Chapter 51

Three months later

"Uncle? What are you doing here?" Y/N walked in her living room and saw her parents, Chaeyoung's parents and Chaeyoung in the living room. She hasn't seen Chaeyoung's parents ever since they threw Chaeyoung out. Y/N looked at Chaeyoung and the girl looks quite angry. Y/N is sure that something happened.

"Ah Y/N-ah, you're here. We're here to talk." Mr. Son said.

"What's going on?" Y/N sat down.

"We're here to ask Chaeyoung to come back home." Mrs. Son informed.

"Oh, why's that? I mean why so suddenly?"

"We realized our mistake of throwing her out. We want our daughter back home." Mr. Son stated.

"They're lying, unnie." Chaeyoung interrupted. "They want me back because some rich people found out that they threw me out and now they're worried that more people are going to find out. Like always all they care about is their freaking reputation."

"That's not true." Chaeyoung's mother shook her head.

"It is. I know it's true. Don't even bother, okay? I'm not coming back just so that you can save your reputation." They threw her out because of their reputation and now they want her back for the same reason isn't it ironic?

"Shut up and just come back home. Also you're leaving that art school that you're going to. How could you guys even allow her to go there?" Mr. Son asked. "That school is the worst possible school that she could go to."

"Unlike you, we care about Chaeyoung and her happiness. Ever since she started to go to that school, she's happier and doing better." Y/N stated.

"Better my ass. She still looks the same to me."

"I might look the same, but I'm way happier here. This is my new family. They've been taking care of me ever since you threw me out. You're not my family anymore so you don't have the right to force me to go back to you." Chaeyoung said in anger.

"Y/N-ah, please just let her come back to us. She's our daughter, she needs to be with us, not with you." Mrs. Son pleaded.

"I'm leaving the decision to Chaeyoung. It's not my decision to make. Chaeyoung-ah do you want to go? You don't have to, you know very well that you can stay here."

"I don't want to go, unnie. I want to stay here."

"Well, you heard her. She's staying here." Y/N smiled weakly. Chaeyoung has gotten way better since she moved in here, so going back there will make her go back to her old self for sure.

"We let her stay here thinking that you would help her get better. I'm not seeing any improvement. She even goes to that art school for fuck's sake." Her father said in frustration.

"She has improved, believe me. She's been clean for three months now and she hasn't been getting in any trouble either. Seems like we do your job as parents better than you do." Y/N glared at them. The couple is making her really mad. They never treated Chaeyoung like their daughter and they never cared for her either. Her cousin deserves way better than this. Besides Y/N is convinced that Chaeyoung turned out to be troublesome because of the lack of love she recieved from her parents.

"Y/N, don't be rude." Mrs. Chou patted her arm.

"I'm just stating the truth. They're bad parents."

"So you really don't want to come back?" Mr. Son asked his daughter.

"No. I'm not helping you out this time. I will never return back home. You should've thought about it before throwing me out. I'm not a toy. You can't just take me in and throw me out whenever you want to. Fuck this shit, I'm leaving." Chaeyoung said in frustration and went upstairs.

"Look uncle, we're taking care of her well. I know you're trying to save your reputation but just say that Chaeyoung moved out herself. She doesn't want people to know that you threw her out either. Just tell people that she moved out herself and she'll do the same. Then there will be no problem left and your reputation won't be affected either" Y/N suggested.

"Fine. That's what we'll do then. Tell her to do the same." Mr. Son said.

"I will. Don't worry about it." Y/N nodded and with that the couple left. The moment they left, Y/N went upstairs to check up on Chaeyoung.

"Chaeyoung-ah, you okay?" Y/N knocked on her door that was already open.

"I can't believe they have the audacity to come here." The girl said in frustration.

"That's how it is, Chaeyoung-ah. Rich people and their freaking reputation."

"Well, fuck rich people." Chaeyoung sat on her bed and Y/N sat down next to her.

"We're rich too you know." Y/N chuckled.

"But you're different, unnie. You, your parents and Tzuyu, you don't act like rich people at all."

"That's why we get excluded and judged a lot. We're humble and down to earth and you know very well that they don't like people like that." Y/N sighed.

"Well they can go to hell." Chaeyoung said which made Y/N laugh.

"Yah, unnie don't laugh."

"It's just cute how you get so angry." Y/N patted her cousin's head.

"I'm not fucking cute. How do I even look cute to you? I look like a fucking gang member and people distance theeirselves from me when they see me on the street."

"You're scary on the outside but cute on the inside."

"Unnie, thank you for not making me go with them. I really appreciate it." Chaeyoung looked down.

"Of course, Chaeng-ie. It's your own decision to make. No one can force you to do something that you don't want to. I will kill whoever tries that."

"Yah, I'm supposed to be the violent one here. Why are you suddenly so violent as well?" The younger girl laughed and so did Y/N. Chaeyoung has gotten into a lot of fights before while Y/N never has gotten into a serious fight like that. Y/N is way too calm, which annoys Chaeyoung at times.

"Mina and Sana unnie are coming over later. Do you want to hang out with us?" Chaeyoung asked.

"Oh I don't know, I still have some work to do."

"Please? It's been a while since we hung out. Besides we won't go out, we'll just be in the living room."

"Okay, fine. I'll join." Y/N gave in which made her cousin smile and cheer.

"Oh, they're here. I'll get the door." Chaeyoung said when the doorbell rang.

"Hey unnies, come in." Chaeyoung smiled.

"Hey babe." Chaeyoung kissed Mina's cheek which made Mina blush.

"Ugh these two are being lovey dovey again." Sana said and went towards Y/N and Tzuyu who were sitting on the couch.

"Hey Tzuyu, hey Y/N." Sana hugged Y/N from behind before sitting down next to her. Y/N has gotten closer to Sana and Mina ever since Chaeyoung and Mina started dating. However the two are dating in secret so their friends are basically the only ones that know about their relationship.

"Did you miss me, Y/N-ah?" Sana kissed Y/N's cheek.

"I saw you yesterday." Y/N chuckled.

"Yah! You're so not romantic. Look at how romantic Chaeyoung is."

"I still don't get what you two exactly are." Tzuyu looked at her older sister and Sana with furrowed eyebrows. The two claim that they're not in a relationship, but they kinda act like they are which confuses everyone.

"We're just messing around with each other, Tzuyu-yah. No big deal." Sana answered.

"Why just mess around when you can date?" Chaeyoung questioned.

"Because we don't want to." Y/N answered.

"Why? Are there really no feelings involved?" Mina asked and both Y/N and Sana shook their heads.

"I feel like you're both lying." Chaeyoung laughed and the other two agreed.

"Anyways, you guys know it's my birthday this weekend right? Well my parents are throwing a party for me and I want all of you to come." Mina revealed.

"Well, I'm in of course." Sana smiled. She loves to go to parties.

"Yeah, me too. I can't miss my girlfriend's birthday." Chaeyoung agreed as well.

"But you can't interact too much since you guys are a secret and Mina unnie's family doesn't really like you, remember?" Tzuyu reminded.

"Doesn't matter. I'll just watch my girlfriend from afar." It's hard being in a secret relationship but they can manage for now.

"Look at it from the bright side. Both of you are girls, no one will think of you as more than friends." Sana stated.

"They will since Chaeyoung's cousin here has pictures all around the internet on which she's kissing a girl." Tzuyu chuckled.

"Didn't I tell you to not bring that up anymore?" Y/N glared at her sister. It's true though, before everything that happened with Y/N and Nayeon, no one would've questioned Mina and Chaeyoung at all. But now they would because people are now aware that girls can get involved with each other in a romantic way as well.

"Are you coming Tzuyu?" Mina changed the subject.

"Yeah, I'll come."

"And you Y/N unnie?"

"Oh no, I don't think that's a good idea." The CEO shook her head.

"Cmon unnie, are you still not going out in public? You can't hide forever." Chaeyoung told her.

"I have no choice. People are still talking about me. If I go to that party, I'll be the talk of the night and I don't want that. It's Mina's birthday. She should get all the attention not me."

"C'mon, people don't even talk about you that much anymore. Most of them believe you're innocent." Sana informed.

After Y/N sold her shares to Nayeon, Nayeon dropped the charges. She told the police and the press that she's taking back her complaint due to a misunderstanding between her and Y/N. She told everyone that she and Y/N talked and figured things out on their own and that they've come to the conclusion to just leave it behind. However people found this sceptical and kept questioning what really happened. Y/N hasn't gone out in public ever since then because she doesn't want people to stare at her or talk shit about her. It's not easy to be known as an assaulter in the entire country.

"Even my employees look at me differently ever since what happened. You really think other people wouldn't?"

"That's why you need to go out in public, unnie. This way you're basically confirming that all of it was true. You have to show them that you don't care and that those were all just false accusations." Tzuyu tried to convince.

"I still don't know. There'll be a lot of people, I really don't want to ruin your party." Y/N told Mina.

"You won't. I didn't even invite a lot of people. It's just close friends and family. It'll be nothing big." Mina informed but Y/N knows that's not true. She knows the Myoui family. Whenever they throw a party, it's huge. "Also Jihyo is coming as well. I invited her today."

"See we're all going, you won't be alone. C'mon, Y/N-ie. Please come." Sana caressed her arm.

"Fine, I'll come." Y/N sighed. She doesn't really want to but gave in anyways.

"Don't worry we'll make sure that everyone will shut the fuck up or I'll kill them." Chaeyoung said which made all of them laugh. Chaeyoung was not joking though. She'll kill if she has to.

Saturday came meaning that today is Mina's birthday party. Y/N is in her room getting ready while Tzuyu and Chaeyoung are in their own rooms, getting ready as well.

"Knock knock." Y/N heard a voice and looked to see a smiling Sana by her door. "Can I come in?"

"Of course. Have you been standing there for long?" Y/N asked. Her door was open so Sana might've been there for long.

"Just a few minutes." The lawyer smiled. "You look absolutely beautiful."

"Same goes to you. This dress really fits you." Y/N complimented as she looked at the lawyer.

"Oh really?" Sana wrapped her arms around Y/N's neck.

"Yes really." Y/N whispered seductively which made Sana crash her lips onto Y/N's. Sana kissed her slowly and pulled Y/N closer to reduce the distance between them. Y/N placed her hands on Sana's waist and deepened the kiss.

"Uhum." Someone cleared their voice which made the two girls pull away immediately.

"Oh Mrs. Chou. I should go and check on Tzuyu and Chaeyoung to see if they're ready." Sana said awkwardly and left the room.

"What was that?" Y/N's mother asked. She knows that the two are messing around but she didn't expect to catch them making out.

"You already know what that was." Y/N answered. Her mom knows very well what she and Sana are doing.

"Y/N, I don't like that girl for you."

"Mom, please not again." Y/N sighed. Her mom has been saying this ever since she and Sana got close.

"I don't like her for you at all. She doesn't fit you. She's rude, thinks way too much of herself and just has a bad attitude."

"Mom, we're not even dating. It's not like I'm going to marry her. Don't make a big deal out of it, please."

"Then what is it that you're doing with her? Explain it to me so that I can understand." The woman has her suspicions about why Y/N is doing this. She thinks it's to forget Nayeon, but obviously this isn't the right way to do it.

"We're just messing around, nothing serious."

"Whatever you're doing, just know that we don't like her for you." She said referring to herself and Mr. Chou.

"Then who do you like for me?"

"You know who I like for you." The woman stated and Y/N immediately knew who she's talking about.

"Can we talk about this later? We're going to be late." Just like each time Mrs. Chou brings this up, Y/N finds a way to escape the conversation.

"Fine but don't you dare ignore this matter." The woman warned and Y/N smiled kissing her mother's cheek.

"I won't, mom. I love you." Y/N said and walked out of the room going downstairs.

"Wow, unnie. You look beautiful." Chaeyoung stated.

"She really does." Sana agreed.

"Jihyo unnie will be here in 5 minutes, then we can leave." Tzuyu informed. After 5 minutes Jihyo came and the five girls left to go to the party. Y/N is quite nervous. How will people react to see her in public after three months? The only place that she went to for three months is the company and that's it. She never went somewhere else.

"This party looks huge." Jihyo said when they arrived and got out of the car. Reporters were all over the place. Y/N knew this was going to happen. The Myoui family always exaggerates with their parties.

"Isn't that Chou Y/N?" One of the reporters asked to the other.

"That's really her. Let's go to her." The guy said and they approached Y/N. They started to ask her questions but luckily security got them inside without Y/N having to answer any of them.

"Guys, you're here!" Mina smiled widely when she saw her girlfriend and friends.

"You said this was going to be a small party." Sana laughed.

"That was what I requested, but as always my parents don't really listen to me." Mina sighed. She never wanted to have this big of a party. She didn't even want a party in the first place. Her parents just like to show off.

"Mina! Come greet the guests!" Her father yelled.

"I'll be right back. Make yourselves comfortable." Mina told them and left. The five girls went to a small table and just looked around. There are a lot of people present and they're all secretly glancing at them. The reason is Y/N of course. Luckily Y/N is confident and decided to shrug all of the attention off of her.

"Are you okay, Y/N?" Sana asked.

"Yeah, I'm fine." Sana can see that Y/N is a bit bothered by all the staring.

"Don't mind them. Jus let them stare. They're probably staring because you look freaking gorgeous tonight." Y/N chuckled upon hearing that. Sana really knows how to make Y/N smile when she's feeling down.

"That's the smile I want to see." Sana caressed Y/N's arm.

"I always smile whenever you're around me."

"I know." Sana said proudly.

"Unnie..." Jihyo said in a worrying tone. Y/N looked at her and furrowed her eyebrows. Jihyo looks dumbfounded. She's staring at something in the distance which made everyone look there as well. The moment Y/N turned around she regretted coming here in an instant.

"Is that...?" Tzuyu furrowed her eyebrows.

"Im fucking Nayeon." Chaeyoung gritted her teeth. Y/N immediately turned around not wanting Nayeon to see her. Nayeon is here and she's not alone. She's with her boyfriend, Park Jinyoung. The guy that Y/N absolutely hates. Short after Nayeon dropped the charges against Y/N, the two announced to be a couple. However Y/N doesn't believe that they're an actual couple. She knows that this was probably Mr. Im's suggestion. They're obviously doing this for clout and money.

Mina saw Nayeon and Jinyoung walking in and became worried in an instant. She immediately went to Y/N and her friends to explain the situation when she saw that they were glaring at the couple in the distance.

"Guys, I'm so sorry. I didn't know she was coming. I didn't invite her. I think my parents did. Fuck, I should've guessed it." Mina's cursing herself out for not checking the invitation list.

"It's okay, babe. Don't worry about it." Chaeyoung assured her. She knows her girlfriend wouldn't have done this on purpose.

"Y/N unnie?" Jihyo asked when she saw Y/N dozing off.

"Don't blame yourself, Mina-ssi. It's okay, really. It's not your fault." Y/N stated. She didn't think of the possibility that Nayeon and Jinyoung would be here but here they are.

"Do you want to leave? We can just leave." Sana asked her with worried eyes.

"No. We're staying. All of us." Y/N shook her head. She's done running away. She should just face whatever is going to happen.

"Why are people staring at me?" Nayeon asked her boyfriend.

"Maybe because you're in the same room as your assaulter?" He laughed.

"What do you mean?"

"Look there." He pointed with his eyes and Nayeon looked in the direction he's looking at.  Her heart sank at the sight of her ex-girlfriend. Y/N looks absolutely beautiful tonight and she has her perfect smile on, ignoring all the stares and gossiping around her.

"S-she's here?" Nayeon stuttered.

"You look dumbfounded. I didn't expect her to be here either."

"So what if she's here? Why do they keep staring at us? I thought we cleared everything up." Nayeon said in annoyance.

"Well, it's the first time people are seeing you two in one room again after what happened."

"Should we do something? This staring is making me uncomfortable."

"Well, there's one way to make them stop staring." Jinyoung smirked and suddenly held Nayeon's hand pulling her  somewhere.

"Where are we going?"

"Sana-ssi!" Jinyoung suddenly yelled and dragged Nayeon to Y/N and Sana's table.

"Fuck." Nayeon cursed under her breath.

"We just wanted to say hello." Jinyoung smiled while Nayeon looked down. She just can't face Y/N.

"Right babe?" He asked Nayeon and she had no choice but to look up. The moment she looked up, she locked eyes with Y/N but Y/N immediately averted her gaze.

"Y-yeah." Nayeon stuttered. She can feel how Y/N's sisters and Chaeyoung are glaring at her. If looks could kill, she would be dead right now.

"Well hello, nice to see you two again. It's been a while." Sana fake smiled. Y/N looked at Nayeon's hand and saw that it was intertwined with Jinyoung's. She doesn't want to be affected by it since she knows it's fake but still a part of her is worried that it might be real.

"How have you guys been?" Nayeon smiled at Jihyo, Tzuyu and Chaeyoung. She has to get herself together and act like nothing's wrong. After all they need the rumors to be cleared.

"We're fine." Tzuyu answered harshly.

"Chou Y/N." Jinyoung looked at the woman that was keeping quiet.

"Park Jinyoung."

"You're finally in public now huh?" He chuckled.

"Yeah, you know I've been a bit busy with work and all." Y/N smiled. Just like Nayeon, she's putting up an act.

"Yeah Y/N here has been working really hard." Sana held Y/N's arm. She could see that Y/N was bothered by Jinyoung and Nayeon holding hands so she wanted to make Nayeon feel the same way. She can't hold Y/N's hands or kiss her like Nayeon and Jinyoung do. Sana isn't out yet and it wouldn't help Y/N's case either so she knew that touching Y/N's arm, would be enough to annoy Nayeon. She's obviously sending Nayeon a message by doing this.

Nayeon of course saw what was happening and anger took over. She suddenly remembered everything that happened in the past. How she caught Y/N with Sana. How she still thinks that Y/N cheated on her with Sana even though Y/N assured her that she didn't.

"As always, the hardworking Y/N I see. You're pretty impressive, you know. Your stock prices had dropped a huge amount but it seems to be back in track now." Jinyoung laughed.

"Yeah, you know how I am. I never fail, Jinyoung-ssi."

"Still the same Chou Y/N as I met in college."

"Of course." Y/N fake smiled.

"Anyways we should go babe." Nayeon suggested. She can't be here any longer. It's making her feel very uncomfortable.

"Yeah, we should. Well, talk to you guys later." He smiled and the two left.

"I can't believe she has the audacity to come talk to us." Chaeyoung is trying very hard not to attack the CEO of ImTech right now.

"She's fucking shameless." Jihyo spit out.

"Guys, calm down. It's okay. Apparently it worked, look people stopped staring. They just had to see us talk to each other, I guess." Y/N shrugged it off. This is going to be one very long night.
