chaeyoung-ah? Something wrong?"

"Mina, Tzuyu and I are going to the Chou bar. Can you come along?"

"I have a lot of work. I'll join another day."

"Y/N, let's go. It's been awhile since we just went out." Another voice said.

"C'mon pleaaaase, I miss you. Also is that Jihyo unnie's voice?" Chaeyoung noticed.

"Yeah, I'm with her.

"Take her with you as well. Pleaaaaassseeeeee." Chaeyoung kept whining and Y/N finally gave in.

"Fine, but only for an hour."

"That's perfect." Chaeyoung smiled and hung up.

"It's time to show Y/N unnie what she's missing." Chaeyoung chuckled and Mina shook her head. When Nayeon finally got ready, the three left the house and they first went to pick up Tzuyu before going to the bar.

When they finally arrived at the bar an unknown guy suddenly approached them.

"Chaeyoung-ah!"

"Ahh, oppa you're here! Guys this is Taehyung oppa, my friend." Chaeyoung introduced him.

"Hello." He bowed and so did the three girls that don't know him.

"Is it okay if he joins us?" Chaeyoung asked and the three nodded.

"That's the girl you need to flirt with." Chaeyoung whispered to him as she pointed at Nayeon who was in the distance.

"Can you tell me why?"

"Just do as I say."

"Fine." The guy sighed and went to Nayeon.

"So are you Chaeyoung's friend?" Nayeon was surprised that he was suddenly talking to her.

"Not really. She's my friends' friend." Nayeon answered and the two started to talk. Taehyung is a very charming guy and he's pretty handsome as well. While they were talking Nayeon didn't even notice that Chaeyoung, Mina and Tzuyu left her behind with him.

"Woww, slow down there." Taehyung said when Nayeon kept drinking. Her mind is occupied with Y/N, so she's trying to forget her by drinking.

In the meanwhile Y/N and Jihyo just arrived at the bar.

"Do you see them?" Y/N asked her sister.

"Oh there they are!" She pointed at Chaeyoung and Tzuyu.

"Unnies, you're finally here!" Chaeyoung suddenly hugged them.

"What's up with you?" Y/N asked but Chaeyoung just smiled shaking her head.

"Y/N didn't want to come but I dragged her here anyways." Jihyo informed and they all glared at Y/N because she never wants to join them when they're doing something fun. The five of them just started to drink when Y/N suddenly laid her eyes on someone familiar.

"Is that Nayeon?" She furrowed her eyebrows.

"Oh, that is indeed her." Chaeyoung answered as she smirked. Finally Y/N saw her. Chaeyoung took out her phone to text Taehyung.

Chaeyoung: She's here. Flirt with her and be touchy or something. We need to make her jealous.

"Are you sure this is going to end well?" Mina whispered to Chaeyoung. She's kinda worried about Chaeyoung's plan.

"Yes, trust me. Once Y/N unnie sees Nayeon with someone else, she'll realize what she's missing." Chaeyoung just wants Y/N to be happy and everyone knows that Nayeon is the one for her. Y/N has never even showed the slightest of interest in anyone before and it is very unlikely that she will show any interest in someone who is not Nayeon. Chaeyoung is well aware of Y/N's plan and she knows that Nayeon is going to get hurt in the end but she believes that the two will work it out in the end.
