Chapter 6

Y/N and Nayeon have been working for a few hours now and surprisingly they're doing a good job. Both girls thought that they were going to have a hard time working together but luckily that's not the case. They actually agree on most things and Nayeon is kinda letting Y/N do her thing since she doesn't want Y/N to regret her choice of becoming an investor.

"I think if we lower the expenses from here and put it there then that will actually raise the profits by around 2,5%...." Y/N kept talking and talking and talking about what they should do as she drew everything on a board. The board looks like a mess, Y/N's handwriting isn't helping either. Nayeon doesn't understand anything from what Y/N is saying so she was just standing next to the CEO and stared at her with a pokerface. She has to admit that Y/N is a pretty attractive woman. She didn't notice it until now because she just kept seeing Y/N as only an investor and not as a person. Not only is Y/N smart and has good manners but she's also beautiful. Nayeon can see why many people would want to be around the young CEO.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" Y/N noticed how Nayeon is looking at her.

"People told me that you're smart, but now I see that you're actually a mastermind." Y/N chuckled upon hearing that. It's a nice compliment to hear but Y/N is questioning Nayeon's sincerity.

"Are you complimenting me because I decided to become an investor?" Y/N asked as she continued writing things on the board.

"No, It's just what I think."

"You wouldn't have said that if I rejected your offer. You would've been cursing at me right now." Y/N shook her head.

"I'm not that bad, Y/N-ssi." Nayeon defended as she crossed her arms.

"Says the person that threatened me."

"You didn't leave me a choice. Besides that was the first time I ever threatened someone." Nayeon admitted.

"Is that why it got backfired?" Y/N smirked. She doesn't know why but she likes to tease Nayeon. It's nothing like Y/N at all. She usually doesn't like to tease people.

"You know I think this building here should be sold first instead of that one then the reconstruction can start sooner." Nayeon changed the subject.

"Hmm, that's actually a good idea. I like the way you think." Why couldn't Nayeon think of this before? Maybe working with Y/N brings out more ideas.

"I think you're hungry, Nayeon-ssi." Y/N heard the woman's stomach growl. It's normal for her to get hungry, they haven't eaten in a while and it's late.

"I'll get some food for us." Y/N was about to walk away.

"Wait!" Nayeon stopped her by holding her arm and first thing Y/N did was look at Nayeon's hand on her arm. Nayeon immediately pulled away once she realized.

"You shouldn't go out of this room. People are going to question why you're here at this time, so let me just get it."

"Yeah, you're right." Y/N nodded.

"I'll be right back." Nayeon smiled and left the office.

After about 10 minutes Nayeon came back with some food and drinks.

"You can take a break now, Y/N-ssi. We should eat." The girl suggested and Y/N nodded as she sat down in front of her.

Just like what Y/N expected, Nayeon brought some fancy food that's probably way too expensive for it's quality.

"Why are you looking at the food like that? You don't like it?"

"No, No, I do. I was just wondering where you got it so quickly." Y/N informed.

"I always ask the employees in the cafeteria to provide some extra food for me in case I get hungry."

"Don't tell me you don't ever eat in your office?" Nayeon raised her eyebrows.

"I do. Just not this kind of food." Y/N has never been the type to spend much money on food. Why would she spend 50 dollars on something that she could get for 20 dollars?

"Then what do you eat?"

"Just instant noodles or something." Nayeon started laughing upon Y/N's statement which made Y/N look at her.

"You're a billionaire but you eat instant noodles?"

"Yeah, what's wrong with that? Don't you ever eat it?" Y/N questioned.

"Hell no. It's unhealthy besides who knows what's in it." Nayeon shook her head in disgust.

"You'll change your opinion once you've tried it." Y/N is sure about that.

"No way I'll ever eat that." Nayeon laughed and so did Y/N. The CEO can see that the girl is indeed very spoiled.

"I was shocked to hear that Son Chaeyoung is your cousin." Nayeon admitted after a short silence.

"I hear that quite often. How do you know Chaeyoung?" Y/N questioned.

"I know everyone, Y/N-ssi."

"By everyone you mean everyone that comes from a rich family, right?"

"Yes, that's everyone." Nayeon nodded. Rich people always look down on people from lower classes and Nayeon isn't an exception to that. Y/N might be rich but she never looks down on people no matter what their financial status is. She's just not that kind of a person.

"How can you be so different from her, though? I mean she's nothing like you." Nayeon questioned.

"Why are you asking me that? Are you planning on threatening me again?"

"No." Nayeon sighed. "Stop bringing that up. I was just asking because I'm curious besides I won't threaten you anymore. At least if you don't do anything suspicious."

"Don't worry, I'm not planning on doing anything suspicious but maybe you're the one that's planning something?" Y/N raised her eyebrows.

"I guess we'll only find that out in the future."

"If you're done eating, we should go back to work." Y/N suggested.

"Yeah, I'm done." Nayeon stood up and with that they continued to work for another few hours.

"Y/N-ssi, maybe we could..." Nayeon stopped mid-sentence when she noticed the CEO sleeping on the couch in Nayeon's office. Nayeon went closer to make sure if she's really sleeping and yes she is. She hesitated wether or not to wake her up but in the end she just decided to let her sleep. Y/N looks like she's cold so Nayeon decided to put her jacket over her. The billionaire CEO really looks innocent while sleeping and Nayeon noticed that the girl really has beautiful facial features which she didn't notice before.

The next morning

"Ughh." Y/N groaned first thing when she woke up. She was shocked to see herself on the couch in Nayeon's office and there was an unknown jacket on her. Y/N could already guess that it's Nayeon's. It smells very good. She immediately got up but she couldn't see Nayeon. Maybe the woman left?

"I see you finally woke up." Nayeon showed up out of nowhere.

"I'm sorry, I fell asleep. Why didn't you wake me up?"

"It's okay, we worked until late last night. But I wasn't expecting for Chou Y/N to fall asleep that quickly." Nayeon chuckled.

"Me neither." Y/N shook her head. She's normally someone that can go all night without sleeping but why did she have to fall asleep last night? And that in Im Nayeon's office?

"Didn't you sleep?" Y/N asked as she looked at the time on her phone and it's 8am.

"I did. I went home when you fell asleep and came back early in the morning."

"That's good. I really look like a mess right now, I should go home and change." Y/N said as she rubbed her head.

"Wait. You can't just leave my office like this. You'll grab a lot of attention. People can't know that you became my investor yet."

"Why not?" Y/N's confused.

"Everyone will find out tomorrow anyways. Let's just keep it to ourselves for now." Truth is when people find out, they might try to talk Y/N out of it. Especially her brother Jin. So it's best if no one knows. This will surely come by surprise to everyone.

"Okay, if that's what you want." Y/N gave in without further questioning.

"Here take this cap and try to leave as fast as possible. Make sure that no one sees you." Nayeon handed the girl a cap.

"You came prepared huh?" Y/N chuckled as she took the cap.

"I'll continue working on the project and I'll come by your office later to finish everything up. Is that okay?"

"Yeah, of course. I'll be in my office waiting for you then." Y/N smiled and with that she left the office. Just like Nayeon said she walked in full speed without showing herself to people. Luckily no one saw her.

"Where were you all night?" Y/N's mom asked first thing when Y/N arrived home. She's just on time for breakfast.

"Sit down. Join us for breakfast." Her dad exclaimed and Y/N obeyed.

"I was working on a project."

"Y/N didn't I tell you to not work at night? You're already working so much." Her mom scolded her.

"Your mom is right about that. You don't want to end up like me do you?" The father questioned and Y/N shook her head. She looked at Chaeyoung who was in front of her but Chaeyoung didn't even spare a glance at Y/N. She knows the younger girl is ashamed.

"Unnie, where were you working though? I was at the company last night but you weren't there." Tzuyu asked.

"I was working at ImTech." Y/N wasn't sure if she should tell them but then again there are no secrets between this family. That's why they're so close to each other.

"W-what? Why?" Tzuyu asked in confusion.

"I decided to invest in Im Nayeon's project."

"What made you change your mind? You were so persistent on not investing in it." Mr. Chou asked.

"Let's just say that some things happened that made me change my mind." No one really understands what Y/N means, but they know that Y/N always makes the right decisions.

"Why were you working on it though? I mean you're just an investor aren't you?" Ms. Chou questioned.

"There were some things that Im Nayeon was struggling with. She's a beginner after all and you know how I like to help people."

"Just be careful, she might be using you." Chaeyoung said, which Y/N didn't expect.

"Don't worry, she can't use me." Y/N could really take advantage of the fact that Nayeon's future depends on her. Anyone would do it but Y/N can't bear to do that. She doesn't need any advantage that comes from it.

"As expected Im Nayeon gets what she wants in the end. She definitely pulled some strings to make you invest didn't she?" Tzuyu chuckled as she shook her head.

"Was she the one that threatened you?" Chaeyoung asked in a serious tone. Y/N was a bit hesitant wether to answer or not.

"Yes, but I already handled it, so don't worry about it. Those pictures cannot and will not get released."

"Is that why you gave in? Because she threatened you?" Her father questioned.

"Of course not. You know I don't give in, in poor threatenings like that." Y/N reminded him.

"When she realized that the other girl in the picture was Myoui Mina, she immediately knew that it was a wrong move to threaten me." Y/N added.

"AH yeah, they're friends right?" Tzuyu remembered.

"Yes. I handled the situation already, so you guys don't need to worry." The CEO assured them and they just continued eating. After breakfast Y/N was going to rest a bit until Chaeyoung suddenly showed up at her room.

"Can I enter?" The young girl asked.

"Yeah, sure. Come in."

"I just wanted to thank you." Chaeyoung said weakly.

"Thank me? For What?" Y/N is confused.

"For saving me again." Chaeyoung was surely going to be in big trouble if those pictures got released. Her parents already give her a very hard time, it would just worsen if this comes out.

"You know that's my job right? Whatever you do, I will always have your back and I will always protect you." Y/N patted the girl's shoulder.

"Why? You literally don't have to."

"I see you as my little sister, Chaengie. Just like how I protect Tzuyu, I also want to protect you."

"I'm sorry for the other day, though. I will try to be more responsible from now on." Chaeyoung assured.

"I hope so. I know you're having a hard time and I'm also sorry for what I said. You know I wouldn't throw you out like that."

"I also never thought that my parents would throw me out but they still did." Chaeyoung said sadly.

"Who cares? You have us. I won't let you go through something like that again but please don't take any advantage of that. You know what kind of person I am." Y/N tried to warn her lowkey. Y/N is always nice and polite and she never gets angry but when she does get angry, she can be very scary and she won't even think twice before hurting you. It's best to not bring that side out of her. Chaeyoung has only seen it once and she never wishes to see it again.

"You're the best." Chaeyoung suddenly hugged Y/N, startling her.

"You're such a kid." Y/N patted her head as she hugged back.

"What is this scene? I'm disgusted." Tzuyu saw them when she was on her way to her room.

"You're just jealous that unnie is hugging me and not you." Chaeyoung stuck her tongue out.

"Whatever, think what you want."

"Tzuyu doesn't want a hug?" Y/N asked smiling.

"Hell no."

"Hmm I think she wants one, don't you think so Chaengie?"

"I think so too." Chaeyoung looked at Y/N and the two smirked. Tzuyu knows what's coming so she tried to run away but the two other girls were faster and they pulled her into a tight hug.

"Yah, let me gooo!" The youngest yelled but the two didn't listen. Ms. Chou immediately went to the place where a lot of yelling was coming from. She thought they were fighting but she smiled when she saw that they were actually having fun.

"Girls, I have work to do right now but how about the three of us go do something tomorrow? It's been a while since we spend some time with each other." Y/N suggested when they finally freed Tzuyu from their grips.

"You know I'm always down for some fun, you don't need to ask." Chaeyoung chuckled.

"How about you, Tzuyu-yah?"

"I guess I'm in as well." She sighed. Tzuyu might act like she doesn't like her sister and cousin but she actually cares a lot about them.
